To still be in it with a minute to go wasnt too bad i guess.

Stark contrast between the two teams. Took liverpool two passes to get forward. Took us about ten.

Fred was our best player. Matic was goo also.

Dan James was poor. Kept leaving Wan Bissaka exposed.

Andreas poor also.

Badly need a signing soon just to raise the morale.

Ole Glazer Solskjaer thrilled with that no doubt. Glorious defeat. Fair play to Woodward and Ole the loser mentality has set in deep not just within the squad but even throughout a large majority of the fanbase. Sad to see.
Shame on you, that is a disgraceful comment. Why don't you go and find another club to support.

why did ole stop de gea going forward? why can't james commit a foul salah like valverde did last week? this team just lacks quality

Show me anybody who doesn't see that we could have easily drawn this game with Haaland and Bruno being available with the same team, and maybe even won it.

1. Bruno playing instead of moronic Pereira
2. Haaland and Martial playing two-striker partnership up front instead of James/Martial.
3. Mata playing midfield, Shaw resting and Williams playing LB

This game would have been ours. 100% guranteed.

So now - what is the price of that? Haaland and Bruno still overpriced?

Feck you, Woodward and feck your recruitement/negotiations/whatever chief

Ole and a lot of United fans will be thrilled by that result.

Because we showed fight, or character or some other shite you say to counsel losers.
It's already happening. People talk about the state of our squad like some sort of excuse.

We were unlucky in the end but they had some glaring chances which could have made it easy for them.

Referee was terrible in first half but improved in the second.

Zonal marking is a load of shit and has cost us so many goals. Don’t understand why managers use it.

Fred was excellent.

Ole needs to realise he can make changes early. He always leaves it until the 70th+ to make a change. Then doesn’t take off James who had yet another anonymous performance. He doesn’t provide anything.

In the end beaten by a much better team.

I supported them from beginning to the final whistle.

Don't care about the negative comments.

We showed great spirit, a proper derby game.
Feck Liverpool though.

Fred is MOTM. He was excellent. He is progressing very well.

Liverpool deserve to win but we had a good fight in 2nd half.

Result was as expected really, As we have known for some time this team lacks quality, but still wont be suprised to see no one coming in this transfer window.

Think it's going to be a very long time before we see Brand United get anywhere near a title.

Meh. With the injuries we had and the difference between the respective teams’ development, it was a decent enough performance.

They play some horrible brand of football, though. Don’t be fooled by the Scouser-infested media. Longball FC.
I'm down with this, Liverpool aren't as great as they're made out, they've had a lot of help from shit performances from their opponents this season and a share of VAR ridiculousness.

2-0 flattered them, could have easily been 1-1. They panicked for the last 25 mins, and their 2nd goal was because we actually went for it. 1-1 or 2-0.

I'm happy we didn't get battered. It was pretty good from us tbh.

'She canna take the strain' with Ed's face scared the hell out of me

Should have made the subs earlier.

Fred was the bright spot. Not a terrible performance, but the usual...

Let's just win our next match and forget about this.

We could’ve nicked a draw there, despite Liverpool being by far the better side. Anyone who expected any more than that from this match needs a serious reality check.

We rode our luck for large parts of the game but gave a decent account of ourselves during parts, so can't knock them too much. I feel AP and James held us back in the attacking third in general but with injuries not many other options.

We did the maximum we can. I cannot have asked for more but a goal and when 1-1 it could go different.

Rash and Scott are missed a lot.
Fred superb.

Considering the team we put out, the result and performance was much better than anything I expected. We rode our luck seriously at times but we also put this Liverpool team under pressure more than most sides have at Anfield this season.

I'm Ole out but I have to give him some credit because in a similar situation other top 4 rivals would have been hammered today.

Played better than I thought we would but once again Ole waited too late to change things for me. MOTM for me was Fred but the biggest disappointment was the news that Rashford is out for weeks, shocking decision to bring him on against Wolves, so sadly we need a striker as well as a midfielder or 2 and let’s face it that ain’t ever going to happen in this window, sadly I think Ole is in over his head and with the club run the way it is he doesn’t stand a chance.

Not particularly impressed by Liverpool, City are a way better side. It’s crazy how they’ve struggled this season.

And us? We’re not that bad. Need to replace some players, but we have a good crop, this team has great potential. Let’s not go OOT on judgement, losing to a finished article in this Liverpool team. Ole might not take us all the way but he’s doing some good work here and the fans are not giving him nearly enough credit.

Special mention to Fred, what a turnaround. Super performance in a very tough game.

fecking hell.

I was absolutely 100% convinced that we would have no chance in this game. And you could say in the end that I was proven right, we lost, that's it.

But this is killing me because we had a shot here. We weren't good by any sort of standard, no, but the only truly unacceptable part of the game was the first 10 minutes of the second half when they should have buried us. Apart from that, it was a good effort, lots of character and fight.

And the fecking goal we conceded - the first anyway - was such an utterly fecking frustrating goal. Will Liverpool score an easier goal than that all season? fecking hell. And then ultimately we just lacked quality, especially without Rashford. Not unexpected but still depressing. We're not THAT far away though. We'd just need a perfect transfer window which is about as likely as inventing time travel.

If only Martial had scored that... who knows.

2-0 is ok I guess, we didn't deserve anything from this game.

Liverpool shat themselves last 20. Good to see and we showed character and fight without three of our best players. Yes, we were hanging on at times and Martial scores it’s a different game.

Why is it now Carragher is saying this is the game that’s won them the league? Dick.

Liverpool fans had to wait until this many points clear to sing they’re winning the league. Their famous crowd shat themselves too last 20 minutes.

Why James didn’t hack down Salah I’ll never know.

No doubt the Ole Outers are sharpening their keyboards as we speak.

After that match I think it might just be fair to say they’re a bit better than us.
In all seriousness we huffed and puffed at the end but we lacked quality.
We’ve relied too heavily on James too soon, Pereira is poor, Lindelof isn’t having a good season.
This performance shows the gap between the sides, if the management team can’t find quality in the market like Liverpool have done then we’re wasting our time.
I’m fed up, as that bloke off AFTV would say.

Could have been, should have been, much worse, saved by Var and posts.

Great fight shown by players... we were struggling yet were fighting. The defeat is squarely on Ole for not being able to keep players fit. This shows his lack of man management. Rashford today would have done a world of difference. Even our on field players were not looking fit. Ole needs to be held responsible for this.

I never expected anything from this, and I can't say I am terribly disappointed overall. We were always gonna struggle but we kept their lead to a minimum for the longest time and even made them worry in the end. We had to go for it, I am a bit sad that de Gea didn't get the nod to go forward for the corner when he wanted it, but it wasn't the final minute yet, we expected another half-chance maybe before the end.

Sad to concede at the end but we had to risk it. We weren't an easy team to beat even if they were a lot better team overall, that has to be said.

Learning experience for young lads here. We need to get up, dust ourselves off and go forward, should not let this affect a bit of momentum we acquired lately.

We were hammered. They should have won by 8,9 goals

We ‘looked’ good first 15 and last 15 minutes. I think that was more about Liverpool sitting back so they didn’t concede to a counter early or late on. They were clear the better team for 60 minutes in between. That said was a strange game. Could have lost 5-0 or drew 2-2 crap finishing from both sides

Lack of quality, still managed to carve out two clear chances with this team at Anfield and had them making a lot of mistakes. Sadly a big gulf in class right now.

Meh. With the injuries we had and the difference between the respective teams’ development, it was a decent enough performance.

This. Their defensive play is incredibly good and they got some amazing passers in their team, but its loads of long ball forward and then have Salah/Mane do their thing.

Has to be said though, the relative body strength of those two is just insane. What are they feeding them?

They play the kind of football Ole wants us to play, except they actually do it well and can also play against deep teams.

A team that lacks quality managed by a manager that lacks quality. Some of the lads tried today but the first 11 isnt good enough. The injuries play a part in that of course. Could the manager get more from the players available today?

Team needs serious investment, just carrying too many first teamers who are bench players at best. Still not convinced that we should be backing Ole, although I’m not singling him out on this game alone.
