Zlatan is so ruthless. :D I bet Lukaku felt like an amateur player when watching Ibra in training.

Even the "joking aside" part sounds like a bit of a dig:

Joking aside, Lukaku has this mad hunger to prove himself to the world

Zlatan had always been an ahole. He used to have arguments with Allegri because the players at Milan weren't as good as he was.

Am I mad for not remembering a time these two played together?
Zlatan was around in Lukaku's first season but was rehabilitating from the ACL injury. He left by the second half of the season.

Didn't Zlatan play at United from 2016-17 and Lukaku came when Zlatan left?
I checked — they both played at the club in 2017. Obviously Zlatan was recovering from his injury towards the beginning of that but I don't remember them playing together at any point. Then again, they both played in the same position so it probably didn't happen very often.

That’s a load of shit

Title deliberately ignores that zlatan then goes on to say that Lukaku has an incredible desire to improve

They did played together. We tested Zlatan in number 10 position behind Lukaku and it didn't work.

Zlatan and Lukaku in the same one touch drills would be an absolute hoot to watch.

Like pairing a pianist with a 6 year old holding a tambourine

We went from 6th to Ibrahimovic up top, to 2nd with Lukaku up top.

People can say what they say about Rom, and I'm not even a massive fan, but he's a proven goalscorer.

Yep, Rom was genuinely good in Jose's first season. He only got really shit when Ole came in.
He went to shit when we started to play a 433, which meant he had to get involved in our build up play a lot more, and was slightly exposed because of his poor link up play. Obviously that was done to suit Pogba, but Rom has always been better with a 10 behind him and wingers to provide balls into the box for him.

Which, in fairness, is something Mourinho wanted to address via Perisic.

We won the Europa League and the League Cup with Zlatan upfront. We won nothing with Lukaku there.

Shows his winners mentality. He was right about the Milan players being shit. Zlatan wants to win.

Could use some of that mentality in the Manchester United squad.

Scholes and Ronaldo played with the likes of the Neville's, Oshea and Co. You don't see them ridiculing them

Yet Zlatan still scored more than him, so unsure what your point is here.

They barely shared the same pitch, to be fair. The longest they played together was the 1st half in a draw against Burnley, which was Zlatan's final game for us and the only game they started together.

Zlatan came on as a 2nd half sub in 4 other games for 10 or 15 mins.

Zlatan also started the game against Bristol City. Lukaku came on as a sub later, which there was a few minutes overlap.

We stopped testing the number 10 thing after that first half with Burnley, which was right anyway. He looked extremely slow and out of pace in this half.
