Unused sub. What's the story this season, Marco Silva being stubborn or has Kean been that bad? @SilentWitness
Earlier this year when questioned about it he said that when he plays better in training he would get a chance. He did and snatched at chances quite a bit and hasn't looked as good as we all thought he would so far. Silva also is the type of guy that if his team plays well one week he won't make changes to it and just play the same team and system again despite who he is playing. Other players have just played better than him.

Hard to judge him when Everton have been so poor, I dont get what everton are expecting from this manager, his track record is bang average throughout his whole career.

Thanks, suppose it is still early days. Some young players take a while to settle in new leagues while others get firing straight away.

He must be struggling to settle I'd imagine, young lad living away from Italy for first time.

He was starting games for Juve last season so not getting many starts for Everton suggests he's struggling off the pitch.

He is immature as a boy, which can be excused given his difficult past, and raw as a striker, which is why juve could not guarantee him time on the pitch... add his agent being Raiola to this recipe and you have the perfect 2019 flop.

Was never going to be as good as some made out. What had he actually done to justify the hype and money?

Everton needed a better guarantee of goals. Proven.

So much for the transfer being a 'coup' by Everton. He's done nothing of note yet for them.

Kean Sr: "Return to Italy my son"

"Going to the Premier was a mistake. I send a message to my son: he returns to Italy to play, you will become a great player, come and play at the #ASRoma, alongside your friend #Zaniolo. Don't think about money, but your career"

9 appearances 0 Goals.

His father wants him to return to Italy, where Juve owe him 2 tractors

He also mentions Raiola as a cnut but we already knew that.

Oh geez, young player struggling in the premier league first season.

Everyone should know that Kean should be void of criticism until he is settled to life at Merseyside.

Buying him is always a risky potential, but that's what it is, he needs time.

Ya he’s only 19, very early days yet moving to a another country at that age.

Someone should tell his dad.

When a players family starts making public statements like this, I feel so sorry for the player involved.
Agree. it starting to get messy. Keane should be putting his head down and focusing on football but with these comments in the back of his mind it will be tougher

He's missed a couple of team meetings which isn't great and he needs to sort that out. I feel for him in that Silva isn't the best manager for him as he doesn't know where to play him i.e keeps putting him out wide when he's clearly a striker but being late to meetings needs to be addressed primarily before he can start thinking about football. Really hope he doesn't waste his talent. Age isn't an excuse either or the fact he has moved abroad. By 19 you should know that when you're getting paid big money you should be showing that person respect by not being late.

Harsh but if you're given instructions and then just jog around which I assume is the case then fair play. He's paid to do a job and if he doesn't want to put the effort in then he doesn't deserve to be on the pitch.

Horrendously managed. Feel for him. Absolutely no reason to sub him off in that situation.

Seemed harsh. He made a couple of fouls but one of them I thought was a great tackle that the ref got wrong. Don't know if that was the reason he was hooked, but otherwise he was doing okay.

Normally if a sub is subbed off, the manager puts an arm round them. Ferguson didn't even hold out for a handshake. Brutal.

It feels wrong to type it on this forum but... manager Ferguson is an idiot.

The jacket thing and that sub he made. Just a manager trying to get a moment in the spotlights. :houllier:

Terrible man management to do that & ignore him completely when he came off. Feel for him.
