France are actually playing decent rugby, whereas Wales just keeping playing rubbish Warrenball. I can see France maybe even extending their lead... or completely imploding
Bold predicitions, at least you didn't cover all basis.

I think that might be debatable, it's getting easier to get yellows - with good reason too, as the game tries to eliminate neck/head hits.

By the way, I've been working predominantly with SA folks for the last 6 months and I started to fall into saying yahhh too :D
 ya just works so well...

This world cup has been a lot stricter about those tackles. I think it's still difficult to tell when there is a height disparity between players.

Wales have enough time to close this small gap, they just have to not make any mistakes.

That player who got the red card is going to feel like a right cnut(and rightfully so)

If I’m SA or Japan, I’m definitely fancying my chances against whoever wins this game.

Not seeing the forward ball is amazing.

France are an awfully frustrating team to support.

He should. Bloody idiot. France were so close to finishing us off and he gave us a chance. Even then it's taken 30 mins to get a try and I'm still expecting a France drop goal.

That looked forward to me. Then again after that silly red card, France deserve little.

Wales were crap, can't see them getting past Japan or SA playing anything like this

France shot themselves in the foot. The red card obviously, the drop goal that never came and the scrum without a number eight. Talk about brainless rugby.

Jonathan Davies was badly missed for Wales today, if he and Navidi are out next week I can’t see them making the final.

The French with Shaun Edwards on home soil in 4 years time could be their time.

Where’s VAR for a forward pass (offside) when you need it! I’ve expected much more from the Welsh coming into this tournament but I’ve been disappointed by them.

Vahaamahina will be lucky if his teammates don't kill him for that.

Gonna need to step it up big time in the semi final. We're capable of it but play like that again and we won't get a reprieve. Hopefully have Davies back for that and fingers crossed Wainwright is ok, no idea how he kept playing after that elbow let alone all the later injuries.

It's one player not France.
Perhaps. But doesn’t this kind of brain fart happen to France rather more often than other tier 1 teams? This wasn’t a high tackle in the heat/speed of the game. There needs to be a stronger focus on attitude and discipline in the French setup for this to stop happening.

Such a talented team. Wales were there for the taking and they dropped the ball.

France fired it away out of a cannon. Such an absurd way to ruin your world cup.

EDIT: As @JPRouve says, one player did. France actually played well and managed the situation well. A successful drop goal would have been enough.
True. There was some pretty poor kicking from Ntamack too. He converts those easy misses and the card wouldn't have made a difference.

But there is a difference between the team deserving something and a player penalising his team. If anything the 14 other players did very well for 30 minutes only conceding a contestable try.

Weird how that game mirrored 2011 but his time it was France who were better but had a red card and lost.

Irony

The rest of the team were magnificent. As poor as Wales were, France were fierce. Consistently better in rucks and were managing the red card so well til the debatable try.

They definitely should have tried a drop goal or two more though.

What a pulsating game that was! France were the better side and had the game in the palm of their hands. However same old, French story - throwing away a comfortable lead with indiscipline and poor decision making. The red card changed the complexion of that game and I don’t know what on Earth the French number 5 was doing at that maul! Wales score the winning converted try at the end from a French scrum. It may have gone forward but the camera angle the TMO was showing was hard to tell.

Now it’s time for the one I’ve been looking forward to all week and the pick of the ties - Japan vs South Africa

Massive miss for Wales today. Soon as i seen he was missing i knew they would struggle. They were so poor today. Didn't deserve to go though, but France gonna France

Feet up at home.
Nerves are shredded. How come France are so poor in the 6 nations? They were magnificent today we were very very lucky to get through that. Anyway come on Japan

Usually love watching Wales play but my god were they tumescent and lacking in imagination. England and Wales seem to have switched places.

Absolute horrible generalisation here. Classic example of you reading a couple of troll Welsh comments and decide to blanket the whole nation with it. I’m an avid Scarlets fan, I meet many Blues, Ospreys and Dragons fans - we adore the Pro14.
Sorry if you feel it's a generalisation. It seems from 20 years of following Munster and 17 or 18 trips to Wales following Munster and Ireland, as well as yes, years and years of engaging with Welsh fans online.

I have met decent Welsh fans like yourself over the years - I'm not suggesting there are none. It's just that in my experience they are in the minority. It's great that you love the Pro 14 but Welsh attendance and viewing figures for the competition show that once again, yours is not the norm here.

France aren't poor in the 6 nations. Unless if you are only talking about the last years, in that case it's mainly due to a poorer generation but the kids are currently pretty good.

Vahaamahina should never play for France again. It's not like it's the first time with him and he's completely let down the other warriors who stepped up and deserved to win that match for France today.

Wales squeak through but they'll be better in the semi final and that will be an absolute war if as expected, South Africa progress.

I suspect Japan might still squeak through here though.
