Lottie Lion the librarian. Very feisty!

Her, Ryan-Mark and Thomas all add great value in fairness.

Thought Lottie had walked herself into deep trouble with her “My aim is not to get on with everybody” comment. Sugar looked utterly bemused

Definitely want to see Lottie & Ryan-Mark for the interviews but also that Thomas Skinner too! Him trying to entice his business plan of selling pillows (which comes across as if he is saying pillars) to Linda Plant will be hysterical!

Those tasks always make shit episodes I think because the winner always feels so arbitrary.

I can't really think of any logical reason why the team that won did, their idea wasn't particularly innovative (Thorpe Park have a backwards rollercoaster already) and their branding was amateurish. The space team one was ludicrous in its claims, but I thought at least a pretty coherent concept with a professional looking poster logo and pitch. You could tell from the edit that they were setting it up for a 'twist' win from about 15 minutes in, too.

The rivarly forming between Lottie and Thomas makes great viewing. I still haven't seen any clear strong favourite so far, the good candidates seem to have a very solid area of expertise but don't seem to have the broader skill set previous winners have had.

Iasha was the PM for the task where they got over 1m in sales, right? I mean I know she wasn't great then either, but how do you not mention that in the boardroom?!

It's the best defence she could've used and decided not to use it, bonkers

She probably did mention it but those boardroom scenes apparently take the entire day and we only end up seeing 5-10 minutes worth. It wouldn't have fit the narrative of her being the inevitable firing due to her being largely quiet, unable to defend herself and an ethnic minority.

He even said he would take past performance into account, she did do very little though I think it didn't help her cause that she was on the part of the team that had 2 really loud people. Lottie's face when Thomas wasnt taken back in

I think Lottie thinks Thomas is beneath her it would be funny to see her be made to be PM and have to manage Thomas "good managers have to deal with all sorts of people" and all that...

Didn't next week hint there is a shock? Cant remember what he said but it implies there's a shock? Maybe someone who's on the winning team is so awful they go has that happened before? Remember that episode a couple of series back where he got rid of all 3 and they had to phone and say no one is coming back

Maybe Sugar's going to fire a white person?

So what was this apparent “shock” that was teased last week? Looked like a standard Apprentice episode to me.

Dean’s face & mood when he found out he’d won. It’s as if he was gutted his team won  Jeez, you’ve been given a further lifeline! If he’d lost, no question he was as good as fired.

I don't see how his team won. At the very least Empower had an idea to build from which was to promote Finland as an LGBT friendly country. The advertising was too heavily skewed toward the LGBT side without revealing enough about Finland but in fairness what exactly is there to market about the place, trees? Whereas Unison opted for the 'backpacker' market and there was nothing adventurous or exploratory about any aspect of the marketing, utterly bland with zero inspiration. Neither campaign was a stand-out but at the very least Empower had a USP, the theme was consistent and with a few tweaks there's a decent product there, Unison won because they 'stuck to the briefing' by having a Finnish flag in some of their shots.

It seems as though he based his decision purely on who he wanted to get rid of more: Dean or Jemelin.

I was waiting for the massive "shock" I thought he'd pull Dean back and fire him for failing to do anything in the project manager role especially as he was put into it after being poor last week he was out of his depth and it kept focussing on him too

I think the woman who couldn't even get the wording of LGBT right should have gone also she got lucky the other week that her team won surely you should be able to pronounce the initials of your main audience! When they said it focussed too much on the festival just say the festival looks so much fun itll make people want to go, thus bringing them to Finland.

Ryan Mark potentially managing next week Please give him both Lottie and Thomas to manage :lol:

How is Dean still alive in this? Completely clueless.

Thomas has some skills but I absolutely could not work with him.

Its very difficult to pick out any stand out candidate so far. I thought the blonde American woman was decent but even she was terrible yesterday.

7 weeks in and I’m still struggling to pick a candidate that could be a potential winner

All of them look terrible

Bored of this show now - which is a shame as it used to be a staple of mine. I find my attention drifting every episode now, and I'm still far from convinced that its not mostly scripted.

It's the worst season for a while, the contestants truly are awful.
I'm not sure, since I started watching this one with the missus she started wanting to watch the previous series of it. The contestants seem to be awful in the 2-3 series we've binged through.

Have you got any ideas?
Dean: What do you think?

Had be laughing at his flip flopping of their target audience last night.

Feel like it's been awful for a while now, has been car crash tv and not too dissimilar to what I imagine other Reality TV shows are like.

It's also pretty much whiter than the Klan now as well.

Watch it out of habit really. Despite what the producers might think, it would be a lot more interesting if the folk in it were actually smart entrepreneurs and had common sense. Would be interesting to see what they come up with on tasks. Instead, I feel like I could do better than both teams...on my own...in 30 minutes.

Despite the fact that we're a few weeks in, there's still some contestants whose names i still don't know.

The woman who got fired this week was terrible and deserved to go, but he should've also fired Dean (i think that's his name) who was the PM on the other team as he was awful. I know it's unprecedented to do so, but that team winning had feck all to do with him; they won despite having him on the team.

The show has been stale for a while now. I normally just have it on in the background, which may explain why i have no idea who some of these people are, but i think that has more to do with how bland and unimpressive they are as contestants.

Thomas stands out due to the fact that he's a complete caricature. Ditto for Ryan-Mark

I would sometimes give them the benefit of the doubt and put it down to the fact that they have a camera in their face and maybe it's edited in such a way that makes them look worse (which it is, of course), but some of them are so fecking dense.

It was either last week or the week before, there were 6 of them around a table questioning when WW2 started. They didn't have a clue. Now, one or two? Fine, whatever, put it down to ignorance (there's plenty of things I'm ignorant about), but the who table were looking at each other completely dumfounded.

Perhaps i would fall apart with the lights and camera in my face, but christ...

Had be laughing at his flip flopping of their target audience last night.
The target audience thing was brilliant! "We will go with backpackers", "Yes, I agree, the more mature marget is the way to go", "Well you are the expert in this field so we will go with backpackers"

Also how proud he was of a black background on the advertising, that nobody actually liked.

Dean is young and has no experience of managing a team as he's a very young cricket agent himself. He doesn't need to create content or brainstorm outside of the box and isn't capable of doing so.

Lewis did very well for the limited resources they have. Solid generic advert and presentation.

This is getting boring now, he's not a racist. Sure it's a bit odd but I don't think he would be stupid enough to do that.

I mean most of the firing were justifiable in that the candidates were rubbish, but Sir Alan is at least a bit racist. He has prior history, for instance his tweet about the Senegal football team last year.
