Finally he's feeling the heat

Keep it up boys
Another one in the long line of people at the club who were given jobs they lacked the competence for. From Board level to CEO to manager to several overpaid frauds among the players there's a severe lack of football wisdom

Keep it up my fellow fans. The fact that he’s come out with this means the pressure is building from all corners. Fans, media, opposition fans see him as a joke. Another Woodward out plane, anti Woodward songs at games would build more momentum. Then we need to public figures, ex players criticising him.

He’s got crack at sone point and quit or glazers realising that he’s a toxic vermin that needs removing.

I personally think they are forever in debt and most they would do is move him off football duties. Let’s see!

Why? We've spent 6 years going for experience and track records in both managers and players and we've gone backwards, what we need is talent and vision. I'd say by far the most important criteria is a person focussed on developing a young, dynamic team based on our own academy players. Knowledge of the game is essential, obviously, as is an ability to spot talent but giving the job to a young, ambitous and able person is what we should be doing, not constantly trying chase another clubs success by hiring their backroom staff.

I keep mentioning his name in the DoF thread but Stuart Webber at Norwich is the man we need, but there is no way Woodward will give up control to a proper DoF, so what we'll get is a chairperson of the transfer committee which will change very little.
Having managers with experience has NOT been the cause of our problems.

They were not supported enough. Ffs.
Approx. 600m spent on players in the last 6 years. Hey , you can still choose to say managers weren't supported and needed more money. Fact is, managers who spent that money were clueless or not spending on the right players.

No wonder why Ed want to take charge of it.

I may be the devil, but i'm not a monster
Thinking more about it, I think Ed will be moved sidewards back into a commercial only role and somebody like VDS will come into run as a CEO of footballing operation etc.

I dont doubt for a second that if VDS was given the opportunity, he would jump. Biggest football club in the world etc.

During Ole the caretaker manager

"First I was afraid, I was petrified,
Thinking that We would never win with Jose in the side,
And then I spent so many nights, thinking I could not be wrong,
Ole's on song, Giggsy's recommendation all along,
And then We're back, He's here to stay,
I will continue my savings and there will be no Jose,
Herrera got no more year to go, but McTom is so ready to go,
I will survive, I will survive"

Several months later

"Now I'm afraid, I'm petrified,
Thinking that We would never win with counterattacking side,
And then I spent so many nights, thinking this is all must be wrong,
It's Giggsy's fault, his recommendation all along,
And then We're back, into the mess,
It's all Giggsy's fault, He exposes Daniel James,
Just need a new one to appoint, so We will win more points,
I will survive, I will survive"

I feel Ed gets too much stick, and the blame should lay soley atvthe feet of the Glazers and any other board member making decisions to put people in place who can't excel at the role fully.

In terms of generating income for the club, Ed has been remarkable and constantly set records with sponsors and the type, but in terms of footballing IQ, he isnt upto it, and the more this carries on, the more it harms the club and just as important, harms peoples lives, causw I have no doubt that the staff at the club givebthe absolute all, but just maybe, the owners dont know how to recruit staff ln the footballing side of things.

He said our objective must be playing attacking football. So why did we hire Jose to be our manager then? It seems that we know what our structure is but the people don’t know how to run it.

I don't get this briefing by Woodward at all. Fighting talk but surely this will come back to bite him cuz there is no guarantee of Ole surviving even the Liverpool game. What happens if we are tonked 3-0? Or if we cont to lose and are in relegation zone?

Why this bravado when we are in such shit position?

Nobody is saying he's doing a Stella job, far from it, I just don't think any of his predecessors would have much better if at all than him without having SAF doing his magic on the playing side. He's just too easy a target.
SAF had retired, some one them need to grow a pair and step up, don't you think?

Fans can cry about Ashley Young, Smalling, Phil Jones and the likes all they want but at the end of the day, it's Woodward who has allowed & rewarded mediocrity for so long. He's the reasonable target.

Someone actually needs to fight him, he talks so much shyt.
Ask the girl who looks like Herrera to walk around his house carrying Ole out poster. Haunt him. First thing He'd see in the morning and last before He goes to bed. He failed to retain Herrera and his chosen one is failing.

Ed is in charge of the football club. His poor decisions are what have brought us down.

We seem to be getting to him. Good, he needs to realise what he's done to our club.

We must play attacking football - hires lvg and mourinho

We must play youth - after 5 years of embarrassing failed overpaid marquee signings

What are you talking about, the one person on the planet that can guarantee Ole stays in he job whatever the result is against Liverpool is Ed Woodward.

It's not Ed's job to tell Manager 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 that player c, g, k, p and v aren't good enough, it's to support the Managers and make as much money available for incoming transfers/new contracts as he can, and he's done a bloody job of that, he's a Managers dream.

So happy seeing these briefings he's giving out. Shows that fans are getting to him. Good. If players and managers are getting rid of for failing, he also needs to go!

exactly, it aint a one person problem, the curse uas seeped deep into the club and has been festering for a while. Until the Glazers are displaced or change their motives fast, all they will ever do is look after themselves financially and make sure the club has enough about it, that it looks like they are putting in work.
Which is obviously working when Ed, Ole, Recruitment are all getting stick, but the problem lies not with them, but the people in charge of stability and hiring throughout the club.

When will they ever learn?

I guess this is his first step to resignation. He have nothing to gain with defending himself when we’re losing games left right and center. Have both of them lost it?

So who was the manager who decided to give Phil Jones a new contract? Jose had already left, ole was a care taker and a care taker manager never makes those sort of decisions.

He is a manager's nightmare. Everytime a manager goes to him with list of players, he rarely delivers them their first choice. Managers always dream of working with their 4-5 choice players. After all who wants kroos when you can have fellaini. Even if you discount moyes and his fifa expectations, lvg and Mourinho are seasoned managers, they won't go around handing him impossible targets, yet even they didn't get first choice players. Some dream this.

Been dropping hints about his personality type for quite some time now. Make note of his use of a rather Trumpian tactic here.

Fans: Woodward's transfer oversight sucks.
Woodward: Omg omg how dare you insult the fine men and women of our transfer service!

It's certainly nothing personal. If he feels his family is being effected by this, he should either leave or actually employ proper football people. However, as each day goes by and he doesn't change, his position becomes more and more untenable. For his own sake, he should leave.

WE should keep calling him out.

Awww thats cute , hiding behind some made up brilliant footballing people, they did great such a great job too, guess managerial appointments are not on him either. You have to love those corporate PR spins and their customers eating this shit up.
