Finally agreed terms with Bruno. That must've taken some doing from Ed and Matty. Player desperate to come and us desperate for him. They don't arse around do they?

Now they're preparing negotiations with Sporting. Should be in a strong position considering the player will be 30 and worth half his current value by the time we put a bid in.

Last signing that showed his potential? I hope we don't turn another potentially good player into shit. We seem to have a way of doing this for sometime now......
Our 3 previous signings have done well, and the last infamously crap player to be bought in Fred is playing pretty good now. Chances are we'll get this one right as well. I'm not that high on Bruno myself, but I'm happy if he makes me look silly.

Dawson also reporting the same as Castles and Ducker now.

Castles has been way ahead of the rest of the British Journos on this potential deal.

I'm sure this happened in summer too, that he was set to come once he had played some big game for them. Feck off and sell him or don't

Can the Bruno detractors give me the low down on why they think he's not good enough?

I have seen very little of him but what I have seen is him banging in great goals, turning opponents inside out in midfield and laying on great assists for his teammates. What is missing from the highlight clips that makes him a liability?

Sorry if it's been discussed in the thread, there's too many pages to go through :)

After last night I’m highly confident of going to see Bruno at Wembley

I mean Bruno Mars must be in concert soon right?

In a nutshell ;
Portuguese league is crap as evidenced by Lindelof being its best defender
Goalkeepers have no hands and are blind
He’s got a goatee
He kicks doors to pretend he’s hard, not hard like Keane who finished the career of everyone

There were never reports of personal terms being agreed though. Were there?

A lot of people, both on here and it’s on social media lack the ability to be able decipher transfer rumours. Last summer, the rumours were strong from Portugal, but it was never all at once and it was from largely unreliable sources. Consistently throughout last summer the British journos shot it down which is a huge indicator that it’s not that close.

This time it’s completely different, the Portuguese press reported this almost uniformly last Friday all at once, a huge indicator something is actually happening. Then, we had our journalists confirm it and it’s as solid as can be now.

People have to be able to assess these things.

Because of his links to Mendes who's been involved in the deal.

He's on the Mendes payroll, clearly being fed information.

For once though that's helpful, we actually get a more accurate picture of what's going on.

He WILL be a united player after the Benfica match.

What's the odds he gets a serious injury in this game  ...........:(

I think it’s more likely he would get injured his first game playing for us
