Levitt not started well. Bad pass then committed too much to a lost cause which allowed Swansea open space to drive towards United and get a shot off.

Good start for Laird though

Mengi not had a good start to the game - one awful mistake early on, and a fairly weak shot touched him and went past the keeper.

1-1 Ramazani freekick. Gets it into the bottom corner - and the keeper should have saved it.

Mellor with a big miss - Levitt with a supercross and Mellors header from 5 yards is saved.

Good work from Puigmal and Levitt. Puigmal in the buildup, and Levitt to create the chance with a great cross.

No Gomes, Chong, Greenwood, Williams or Garner.

Our U23s got relegated last year.. Is the new batch really good or is there a huge drop off in quality?

Wasn't it considered a huge coup when we signed him?

What happened?

The stuff about Traore is just crap

Refused to do anything but run in straight lines when he gets the ball. He's physical with nothing else with no work ethic at all except when he gets the ball.

Except it isn't. He's consistently one of the worst players on the pitch and his last performance should have seen him never wearing the shirt again. He's an embarrassment.

Except it is. He has improved a lot this season - and has been good today.

So I imagine you were impressed with him last time out?

He hasn't improved at all. He physically outmuscles and powers a shot once every 10 games. While doing nothing the rest of the time and refusing to do his job. He was even called anonymous by Weber.

You consistently excuse his shit performances though so no surprises.

Consistently excusing his shit performances ? I don't think I have ever said anything particularly nice about Traore prior to tonight.

I certainly wasn't singing Traore's praise last season, when my opinion of him certainly wasn't that great. But to call a player a lazy shit is just stupid. Especially when you practically consider every other player in the team good or great. But unlike you - I believe he has improved. His work-ethics is much better - and he actually has an end-product now.

Today - Traore fixed a penalty after a strong run. He scored a goal all by himself, and nearly set-up another goal with a skill that certainly wasn't just physically outmuscling his opponents. Do I Believe he will go as far as Levitt and Garner to name a couple of midfielders ? Nope - but there is a huge difference between being great and being a lazy shit. As for being anonymous ? if Danny Webber feels creating a penalty and scoring a goal like Traore did today is anonymous - let's hope more of our players are anonymous in the future.

If you follow the youth forums much one thing you will quickly notice is the extreme degree to which @limerickcitykid does not rate Aliou Traore!
And that is his right. Last season I would even have agreed with him. I think he has improved a lot - Limerick doesn't! Fair enough.

Reece Devine continues to impress, I said a few months ago i'd to see(l-r)Devine - Mengi - Laird - Williams get a run of games together, it would be harsh on Bernard but Teden is a better defender and you'd need that with the kamikaze twins bombing down the wings.
