God, I really want him to succeed. I am crying for Ole to be our next 20 years-manager. I want someone like him, born from SAF, to be the next one.

I am ready to wait for this to happen.

Come on, Ole. Come on!

Objective number one was always to get this team working hard and putting in a proper shift. It’s night and day compared to previously.

I'm loving this performance. Not criticisms there - this is SAF style aggression and attacking football. However, its clear as fecking day our squad is top 4 material. So its incredible that we've been as bad as we were the last few months - thats on our manager.

I fully believe a better, more competent leader could have us where bloody Leicester are.

Signs have been there recently. We are getting it together and performances and results are getting better .

Ole is clearly doing something right he has a long term plan his signings have been good and the players are starting to respond to how he wants them to play .

I will take this football over Allegri every day of the week

If Jose was still here he would be credited with Fred’s improvement.

Ole has improved Fred by showing confidence and building him up.

If McSauce and Fred keep this up, it will free up Pogba when he’s back to play even as a 10.

Things could be looking up.

Credit to Ole...the improvement is clear to see.

He has us in mid table with our worst start in years, nearer relegation than top 4, awful boring performance with lack of goals, got Cardiff relegated, got sacked by Cardiff in the Championship.

Apart from that we’re very lucky to have such an outstanding manager
I think it is worth pointing out that we're no long mid-table.

Well that was great. Most entertaining match this season so far. Great performance and our attacking players were on fire second half.

Finally an upcoming international break that won't feel like shite.

Hopefully we build on this and doesn't turn out to be another false down.

Not as often as we'd like but some of the best football we've seen since SAF has been under Ole. We're gatting better and better.

It is so frustrating when we perform poorly but there are definitely signs of a good team coming together.

Over the last month there have been signs that sticking with him might lead us somewhere.

Wouldn't say we had a great match, more like great 30 mins or so. It was a typical toothless performance up until we scored the 3rd. But can't complain, 3 points, move on.

Only 5 wins in 6. Scored 12 goals in the last 6 games...

Of course we aren't improving! And I assume bringing out those win-stats aren't as fun when he is actually starting to win a lot of games again

I’m as pessimistic as they come but you have to go with the flow and say if it weren’t for that Bournemouth game, these would be promising times.

Brighton and Partiazan. Glad he got 6 points from these juggernaut of football. But, might be a false dawn. I was so confident in a victory today that I captained a united player in my fantasy team. So I m not that impressed by the victory today. Even Mourinho at his worst had good moments.

But you are complaining? We played well, great in periods, from first whistle to last.
Every other team plays like their best match of the day highlights for 90 minutes. Especially current favourites Rodgers and Lampard.

Best performance of the season but the last two teams we've played have just walked into counter attacking traps.

International break came at a great time for Ole last time around and now it's come at a bad time

I asked a question. We’ve been decent at home and absolutely crap in the road. Nothing clear as day yet.
There has been clear progression within the team since Liverpool last month.

1. The team is more focused on attacking rather than containment, which was the case earlier in the season and under Jose before that.

2. Fred and Mctominay have developed a fine partnership in the midfield area.

3. Rashford, Martial and James are beginning to understand one another.

4. Williams has burst onto the scene and looks like a real find.

5. We're churning out chances at a fairly decent rate.

6. We're winning games and looking comfortable whilst doing so.

We have improved everywhere.

Manchester United since SAF left have struggled to create chances. Whether that was personal or coaching it’s been a problem for a while. The changing of managers with polar opposite philosophies hasn’t exactly helped this.

I don’t know if Ole will be a success here but since he’s been here our fitness levels look better and we’re trying to play more expansively. Sure there have been games I want to pull my hair out but as LvG said it’s a process. Bournemouth aside we have looked a lot better lately with players looking like the penny is starting to drop

such a frustrating game. But.. with the squad we’ve got and the age of our attacking players... we will have games like that. What is becoming increasingly apparent is that certain players don’t add to this United style of football. They’ve either gone (Sanchez, Lukaku) or being phased out (Mata, Matic)

You can clearly see we are talented though. Add in Pogba and someone else to take Fred‘s place as a regular and we might have something good growing here.

We are most certainly improving very slightly and it's all down to Ole.

Ole persisted with Fred even when half of Utd fans wanted him to disappear, and now Fred has found form. Mourinho would have persisted with Matic no matter how awful he continued to be.

Ole giving a chance to Brandon Williams has been a masterstroke. He'd never have gotten a chance under Jose.

Ole through tinkering, has managed to find a position to get the best out of Pereira, who will probably never be good enough long-term but who has become a very important squad player.

Add that to the fact that Ole's only 3 signings are among the first 3 names on the team sheet, and it's clear to see there are positives.

We're probably only a Zaha and a Kalvin Phillips away from being a top 4 team again. If we can replace Pogba with Maddison in the summer too, then we should become a feared team again soon.

No, because it takes time. How hard is it to get that? He has made players better during the season, like it or not.

It is never good enough if his name is Solskjaer, isn't it?

Respect to him for trimming the squad, I can actually do reasonably well on our lineup prediction league now.

You could say that about any team that chooses to attack us, though.

The most important thing for me is that we are now showing more penetration in our build-up play. We look like a genuinely well-coached attacking outfit right now.

I didn't think Fred would come good, but clearly they see something in him that I did not. Tactically everyone excelled in their roles today, which is credit to the coaching.

He had us looking like relegation fodder for about 20 games...

When the likes of Pogba, Martial and Shaw are playing every week, it is. But not when we’re relying on Pereira and Lingard for goals and assists and playing Young at left back.

Our current position in the league largely reflects the availability of players we’ve had this season.

It is no coincidence that results have improved since the return of Martial. When Pogba returns, we’ll start to create more, too.

When Pogba returns, Ole has to play Pogba in the more advanced midfield role.

It will improve the midfield enormously.

That’s 5 wins in the last 6 now if I’m not mistaken which is a welcome change in form. There were a couple of easy fixtures in there but a decent run nevertheless.

Sheffield United away will be really tough but presents the opportunity to go up another position in the league. Then a couple of home games to hopefully strengthen our position in the league before we go to City.

Come on Ole!

Agreed our attack patterns look a LOT better and that must be the coaching finally coming right. But the reason i still feel a bit cautious is that we saw against Chelsea on the opening day that there's no debate to be had; if you try and attack and dominate we'll win the ball back and slaughter just about any team on the counter. If a team sits in against us and decide to pick us off and play us at our own game that's when we really struggle. The space we had today was huge at times.

Biggest thing i'm taking from this season is that 'possession=dominance' and 'winning the midfield battle wins you the game' are seriously overrated cliches nowadays. Leicester dominated the ball against us but I felt they didn't deserve anything against us earlier in the season. Brighton had 57% possession today but did bugger all with it. Similarly people at the start of the season said we deserved to win against Wolves and Palace and we did feck all for most of those games despite having all the ball.

Agree. I wouldn't shift Scott or Fred to make way for Pogba just because of the system we play. Not having a go at Pogba as it's just a different playing style but he wouldn't have done half as much as either of those today. I hope Ole plays him as the most advanced midfielder/number 10 or not at all.

What a heist we got for James! Hopefully this few games gives Ed the confidence to back Ole in upcoming transfer market. And hopefully we fixed Fred as well so we only have to worry about #10 and some squad depth.
