Genuinely the most entertaining footballer on the planet, not for his ability but for his sheer lunacy.

Red card was just one of many atrocious decisions from a ref only looking to send off one player. The first yellow was laughable.

Christie can grab Morelos manhood on a yellow card and no second yellow. Jullien clear red card when kicking him in the calf when in one on one. Left back on a yellow pulls Morelos down when away in a dangerous area, no booking. Jullien pulled his shirt in box, no pen, yet gives Celtic a pen for the same.

Kris Boyd is spot on when he says refs treat him differently. Two red cards this month for him have been laughable.

Missed a sitter today but terrorised the Celtics back two again.

He bullied the entire Celtic defence all day. The red card was an absolute farce. Kevin Clancy tried his best to get Celtic a result yesterday but just couldn't quite manage it. Why was Edouard not playing?

I find this guy fascinating. He has boundless energy and hounds the defence for 90 minutes. He has great feet, he is strong as a bull and is a great finisher too. His temperament is obviously the big question mark over his head.

He reminds me of Suarez. It’s that fiery, in your face, temperament that makes him the constant danger that he is. He would need the right coach to harness that energy and keep him under control, but he has massive potential.

I remember watching Suarez at times with Ajax and questioning whether he could make it at a bigger team. He sometimes seemed so wasteful and made stupid decisions. He was like a young Ronaldo, fascinating, but at times, infuriating.

If I was United boss, I would be taking a punt though. I would say he would be attainable for 25-30 million and I really think it would prove to be a bargain.

At the very least, you would never be bored watching a United game again!

He has that killer instinct inside the box. Would score lots of goals in a team that plays more in opposition half rather than in fast transitions.

Brilliant player, I am huge admirer of Morelos even though I realise he will never join my club. Very fit and strong, takes on defenders and is consistently hardworking. Definitely good enough to play in the PL. He is a nutter, another Diouf who needs proper man-management, but the racist abuse he is subjected to is disgusting.

We should have signed him along with Bruno. There is something appealing about him.... he has explosive energy and killer instinct. He reminds me of a Dwight Yorke type of player. He's the type of player even if you're hardly in a match he will get you goals. What we don't want is Klopp to get him.

He's showing signs of being an elite forward. Now if he played under, just say, klopp, he'd be one of the deadliest forwards in the world.
Always shambolic and wasteful againts Celtic. 11 games already without goal in the Old Firm. Overrated as feck.
He's still showing signs of being an elite forward. Now if he played under, just say, klopp, he'd go on to become one of the deadliest forwards in the world.

hes been absolutely crap for a few months now, and misses a considerable amount of straight forward chances.

He most definitely has it in him to be a top player and I think Lille is a good step for him. Needs to find consistency and control his emotions better but has a Tevez vibe. Will be watching with interest

Poor Lille. Absolute clown.
Depends of the fee they negotiate for him. They are turning into a money making club the last 2 seasons. Watch them turn a profit on him in a year or two.

Please do not want that scum at the club. One of the most despicable footballers in the game currently. I'd like to think of a club like United that wouldn't lower ourselves to buy him.

Good to see he's off to Lille and I hope he pisses away his career and never to be seen again.

This seems a little harsh. What has he done to you? I know he’s known as a difficult character but as far as I’m aware, he’s just a normal human being.

I've watched Morelos countless times for Rangers, he's an absolute disgrace in games when trying to get people sent off, giving sly kicks to players and blatant cheating with his actions. He's been sent off so many times but he literally could be sent off every game he plays. People go on about Suarez when he was at Liverpool but this fella makes him look like an angel.

The game is better off without players like him and he'll end up sent off every two weeks in France the way he carries on.

I presume you parked your sanctimony when Cantona and Keane were club legends.

Cantona and Keane were no angels not saying they weren't either but they haven't crossed the line like Morelos have done time and time again. Rangers will get a bit of money for him and the circus with Morelos will carry on at Lille I'm sure.

If you put your club bias aside you could constructively say that he’s a good young player but a huge nutcase. Be interesting to see how he does outside of the Glasgow greenhouse

Despite the persona, he does a lot of charity work back in Colombia setting up a foundation which he devotes a lot of his time and money towards. He’s been doing that since arriving in Finland when he was on a lot less than the wage he receives at Ibrox.

On the park like most target men he gets involved in physical battles and niggles with his marker. It’s a two-way street and he gives as good as he gets. He can bully centre-halves but he takes a lot of shoddy treatment, especially in Scotland where defenders have some license to be aggressive. In the past he’s been naive in reacting and has picked up too many red cards, but his record has improved somewhat as his temperament has matured. Still plays on the edge though.

Who have Rangers lined up to replace him? I know Defoe was banging them in but with the busy Scottish schedule and his age that won’t be enough if they want to finally end Celtics dominance.

Nobody as far as anyone knows. Defoe pulled his hamstring a few days ago so he’ll be out of action again.
