Mame Diouf. Saw a football video where he was mentioned. He's still at Stoke.

Henri Lansbury. He barely started any games for us in the championship due to being ridiculously injury prone.

Papiss Cisse. Thought he was going to be a decent mid table striker. Instead he faded into obscurity. Just looked him up and he’s playing in Turkey.

Milos Krasic.

I saw him play at VP for CSKA Moscow in 2009 in the europa and thought he was great, reminded me of Hleb who was at Arsenal at the time.

He moved to Juventus that summer but totally flopped and sadly his career completely bombed from that point, last time I looked he was playing in Polish league.

Joaquin. Completely forgot about him until he popped up in the news recently about breaking some record.

Matthijs de Ligt. That punk who flirted with us and Barca, but ended-up joining Juventus, based mostly on unhealthy fascination with Ronaldo.

Flicking through this thread like "yep, yep, yep, ye.. wait what?"
+1. Yeah, WTF - why is Costacurta being hated on? :D

He plays for the Miami Heat now. Apparently pretty good when on form.
He can't play basketball much, but they are apparently considering to make him the captain of the cheerleading squad. Questionable social media posts may hold back his Heat career, though :D

My friend was trying to convince me that Pukki is the most famous Finnish footballer of recent years, and it took me a while before I could think of Jussi Jääskeläinen.

Was absolutely boiling my brain to name a certain English centre half who played for West Brom and Villa ten or so years ago, to the point where I scanned manually down this list of Villa players before I found one Curtis Davies. I don't know why I couldn't remember the name nor why I started thinking of the player but it killed me for about five minutes.

He used to be my neighbor and we played football together many times

Is he a nice bloke? I remember him doing a post-match for Villa talking about Wigan's 'pub pitch' and getting a bit triggered. It was that season when the DW surface was abysmal but for me it wasn't for out-of-towners to criticise :wenger:

I didn't really know him that well. Seemed like a nice enough guy.

Go back a decade and Finland had loads of better players than Pukki, Hyppia and Jari Litmanen the two best Finns of all time then you had Niemi in goal who had some great seasons for Southampton in premier league. Mikael Forsell aswell who was close to being prem top scorer one season before his knee gave up. Pasanen and Teemu Tainio were decent players aswell in a few leagues.

Was watching a Valldolid-Barca game on YT the other day, remember Ricardo the keeper? He was awful in that but given it was 01/02 season Man. United signed him six months later. As baffling as Taibi coming in.

Pretty sure he only played about four games and conceded 3-4 penalties.

Fergie had some strange recommendations for keepers during that time, I could at least see the sense in someone like TIm Howard who had that athletic quality and went on to do well for Everton.

I was trying to remember the name of that Icelandic defender who played for Liverpool. I searched the web and found Ragnar Klavan, and also found out he isn’t Icelandic at all.

Oh! Jari Litmanen! There's a player I didn't even remember that I had forgotten :D He was world class indeed, esp. in his Ajax days!

Adriano - saw a compilation of his goals at Inter on Twitter the other day. Absolute beast of a player but then got fat and had mental health issues
