Looks good in the videos which is something that's expected going by how highly he is rated by journalists and also by the club (going by the huge fee we paid to sign him).
Hopefully he has the same world class potential as Mbappe.

I wonder how much will he cost if he broke the first team at Monaco. Great work by the club if Meybri turns out to be a player of that caliber.

Thanks for that. Looks excellent in this video considering the circumstances i.e the fact that he's just 16 and United had 10 men on the pitch.

So what exactly Mejbri is?

Flair midfield player ala Pogba?
All action midfielder ala Gerrard?
Neat passer ala Scholes?
No nonsense technical midfielder ala De Bruyne?

Can someone enlighten me?
He's a old school playmaking type with excellent vision and creativity with the added ability of controlling the tempo of a game with his superb passing ability IMO. Could be developed as a deep lying playmaker aswell as a playmaking #8.

I'd say he's alot closer to someone like Modric stylistically.

Is he as agile as Modric?

He might not be as agile as Modric at the same age due to Modric having the midget factor aided by low centre of gravity in his favour. But Hannibal is already probably a couple of inches taller and will hopefully develop other facets of his game due to his height. But having said that, Hannibal seems more than fine as far as being agile goes.

Don't think we should expect any young player to reach that level. It would be a freak and rare occurrence for any club for them to have a youngster at Mbappe's level.

Despite some seeing doom and gloom in everything regariding our club I think we have a group of young players like Tuanzebe,Greenwood,Garner,Gomes,Chong,Williams.Laird,Levitt and now Mejbri plus some younger ones that could have a good chance of being first team players.
  1. 1.In all honesty apart from De Gea,Bissaka,Shaw,Lindelof,Maguire,McTominay,Pogba,Martial,Rashford and James would these players be worse than the rest of the squad?
  2. 2.Do any of these players have a Man Utd future? Young,Rojo,Jones,Mata,Matic,Fred,Lingard,Bailly,Fosu-Mensah,Pereira and perhaps even Dalot also? I think you could state that none of these players have had or will have a positive impact on the field for Man Utd.
We let 7 players go this summer and we have 7 to 10 players more that I think many United fans do not see a future for here. Play the kids with those 10 players in section 1 and then buy 4 to 6 players in the coming 2 coming transfer windows. But for now please just play a talented kid with everything to prove rather than players that have not and will not contribute on the field.

Perhaps unfair to include Fosu-mensah and Dalot? Both are still young and hasn’t had a proper chance to show what they can do yet.

Dalot is unfair. Fosu-mensah doesn't have a future here imo. Technically he's quite limited.

Trying to look for some positives after today. I've been really impressed with this lad though. Looks a cut above the rest. Technically superb, great passing, tenacious in the tackle and looks to have a good work rate. Hopefully we don't feck up his development and he's in the first team within a couple of years.

He definitely looks very good. Didn't have a outstanding game against Newcastle on Saturday but from what I've seen he looks a huge talent and has craft and guile in abundance. Will become a tempo contoller from midfield from the evidence at hand thus far, which is hopefully gonna benefit us greatly in the longterm.

Probably a better player than most of our first team players.

Been impressed so far, the last bit I’m just looking for is that real dribbling ability. If I see that, I’d be fully excited. Right now his technique and passing range look good. That little shuffle and drag-back to evade opposing midfielders would add a dimension to his game that will separate him from most of the rest, when combined with the rest of his game.

Hopefully they leave him alone for some time and let him develop. He's a talent for sure, but let's see how he develops in the more important years of his career. He could be a dime a dozen for all we know.

Looks more like Herrera than anyone else in that video, so curious to know why people see him as a deep lying play maker - far cry from players usually associated with that role like Pirlo, Scholes in his latter years, Carrick, Kroos etc.. Puts himself about and has some neat passes / turns, so probably a decent #8.

Gonna stick my neck on the line here and say he will have a cameo in the first-team before the season is over, providing Ole is still the gaffer.
When we're 13th in the table with 5 games left of the season, you might be right.

I have seen some great prospects with the Academy that never made the big step up. So I will await to see if he makes it first, before I judge.
Fosu and Gomes were just two, I thought would be starters for the first team now.

Gomes has only just turned 19 and Fosu is still recovering from an ACL injury. I'm not saying they will make it (I don't think Fosu will btw) but let's give them chance to develop naturally first.

I'd happily bet that if we lost Gomes due to his contract running out, he'd do very, very well if Bundesliga or La Liga.

Gomes? the kid's only been in the first team a few months.
