Same as last week, absolute bottle job on Saturday night. Went from 17-3 or 4 to 17-7. Finished on 20 wins with 2 games remaining. Elite first week, 2 identical bottle jobs the after.

I played Saturday day and went from 7-3 to 17-3 with a 352 team. After speaking to people in a chat Im in, I decided to witch my full team and go 41212..... my own fault.

Reverted back to 4231 last night to finish my games and I played very well

Can somebody tell me how the chemistry links work with the ICONS?

I've done all but one of the swaps but I don't know who I'm aiming for as I don't want to go for somebody like Carlos if he doesn't link with the rest of my team.

Any advice?

They all have a soft link with everyone, but if the nations match up then they get a full link.

Ended with 11 wins from 22 games. Felt like I had more free time than usual this weekend and with grinding over half of those out on Friday, still didn't manage to finish... Whatever was good enough for the icon swap and for silver 1.
Now just gotta try and get all the scream Dzeko objectives this week. Only have the online survival mode one so far.

Trying out that Otamendi scream card. Don’t mind short CB’s and from what I’ve heard he’s very good!

I like his normal card though hes definitely not meta. But 5* weak foot and great finishing and good movement gets him loads of goals. Can imagine the scream version being beastly.

Theres 12 you can get now, and there will be 12 after these expire for a total of 24 to be used during this "season". Can't use them for future icon swaps either, so you have to use all 24 (or however many you want) in the same season.

I have 7 swap players earned now but might not have time to get more, I’m aiming for Carlos but will the icons change or will they remain in the next batch.

Thanks! Might try get him. Just seen Agueros card today, didn't pay attention when they were released.... Ill be getting him before next weekend league hopefully

Meant to say definitely NOT meta Haha. But I do like using big guys occasionally. Makes you play a different way which is nice and makes me not get bored of either team since I rotate between 2.

Packed red Kane last week. I used him for objectives. He is a big lump with great shielding (LT or L2) and a class finisher. Like turning a boat though so depends what you like

Yeah. 5 goals in 3 (including a header!!) but overall brings alot with his pace and strength.

Also found his passing to be good aswell.

For a free player who will get boosts throughout the year, definetly must do.

They don't this year mate, the boost they already have is permanent.

I was initially tempted but I'm not keen on dropping 150k on an untradeable that I can't fit into my team from the start.

Just slightly overpriced and with his relatively low agility and balance I think he might be clunky. I've had my success with player with high dribbling stats like Lucas and Walcott etc.so I think I'm gonna pass.

The legends will remain the same next season but they'll release 12 more challenges to make up the full 24 so people have a chance of getting Drogba etc. I think they'll repeat in season 3 and 4 for another batch of legends, but you won't be able to use your current swap players for those. So you have a good bit of time to get more tokens or use them up

For one, he's using all this to his advantage. (And rightly so)
He's currently the most viewed Fifa player on Twitch right now, so this is working for him.

He mentioned 2 or 3 times how he's a top 100 player, how he beat Agit and would beat him again.
He mentioned Jukez winning Fatal (I've no idea what that is) and laughing as if it's a pathetic win.

At the end of the day, this is a business for a lot of these players and how they make a living. They'll take advantage of whatever they can. (Just like he's doing now)
When I used to play WL, if I could somehow choose to play lesser players, I would.

He almost tries to make out he's better than all these players, yet bitching because they want to play him.
It's a shitty thing to do, avoiding players, of course, yet they're trying to play him, a very very good player, so they're risking their potential 30-0.

The only thing he’s right about is the competitive scene is a joke. Servers and the pay to win aspects. Not forgetting the dodging going around. I mean Castro is hitting 30s with his God squad. There’s no other game with a competitor mode where you need to pay to be competing.

Pro clubs should be the competitive mode but obviously that mode doesn’t make EA money so they won’t bother with that.

I actually love UT (Not playing Fifa at all this year)
It's just such a shame it's a money spinning game mode and nothing else to Fifa.

Gameplay is different (For the worse) and like you say, it ends up being pay to win.... Castro and Bateson both dropping 10k on day one :lol:
Have god squads and then just win matches.

For the people like us, who throw a little money on it, but thats about it, the game ends up feeling a grind rather than fun.

Good call. I was thinking the same thing. There’s a lot to like about the Hulk card; however, as you alluded to, it’s unlikely to ever be anything more than a bench option. Would be pretty fun to try, mind you. The kind of card you could have a lot of fun with if he popped up in Draft.

As an aside, unlocked Dzeko this evening. Not sure when I’ll ever use him, but it’s a nice card to have in the club. Getting him also means I can banish Mandzukic back to the shadows and bring Drogba back in :drool:

Also just type jukez name on Twitter and you gotta feel sorry for the guy. He is being hammered left and right. Don’t think he deserves that it’s not like he’s literally hurt somebody.

I’m more of a clubs man. It’s my favourite mode. UT is something I’d play on the side. Where as clubs I been playing since Fifa 09 when you could play with real players. Even though it’s been neglected a lot, I still enjoy it.

I just wish they let you play Volta with friends as that modes dead.

He's made a mistake and got exposed. It's not good, but it's also not something terrible :lol:
Ya know, for all we know, this RunTheFUTMarket could be using an auto buyer behind the scenes, yet would act all innocent as if he's just a top trader. We don't know, but I'm watching him now and he's just talking about his opinion of card prices, but not actually trading.... (He could also be using his 'opinions' to influence the market in his favour, something youtubers have been doing for years)

Midfield Blanc is the best defender I’ve used this year by a mile. Stupidly good, got him next to VVD and makes VVD look like a bronze.

I start with a 4-5-1 of
Ter Stegen

Zambrotta - Lenglet - VVD - Roberto Carlos


Messi - griez- Kante - Blanc - Neymar

del Piero.

Then in game I switch to 3-5-2 with Blanc dropping back and full backs playing as RM and LM, Messi Cam and Neymar up top.


Think he was around 750k, was worth it compared to VVD (who seems to be a beast against me but average for me). On a side note, had no idea Blanc was 6’4.

That team is insane man! My team is pretty stacked at the minute, but envy that. ADP and Neymar ST? Smart move with both 5 star weak foot.

Pumped in more cash that I should have :lol: Yeah both up top, ADP left foot is better than most players strong foot, first time I've used him in any FIFA I think, seems great but only used him for 10 games or so I think.
