Thought he was awful today. always made the wrong decision and when he made the right one he couldnt deliver the pass. i was one of his biggest defenders to give him a chance, but doesnt seem like he can do it for us.

If you ignore his role as a no 10, you could say he did okay.

However, his role is a no 10, a crucial role where he needs to make the right pass and I didn't see that today. Way too many wrong decision today and just absolutely not much quality in his end product and hold up play. Awful and need an upgrade. The positive is that he's better than Lingard who can't even control the ball.

The AM/10 role is so important in how Ole wants to play. It must break his heart that Lingard and Periera are the only options (who can run) Two players who can't pass or shoot. For the love of god Ed just buy Bruno to play there.

This lad is stealing a living at this club. Needs to go this summer.
Yep. I've always maintained that he isn't fit for this level and can't see myself budging on that despite the one good pass every game. His football brain is simply a level too slow for this standard of football. He should be playing his trade in the Portuguese league or Dutch league where he'll that extra second to be able to perform. I'm afraid pressing and the odd decetnt pass isn't and shouldn't be enough to be a Manchester United player.

A nothing player.

People criticize Lingard so much(rightly so this season), but the alternative is not much better.

Pereira is useless.

We need to ditch this #10 nonsense and just play with 3 in midfield.

I was surprised to see him as the lowest rated player today, there's an issue with his final ball but I thought he was linking decently with Martial and helping out the midfield 2 when we didn't have the ball.

I won't really blame him, he has his bright spots sometimes unlike Lingard. Today was not one of them. Happy to have him around as a rotation option just because he's pretty versatile (can play CM, AM, RW) but we really need a proper #10.

Whether that's Pogba or Fernandes or Dybala it doesn't make a difference to me. Will instantly elevate our level.

Just realised what he reminded me of yesterday.

He is like those FIFA Co-op player who is not in-sync with you and your friends. He might not necessarily be a shite player but he is always one step behind your play. It fecks up the rhythm and you can't find any flow to apply pressure on the opponent.

Absolutely infuriating player.

I think he was deceptively poor. He'll sometimes outright give the ball away, but even when he doesn't his involvement will usually still kill the attack. He'll take too long, or he'll pass it backwards or sideways, or often his pass will be too inaccurate, putting the recipient in trouble. Even when he finds himself in the right position, which is fairly often to be fair, he'll very rarely contribute positively.

Still, he did some good work defensively.

Agreed, it was what we initially did when Ole came in and it worked. It got the best out of our players.

And on top of that, we dont have anybody good enough for when we do try it. It just makes no sense, especially in big games.

Find it hard to criticise him tbh. It's just a clear example of a player simply not being good enough.

At this point more blame should go onto the manager for constantly playing him.

Well when there's no squad depth he has no choice but to play him.

Absolute disgrace. The worst two performances of any player this season have both come from him (here and Sheff. Utd); how on earth is he a Premier League footballer? Fecking get him out immediately

Hes a hard working honest kid but just not good enough at this level. Its not his fault, its man united management team for allowing the squad to fall into such an embarrassingly thin state that he’s become a regular this season.

Very poor. No vision at all. Dan James was in loads of space when he tried his flick inside the first ten minutes.

I honestly can't believe at one point about 3 or 4 years ago I was totally believing he's a great talent and will be great for us after his loans are over. Only thing that softens this a bit is many others were believing the same at this point iirc.

He was awful but we created so much more when he was on the pitch, it's a funny one.

Thought he was okay, involved in a lot of the build up for our early opportunities.

You know what annoys me? His positioning is genuinely exceptional. He is always in the perfect position to receive the ball through the lines and his control is almost always spot on, he swivels and moves forward so well.

Can we give him Mata's brain?

Feel for him tbh. Should be playing at Brighton or something, or more realistically even a different league at a mid table club. Yet he's "disappointing" here every week (because that's just what he is as a player). He's complete shit of course and probably the worst we've ever had to be a regular starter, but such is the state of the squad that because he tries he is starting.

Another Januzaj.

We've spent years building him up for nothing. Awful player in my opinion.

Also, he really annoys me with constantly ruining an attack by shooting from outside the area. Why does he keep doing that?! When was the last time he scored from outside the area. One of his team mates needs to tell him to stop.

Like the lad but this season proves he’s not good enough for man united. We can’t sell him cos he’s recently signed up for 4 years probably on about 100 bags a week. Everyone will say that’s the managers fault but it’s not it’s the boards. We won’t sell him cos no one will buy him, the squad remains full of dross like this hence why Jesus Christ himself couldn’t manage this lot

He’s become that player who now as a game is going on it’s a case of “I wonder what minute we’re gonna have to sub him off for this abject performance”.
