If you think Joe Cole had nothing behind him for the hype he got, then you need to take off Spurs glasses.

Re bold part, all I can say is
Thats how I see it - lots of big ego's with a media bigging them up thinking they were superstars. Wilshere is one of the worst offenders of that kind of thing out there and England are a much better team without him or the likes of Hart who is another one.

It has nothing to do with Wilshere or Hart, ffs you are like English media, looking for scapegoats.

England are playing well as for the first time they are playing as a team and looks defensively good and also team is full of high energy. Nothing to do with Wilshere or Hart.

It's everything to do with those types of players not being near the squad - that is my point. I'm in danger of derailing the topic a bit so I'll leave it at that.

Blaming Wilshere shows your Spurs bias and your hatred for him for saying Spurs are shit.

He was good for England when he played, he won 7 man of the match awards in a row for England or 6 in 7, that shows how well he played for England. It's just that he is always injured or didn't play in a team that worked so hard.

Perfect transfer for him. He wouldn't cope outside the M25 and not good enough for the big teams.
He should have pushed himself, maybe gone abroad. I’ve always rated him but he’s stagnated and I don’t see that changing at West Ham. At the end of the day it’s his career and his life and if he wants to stay close to home in a relative comfort zone then that’s his choice.

An Italian guy living in Manchester.
I see Jacky has stated he wants to get West Ham “Back to where they belong.” Can someone tell me exactly where that is ? They have finished 7th once in the last 16 years and haven’t finished higher than that for 45 years. They have only finished in the top 4 once in their entire history Cockney *rseholes at their finest.

Hopefully relegated.

As I've said in another thread, glad he's joined them, yet another reason to dislike this shitty club.

West are making a strong team. This season feels different from their usual failed pursued of big money targets. Yarmolenko, Wilshere and Anderson(if they can get that over the line) are solid buys. They'll trouble the top six, thats for sure.

No chance. The current top 4, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton will finish higher.

Are we not getting him then? - :(

How incredibly disappointing.

He'll absolutely love West Ham in about 6 months time (fitness permitting).

OK< thats interesting, without bothering to check, ( probably like many others ) I thought they had more success back in the days of Bobby Moore and Brooking,

Playing attractive football and winning an occasional cup, I presume. Sounds reasonable.

Anyone think he could have done a job as a sub? Especially when Croatia started pressing the Eng midfield?

He hasn't been let go. He was told honestly what his future was so decided to move.
If his issue was the amount of game time he would get next season, then Arsenal need to realise that to win the Europa League and both Domestic Cups (their best chance to win silverware next season, as well as get back into the CL of course) alongside playing an entire Premier League season. They will have to play a grand total of 65 games next season.

Thus since you cannot play the same 2 CM/CAMs in every single game (especially Ozil), it means that the Arsenal are going to need to have a total of at least 4 CM/CAMs within their squad. Long story short this would mean that so long he is fit enough, he can play at least 33 games next season and perhaps more depending on injuries/absenses/form of Ramsey, Ozil and Mkhitaryan.

So with the loss of Wilshire, unless they do sign another CM/CAM who is better than Wilshire. They are going to have to gamble to in the forms of Ramsey, Ozil and Mkhitaryan (and maybe Xhaka) when it comes to the CM positions in the lineup.

Arsenal would be cnuts to block that
That was not what I was advocating, besides it would be impossible for them to do so anyway thanks to the Bosman ruling. What I was saying is that Arsenal should have offered a better deal (as well as the Captains Armband) to Wilshire to persude him to stay, especially when there are (as I have said earlier in this post) plenty of games which he can play him in.

I certainly think he could have done.
