A lot us being made if his performance and rightly so, but we mustn't overlook that the formation actually played to his strengths and allowed him to play in his correct position. Hopefully Ole takes note of this, cause shoving him back out in the right against Norwich will just revert him to how he's been playing recently. I think Gomez would relish playing that same role too

Pereira is not ideal, but he is the best we have at no. 10. Hope Ole gives him a chance.
But we need to find a way to attack and win games, Pereira at the 10 would be a small step in the right direction, but we are more then one step away of forming a good team (PL places 5-8)!
You just know as soon as Lingard is fit he will throw him in there again, despite him being absolute appalling.

It is almost december... the Jlingz month! If Ole wont put Lingard in during december when is Lingard ever going to score?

I think Pereira shouldnt be a starter but because his competition is Mata and Lingard, i guess he is the best option. Pereira makes the wrong choices but atleast tries stuff eventhough it mostly wont work out. Periera is also the youngest so i suppose he has to most chance to improve the bad parts of his game.

His transitional play was really good when he plays centrally. Getting better as always

Had some very nice touches in the 1st half I thought, but yeah faded a bit in the 2nd. Team in general did I feel.

Good performance. He's getting better, and an obvious upgrade to Mata and Lingard.

Pleased with him recently and good to see him on corner taking duty. Don’t give them back to Young please Ole.

Faded 2nd half but very good 1st. He's shown recently that there might be a good player in there after all.

Dropped a bit in the 2nd half (as did the whole team in fairness) but thought he was really good first half. Very good at picking the ball up in tight spaces, committing players and then dribbling his way out then releasing. Did that a few times in the first half and it always ended up in a dangerous attack. Dangerous corners throughout the game as well. Needs to be on free kicks imo.

Fairly obvious to anyone with eyes he's the best option at 10 at the minute. Whether he's the long term choice there is a different story but he's the best we've got right now. Hopefully he's not moved out to the right any time soon.

His best game of the season. Took a while that we finally take away Young from the corner duty and give it to this guy instead.

In and out of the match. Works himself into the ground and shows some technical qualities now and then.
Bench and squad player at best if we buy upgrades, which isn't a bad role to have.

I like him.

Sometimes he drifts to the right, sometimes on the left, seems like he is finding his confidence.

Once he has Martial to pass, his overall play is better.

Was good in the first half but faded away and should have been subbed off earlier. I think he is improving game by game and is by far the best option if we are to play a number 10.

Our 3 best performances of the season (Chelsea, Liverpool, and today) have come with him at 10. I don't remember enough from the Chelsea game but today and v Liverpool, he was effective at showing for the ball, holding it, and moving it on (sometimes with decent skill). Not much direct crreativity but it helps the team build attacks. Still think he should be replaced by Pogba in the advanced position when he gets fit, with Garner or someone else partnering McTominay.
He's a good backup #10 or emergency option at right-wing (just for his crosses), and maybe he could be a backup deep playmaker too.

Hopefully will pick up freekick duties from Rashford soon. I don't understand why it took this long to get corner duties from Young.

Plays an important role in how we want to play it seems, he's still learning the role but is getting better and played well today.

We all love United
He's a cert in our starting XI this season until we find a better one at number ten. Keep him in the team, who knows he may improve loads

The difference the simple things make is obvious to see. He did not do anything extraordinary, but the fact that he has a good touch and does not lose the ball because of it, has some good strength and the ability to go past a player and keep the attacking play instead of just passing it back is a big help in our game.

Now imagine if we can get a top player in that position.

Looked comfortable today and I guess it helped that he had pace on the wings.

Showed some nice turns and cute passes. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Tbf, he is only 23 and he works his socks off and puts in a shift every time he plays. Also, is not injury prone, so hopefully should improve.

He has this tenacity and skill like Brazilians have. There were a couple of beautiful turns that showed that he has skill. He just has to be given more chances at number 10. To be fair to him, this is his first senior regular season with United. We have given players like young, jones more than enough time, we can afford to give this lad some time too.

I would be very keen to hear from some of our away fans who were at the game today, surely we have some on the forum? I thought he played very intelligently, and would love to know what his off the ball contribution looked like from the stands.

I'm not sure whether or not he can become a mainstay in our team for the next few years, but he has a strange knack of making difficult things look really easy, and vice versa, so somewhere in between is a hugely effective attacking midfield player.

He's improving week on week, definitely plays best when central.

Hope he gets an extended run as a number 10, he was very good in the first half. Some great close control and distribution.

I like that he has a mean streak in him and he works hard every game. Should continue to be a regular starter this season even when Pogba returns. With that said who else can even play in his position? It’s not like we have much to choose from

Is he good enough long term? I’m not convinced yet, but a squad player at least and at a relative young age of 23 he has room to grow. Keep up Andreas!

He's far better option than Mata and Lingard at 10. But should be replaced by Pogba in the role when he is back fit.

Best number 10 performance we've had this season. And by a mile
He’s looking like basically our only option there, especially considering the form of Mata and Lingard. His progress hasn’t been fast but it’s been steady.

Good for him that he turned in a solid performance. His work ethic has been good for a long time, his technique is sound, it’s his overview, timing and decision making that’s been my main concern. That can improve, albeit slowly. Hopefully, this no 10 performance was a sign of that.
