1) It isn't unprecedented, we have an injury crisis every single season - it usually doesnt happen within 10-games though. It's completely negligent to take this squad, with its record of multiple injuries at the same time, and strip it down to a situation where you're relying heavily on 17-19yr old kids and a winger from the Championship inside 10-games.

2) Pogba is being wrapped in cotton-wool. He's told Ole he's leaving it seems, now its a case of keeping him transfer-ready until the window opens.

EDIT - DISCLAIMER
Point #2 - I have recently started a new job working on a TV/Media project that has arms within the BBC in some sense. I'm not claiming to be ITK, I'm just basing my opinion here on the fact I've been told by two guys with links to the BBC's news department - that Pogba is definitely leaving United, and this is not impossible in January.

Seriously, what is it with our fans and the character assassination of certain players? Players get injured all the time and in these two cases we bloody saw the injuries occur! When have either of these guys faked injury before? Pogba played our season opener without a holiday post World Cup Final despite others not going as far as him not returning.

I see so many of our fans stretching to try and blame all different people and aspects for our current plight and it's ridiculous.

Just bad luck? This bad luck does not happen to teams on the up.
We won 6 on the bounce under LVG and were 4-1 up against reigning champions city and Carrick got injured. Bad luck. Messed up our whole system.

In 2010. We were on course for 4 in a row league titles and 3 CL finals in a row. Rooney got injured stepping out of a tackle in Bayern. Out on aways goals. Lost the league by a point. Bad luck.

And so on

I’m past caring, like a lot of our squad I suspect.

Glad Pogba got his 90 minutes against Rochdale, though.

It's just such a low period for us, people are getting over emotional and devising conspiracy theories all over the place.

Having said that, I would like to see Pogba's record v the likes of City and Pool.
I'm sure he's missed quite a few of the games against these two.

Obviously lads , what has happened to De Gea whilst playing for Spain is unfortunate , to say the least especially as we are playing our most hated and fiercest rivals on Sunday
Romero is not as good as De Gea but he is a good steady Goalkeeper who will not let us down (cue a mistake now in the game arghhhh....lol)

Pogba , on the other hand - is no surprise to me whatsoever
It is blatant to most United Fans and Supporters that he does not want to be a the Club and plays that way , in the vast majority of matches for us

At the risk of stimulating debate - and lets face it , that's what these Forums are about , Opinions and Debate - I , for one , am sick and tired of him and have been , for a good 18 months or so now
I would sell him at the first opportunity if I could and I say , if I could - because I do not believe many Teams would actually be willing to buy him and certainly not for the money that is being asked

The wider issue being - that despite what I have just said about Paul Pogba - the reality is , that he is still our best player (aside from maybe De Gea) and therefore selling him would weaken our team even further - That is the massive dilemma with him

Anyone else think we’ve seen the last of Pogba in a United shirt?
We need reinforcements in January - selling him will raise these funds and reduce our league highest wage bill.
He doesn’t seem up for it and I think he’s played himself a move away. Ole doesn’t know how to handle him.

If I was them I'd probably want to be "injured" for this game, too.
I know yours was a tongue in cheek comment, but Pogba and De Gea are two characters who absolutely love the biggest occasions. It's probably not the sort of game where you'd want a Pogba back in lacking match fitness though, given how much running will be needed to compete with that lot.

Just a footnote on from previous post about Paul Pogba ....

I have been fortunate to have grown up and watch United for over 45 years man and boy as I am sure many have on here and if anyone is seriously going to tell me that this lad can lace the boots of a Bryan Robson (in particular) or a Paul Scholes or Roy Keane - then they are serious deluded and I would love to have a debate/discussion with them in the Pub sometime over a pint or two or three !

This would have been bad news when I was still deluding myself that pogbatelli would bother to move his arse if he was playing.

A disaster of a united player that I can't wait until is upgraded.

This game will be excruciating to watch.
I think it'll be super stressy/adrenaline soaked, but if we go a goal down it'll ease, and it'll just feel like Newcastle, a bit dead, and not hurting as much as usual, as we recognise we're very close to another end of a manager's run.

Upgraded? In ability terms, no chance. In desire, every chance.

But for whatever people say about wanting 11 lesser ability over quality without heart, they don't really mean it.

I think he's genuinely injured this time, but did show he still has some heart by even bothering to play the full 90 v Rochdale.
He could very easily have asked to come off.

Those aren't the only two metrics though. He can be improved upon in many ways. He'd have gone missing like he almost always does against a decent team for us. Probably just didn't want to be on the pitch for his humiliation

He was definitely leaving in the summer just gone too.
He certainly won't leave until someone puts at least 100m on the board.

We were losing anyway.

Hopefully it doesn't turn to be embarrassing as the 0-3 in Moyes season.

Interesting thought. Its all on the board for keeping a fairweather player against his will who publicly said he wants out

So Pogba played through the pain barrier so he could face Rochdale? Either Solskjaer's lying to avoid saying he doesn't want to play, or he really was playing through the pain barrier vs Rochdale with the plan to play him again vs Arsenal 5 days later, which makes Solskjaer an idiot.

Okay why Mr. Ole played him full 90mins against mighty Rochdale? It's on him and the fitness team, like everything else at this club nowadays, nothing works fine.

Great... yet another thread that "Ole out" posters can twist into a moanfest about him.

I'll miss Pogba more than De Gea personally. 5 at the back may be the way to play though I thought Shaw (in a back four) played Salah really well last season ... risk of back five is it leaves gaps behind FBs if we push up and lose the ball.

I look forward to this game loads more than City and regardless of injuries, can't wait for this. I'll be there .... probably expecting the worst but hoping for the best.

Tickles me that fans are blaming Ole for Pogba playing against Rochdale, it will have been 100% Pogba's call, he probably volunteered to play to prove his fitness, and it's not Ole's fault if Pogba decided to play the full 90+ minutes if as suspected he'd picked up an injury, or aggravated a previous injury whilst he was on the pitch.

No, there are more factors than that.

No surprised at Pogba not being fit given that Ole kept playing him hurt, including 90 minutes against Rochdale.
Ole, God love him, really ought to be called out on that decision- bordering on negligence

Do we know what advice olè was given?
I honestly find it hard to believe that he'd play a player against doctors advice

Such as that he was feeling fine and played the game, got through the game fine and then in practice later the problem occured again.

Players put pressure on themselves to get fit again and if they say that they feel fine you can't as a manager just think they're lying if they are performing in training.

Or no, I'm talking shit. There are always just two option. Everything is black and white all the time. Easier to think about things and understand them that way.

Oh get out of here with that "im not claiming to be ITK but here's something only someone ITK would know" bullshit.
