Can't believe how many people want us to build the midfield around a player who is such a huge flight risk, and will be every single summer
He'll be off in January or next summer anyway. Solskjaer's successor will be building the side around someone else.

I do think he'll be gone next summer.

But there's no denying he is our best player by far, and I find it astonishing how much people want rid of him. Like he's the problem.

Prime Scholes would struggle in this side if all the pressure and attention was solely on him to make something happen.
He’s been asked to play how Scholes played for us. Scholes would obviously perform better in Pogba’s current position and would indeed make the team perform better as a whole. United are continuing the whole make and make do with what they have.
Pogba needs replacing in his current role and moving further up the pitch, not being moved out of the club. But I believe his intention is to leave and if his sale funds are untilised correctly for the benefit of the team then it’s making the best of the situation. Club can’t afford to allow him to run down his contract, as it certainly does appear we’d need to replace him with a bargain basement player, unless we get a big fee for him.

It's not poppycock.
How was Robson when we were average. How was Stevie hollywood for some poor pool teams.

We still make excuses for Pogba now. As much as i still want him to boss it
There’s many different types of players in the world. Gerrard, Robson, Keane etc had very particular skill sets which relied upon work rate. Those types can drive you on, but that’s more the mctominay role.

I’m not even sure why pogba is being compared to them anyway, he’s never done this before and probably won’t.

He’s an attack orientated midfielder with a fantastic eye for a pass and can chip in with goals. we’ve seen what he’s capable of in a better team (Juve,France) so I’m not sure why so many fans doubt he has that ability? The common denominator is he’s surrounded by lower quality, maybe he just tries too hard?

Ralf Rangnick.
He initially rushed back from his injury too soon and re-injured himself, he hasn't played for weeks now, his only media posts have been him showing he's working really hard to get fit so why is his thread so active with toxic posts?

He's living in many people's heads rent free.

Either would function better in the role Ole has asked or him this season. Pogba is far better than both in a free role, which he isn’t getting at United anytime soon.
If it takes a Pogba sale to improve the team as a whole I’m all for it. That is if the Glazers want to improve the side or continue as they have done for some time.
I think both are decent but nowhere near to WC players ie players whom any serious title contender will have to either bench or sell

Hopefully ole will be gone before Pogba does. We need someone whose capable of seeing past the UK for talent

He takes risks, that sometimes cost the team. Sections of our fans want no risk entertaining football, I’m. Not sure what planet they live upon.
But to facilitate Pogba he needs players better than any midfielder we have to play in a supporting role to him. Put a top class holding midfielder and possibly McTommy in a midfield trio with Pogba and we’d improve instantly. Matic and Fred aren’t up to it. One is too slow and the other too erratic.

It's interesting to note opposition fans complete lack of fear or even respect for Pogba when compared other clubs' 'star' players.

Is he faking an injury to milking it or is he that badly injured?

Halfway through and already tired of Mata's shitty finishing.

He's a creative genius. Most of those passes are unbelievably good. Shame they didn't mostly lead to goals...nothing he can do about what's on the end of the pass. Pogba has become the scapegoat but you couldn't put a reel together like that for any other player over the past three seasons except DeGea

It could be innocent but at the very least it’s unprofessional to be seen in public talking to the manager of a club he’s been constantly linked with. In all honesty it wouldn’t be a massive shock if he leaves in the new year.

United should do what Liverpool has done when klopp joined. Just sell the current squad piece by piece and rebuild a new one that buys in to the manchester united ethos. If im not mistaken only henderson lallana and lovren are the ones that klopp did not sell because no one would take them at that time. the current squad you have now including pogba and de gea are just not good enough. I would only hold on to james maguire and maybe rashford. the rest sell them and re invest in new players that actually give a damn playing for the badge.

He's a brilliant player and it'll be a shame to see him leave without ever seeing the best of him on a consistent basis. But it won't be such a bad idea to sella want away player and use the money to build a new midfield.

It'll be a shame to see him leave but he really has disappointed for large parts of his time here too. So, while he's a brilliant player, he plays well in patches and is never consistent. Maybe it's not his fault, he's certainly playing in a team that's far below his abilities. Either way, it's time for him to go.

Imagine meeting your childhood idol and ignoring him as it might not look right. It’s hardly like they were signing a pre contract agreement. SAF had plenty of meetings with players and United fans loved it, when the boot is on the other foot not so much...

They ran into each other at an event in Dubai. What’s he supposed to do? Turn around like a jilted teenager and walk the other way?

Don't forget Zlatan that some people worship around here.
Why are people acting as if we don't watch this guy week in week out? Seriously, he's a good player but inconsistent and will never be in the top bracket until he finds that consistency. The line "He would've easily broken the assists record if our strikers could only finish their dinner" can be applied to a lot of people.
He's our best player but that's not saying much.

Not in our team they wouldn't and that's exactly the point.

He is the only one of our midfielders that can anything near this ability. If we lose him and cannot replace him with similar quality we are in deep trouble.

I agree, but if the plan is for Pogba to be our "main man" we're also in trouble.

He doesn't need to be. Pogba is a very good player but not Messi or Ronaldo.

It's not fair to expect or plan for him to be the savior. He was never meant to be that either, just an icing on the cake.

That's not how the club have built him up.
Eitherway, we need quality in midfield and I don't mind selling him if we sign James Maddison and Ndidi (or similar) for example. I also don't mind him staying but we need to go back to three in midfield and get at least two players that can help him out, he works well in a system but he's not going to ever carry the team over the whole season.

We need attitude more than skills. Pogba has the skills but not the right attitude. The same goes for half our squad.

Players like rojo martial lingard rashford dont care about the club. Players that do cares dont have the right skill.

Might well be a coincidence. I mean, if you’re going to have a shady secret meeting to engineer a move away, you don’t just rock up in public like that do you? They’d be going to a private hotel with fake mustaches and giant white sheets.

He’s still leaving in the summer though.

In fairness, I think Rashford does care about the club.
