I was reading in the Guardian gossip section today that AC Milan are considering selling him because they're in financial trouble. There was some hype about him a couple of years ago, not heard much since. He's 22 and a defensive midfielder i think.

Anyone seen him play often? Think he'd be a good option for us?

Whoever I bet on
I find him extremely frustrating to watch.

He has both the phisique and technique but his decision making... Good God...

Mind you, he is young and could improve in that regard.

''I like the Premier League and in particular Manchester United - a team I dream of playing in. Chelsea is also a great club, no one would refuse it, but I dream of United.''

Smart lad.

When he's good he's really good, when he's not he's very poor. Hasn't really developed over the last few years, but he's still learning his trade in midfield. We need a more developed player for our midfield.

Good option to have, he needs to step up though he's definately not a midfielder who controls the midfield but he has good energy about him. A lazy but realistic comparison would be a potential matuidi as he's young but impressed particularly at atalanta

I think he'd be pretty good in the premier league. I know it's a cliche but he's mobile from both boxes and can pass and score the odd goal so seems a good fit for this league.

Not sure why it hasn't worked out at Milan but he was great at Atalanta.

Anyway Wolves were linked to him in the summer and seems they're still interested in January window so that seems to be likely place he'll end up.

If AC Milan are willing to sell he must be naff. It takes something to not be good enough for them.
He's not, just another who's got bogged down in chaos of AC Milan.

He played 29 times for Atalanta last season scoring six goals to help them finish fourth in Serie A.

He played very well for Atalanta in 16-17 so I think dropping down a bit to mid table club might fire up his career again, surprised someone like Everton aren't looking at him.

Still young enough to improve, people surely saw this from how De Bruyne and Salah struggled with big moves early on in their career? Even Memphis.

I remember him for Atalanta. Someone said Wolves fancy him. Will have to see if they get involved in January. United will be linked to every Tom, Dick and Harry until January.

A Matic replacement/CDM is right up there with our top priorities, or should be, but I can't see it being Kessie. I have a horrible feeling we'll spend the majority of our summer budget on Rice or Longstaff.

He's...weird. I mean, he's quite obviously a good player, and yet he doesn't look good enough for milan...

I dunno. Might be milan's the problem. His decision making is erratic and for a player as attacking as he is, he really should be far more of a goal threat...instead opponents are usually comfortable giving him the Moussa Sissoko treatment in front of goal and with good reason...

So there is Kessie, Zakaria, and Can, available, with others also. Any would be an improvement on Fred , Pereira, or Matic. but we will be told that there is no one available in January.
