There’s definitely something dodgy going on! Every week it seems Oles having to come up with a different excuse! Interesting how this illness has ‘set him back quite a bit’ I.e until the start of January when he’ll be looking to move! All in my honest opinion and could quite easily be talking total bollocks!

The truth will come out the second he leaves. At the moment the club have to do everything to protect his value in a transfer fee.

He got a cold or the flu it is very much the season for it. Nothing here Ole said he would return to team training beginning of this week which he clearly isn´t going to do due to him having the flu.
For fecks sake there isn´t anything in this, injured then sick in December. The flu is seasonal in the UK from December to March.

We're flogging him in January and have had him wrapped in cotton wool for months. At least that's how it looks.

Hopefully the money is invested in a couple of midfielders and a winger.
Flogging him where? I see no stories linking him anywhere.

Madrid, presumably. Quite possible that we've told him and his fat slug of an agent that if they shut up for a change and stop leaking stories to the press, he'll get his move asap.

Exactly. There's nothing suspicious, at all.

Something's definitely amiss. I have never known an ankle injury to last this long unless it's broken or he required surgery (no mention of this).

He's only played 5 PL games this season and we're almost half the season in. It's excuse after excuse.

At some point you just have to question what he is offering us. His staunch followers will wax lyrical about his so called world class abilities but it's all pointless if he's not available for most of the season.

As I predicted in one of my earlier threads, I think the chances are he's a goner. Ole will keep coming out with positive statements as that's just the type of manager he is.

If he had a grade 2 tear, 2 months is about right.

Excuse after excuse, Alan Brazil said a moth ago he'd been told he'd played his last game for United and everyone laughed. I'm starting to believe its true which I've got no issue with as long as he is replaced.

I do believe that Paul has caight a flu, and it will take quite some time to recover from it. However, if we do sell him this January, I will then believe all the conspiracy theories floating around. My only hope is that if Pogba was to be sold, we then surely have identified and agreed with the players to be bought. We need more steel and quality in midfield and if that is to be achieved by selling a player who is not really eager to stay put, well, shit happens, reinvest the money properly and move on.

His ankle required surgery according to todays BBC article.

If he leaves in Jan, where does he rank in 'best' Manchester United players? For me, he's performed for us about the level of Nani. I don't particularly rate Nani, but he'd stroll into this squad.

Real Madrid will not have agreed a deal to sign the most expensive midfielder in the world from Manchester United without any media suggestion of it. It is an extremely far fetched theory, as is the entire ‘pretending to be injured’ thing in the first place. It’s clutching to the highest degree and just underscores the irrational dislike towards the player. There is no suggestion from the club, player or even media that this is the case, yet people who could not be further removed from affairs keep peddling this, something that is not common practise in football either.

His last game for us was 30th September against Arsenal. I just don't see the same level of motivation to get back into the squad/ training as with other players.
You probably wouldn’t see it from your bedroom.

Really hope he is gone, have no interest in seeing him back on our team. I just can’t forgive the Southampton away display, that one will stay with me for a long time.

You literally see nothing from anyone while they are out of Old Trafford. And from the 30th September to the time when his cast was off you have around two months and then the player has to get back to competitive fitness. There is nothing strange about the length of time of his injury.

2 weeks until the window opens, and all this cloak and dagger bluffing can be put to bed.

If Pogba is still here on February 1st, I will be absolutely gobsmacked.

For 5 minutes. Then it will dawn on you that your projections were based on no facts in the first place and you will feel better. And maybe a little silly.

I’ll be ‘gobsmacked’ if Haaland doesn’t move in January, for obvious reasons. Your Pogba thing is for made up reasons.

Even if he is not on strike, he should be sold as soon as someone pays a decent fee for him. Need players with a commitment to the cause if we are to achieve success. Madrid have done their job and will not pay what we want. Hopefully, PSG can get into the frame.

I was thinking the same. Looks like they need to "buy some time" with excuses before confirming that he is off in January.

Flu rules him out of training for at least a week to prevent his spreading the illness to other players. I think this is what Ole meant by the illness "setting him back".

That feels like the type of "Ozil illness" before a game. Honestly, very suspicious.

After Ole kept saying that Sanchez would play a lot of games for us this season but knew that he was being offloaded I thought then that he could lie like he used to finish, stone cold.
I suppose Pogba will be under strict instruction to stay indoors and get plenty of rest which he probably needs after all his recent travels anyway.
At least it will be more time to rest his ankle so he can play a big part in 2020 and hopefully that will be for us.

Awful professional. Fergie would have tore him a new one.

I am sure there are loads of posters on this forum rather like myself in as much as,they are sick and tired of Paul Pogba.I have said before that he is a very gifted player with talent when he wants to be but sadly for United those occasions are very very few and far between now and the time is right to sell him even if it means at a loss and a chunky one at that.People are going to say to me now that he brings in revenue in other far flung places of the world and has a great following here or there on social media and my answer to that would be,I don't give a hoot,I was going to say a toss but I am not sure if it would be conceived as swearing..The lad is an embarrassment to not only himself but more importantly to Manchester United Football Club and I am sick and tired of him, full stop!

Oh and one last thing on Paul Pogba,if I had a pound for everyone who said to me that he must be a brilliant player because he has won a World Cup,I would be richer than him haha.I can think of a whole lorry load of players who have won World Cups who I would have no where near my team and he is no exception
