some guy who banged in a hat trick on his debut for Dortmund was available cheaply a few weeks ago..

..but we couldn't convince him to join.
He didn't want to join our shower of shite. Who can blame him tbh

He’s continued playing Rashford knowing full well that he has a very serious injury and it’s blown up in his face. It’s terrible terrible squad management. Tantamount to negligence in fact.

Do you think that Klopp would risk one of his front three? Of course he wouldn’t.
It blows my mind if Solskjær knew full well and took that huge risk. Is this spmething that would have happened regardless?

It just shows the current state of the club. Incompetence from top to bottom.

I am sorry but we sacrificed him for what 3 Rd round FA cup? A competition we won't win anyway. Shocking man management. Shows how out of depth Ole is. I am now leaning towards Ole out camp
You're still only leaning at this stage? The whole club from management upwards are incompetent. Injuries like this happen when the squad is so paper thin. Just surprised Rashford allowed it to happen unless he was almost forced into it.

If he's out two or three months that's him done for the season, might as well treat all niggling injuries and rehab for next season. Shame as he was genuinely stepping up to a different level.

Gutted beyond belief about the news. Not only is Rashford probably my favourite player in this team, but it is immensely bad news for the team.

As much as I think he is an absolute trooper for the club, Ole has very badly handled the situation, and deserves a lot of stick for this.

This is quite possibly season over for us if we don’t replace his goals. Just hope Marcus can get back for last stint of season and maybe can be right for Euros.

I know a lot on here aren't bothered about the Euros, but Rashford will be desperate to be in them and if he isn't because of this, he will be seriously annoyed if he feels he has been pressured into playing.

Well a tweet I read earlier said that he had a single stress fracture that they knew about and after the Wolves game that became a double stress fracture. It’s fecking horrendous from Ole and the medical team.

Absolute depressing news. I just don't know where we go from here. Pogba out for the majority of the season, Mctom and now rashford out till the end of the season. It's beyond belief

So that fplsubscribe person was right then..

Obviously has some contacts

People were saying it was bollocks in the Rashford thread but I read up on the guy before posting it and he had been 100% right in leaked line-ups so he has inside info.

That's a sackable offense for the whole medical staff involved.

Only for that would i love to see Mourinho back for a day - to sack the lot.

if true, our medical team need purging for negligence
One of the consequences of not strengthening the squad properly is that certain players get run into the ground.

Months out FFS that's united top 4 chances as good as gone and you know Clueless Ed won't bring in any replacement either.

We'll be fielding U16's by the end of the season at this rate.

SHAMBOLIC squad management by the chuckle brothers.
Most fans here would be thrilled to see us lose 6-0 every week as long as we're fielding 16 year olds. Because that's all that matters to some. The yoof.

@Adam-Utd - couldn't respond on the other thread as it's locked down mid match, but fair play, you were spot on in your assessment!

Unfortunately! As this is a terrible blow.
And at least the 3rd or 4th time our ludicrous lack of recruitment in midfield and attack looks even sillier.

Either medical team knew it and didn't present it properly or Ole knew it too but risked it.

Sackable? In addition to inconsistent results, losing the two best players under these circumstances makes you wonder.

There were news reports that be was badgering ole to let him play even the Colchester game to pad his goal total. I doubt he has an argument about being played when he wasn't ready.

We're relying on Martial, who typically plays a small handful then misses a game or two, and an 18 year old.

It's like we're playing our own mad game of where we can be more stretched, midfield or attack

It’s also a consequence of manager running players into the ground. Ole hasn’t been brave enough and has ended up shooting himself in the foot.

Could it have been done intentionally by Ole to force the board to spend more in this window? Or is he just incompetent as our manager and believed nothing will happen? Regardless, we will definitely have to find an extra attacker now or recall 500k a week Alexis Sanchez back. On that wage, he should improve our squad significantly

Ideally we could get a striker in Jan but that’s wishful thinking.

Damage control is get to winter break and hope we get the two midfielders back but we are paying the price for a small squad and overplaying Rashford.

Ole's understanding of player fitness and injuries is, like most of his acumen, all derived from playing Football Manager.

Ole is the manager, supposedly. He should have shown some authority and told him that he had to get fit. Ole is a pushover.

Unfortunately so mate :(

I only thought as much as I had a similar injury and he’s exactly like what I was doing. The giveaway was he kept holding his back in pain every bump or run.

I can’t believe the club have let it get to this stage, the fact our squad is so damn poor we’ve over played him into injury - same as pogba.

this season is a write off now. We just need to start again and make sure we’re more prepared next year.

If we don’t sign this jan and have a poor summer we are going to struggle again.

I'm gutted for the lad. :( Must have been playing through so much pain with both back and ankle injuries, yet some people here were saying it's and excuse and not true when it was so obvious.

Our club is an embarrassment and I also totally blame Ole for this, he seems to be totally incompetent in managing injury problems.

I don't think he's a pushover but rather that he felt he needed Rashford on. The wrong decision no doubt, and one that could cost him his job.

:( :( :(

So gutted for Rashers, he could have finished top or amongst the top scorers of England and potentially Europe. Lad was on fire. And disastrous for our season too.
