The club could really do a lift. Watching some of the videos in the tweets of the passion he shows could be exactly the type of attitude that is needed in the dressing room. I think we lack genuine leaders and the closest we came was when Zlatan was around.

Any player with an ounce of common sense would avoid this club like the plague right now. At least, if they want to progress as competent footballers. The only reason any player would come here is for the money.
Any player you meant any “already made world class” player.

Bruno agreed with 120k p/w. That’s not a lot of money for his wages. And look at Rashford how he has progressed right now, not progress so bad isn’t he.

The meltdown is off the chart here every time we lost. Ridiculous, if there is a player that we can aim is this type of player moving from a club like Sporting or Aston Villa to Manchester United.

The meltdown is completely understandable. Its a reaction to performances that have been inconsistent for several years and after a poor performance against a very poor Burnley team.

That doesn’t mean moving to United from clubs like Sporting or Aston Villa is not the right choice. If you are talking about Veratti or Kross or Neymar or Mbappe moving to United is yes, but Bruno? Come on!

Yes true, but again, why berate people for having these sort of reactions. The club is letting the fans down and its very easy to just have negative thoughts about the club.

The money is still a very strong reason to join Manchester United. I dont think interesting players to join Manchester United is a huge problem considering the wages they will get.

He may be a clown himself but Jose knows what a fecking shit show we are on and off the pitch.

Still our best manager post SAF. Ole unfortunately is the worst.
He burned the house down in his 3rd season, but I feel it was really the board's fault by not backing him in the window. Only Dalot, Fred and Grant in that summer window was a terrible, terrible decision and the turning point for Jose's stint at the club.

It’s because you can still progress to be competent player by moving to United. We are Manchester United for feck sake with world class training facility, not some relegation team that we can’t even make progress on a decent player.

From another angle, I think the writing was on the wall that summer and the board knew he could implode that season. I'm not justifying it by any means, but I reckon that was their reasoning - that and they don't want to spend money because they are bleeding the club dry. Same thing seems to be happening with Ole- kind of backing him financially but not really in case it doesn't work out. Stupidity on mind-blowing levels. I honestly hope Ole stays. I know he's not perfect as a coach but replacing him achieves nothing.

I was angry with the performances under Jose in his 3rd season, and he has to take the blame for many of the crap results we had before he left, but after thinking about it, I saw why he was so pissed about everything. He had just led us to 2 trophies in his 1st season, and a 2nd place finish in the 2nd season, all the while still trying to clear out the mess made by previous managers and the board. The board even gave him a new contract - if that is not a show of confidence, then what is? Obviously Jose thought he would be backed in his 3rd season to continue building on his first 2 seasons' successes.

Then in a sudden u-turn of support, instead of continuing to build on the good work that was done, they just cut off the support and decided they should make the transfer decisions. Jose wanted a CB badly and didnt get one. Only Fred was a signing for the first team during that window. How is any manager expected to work with those crap decisions?

Yes this is a fair point. You can definitely understand why Mourinho was pissed off. Although personally I still think his public behaviour was embarassing.

Thought Mendes point that Sporting and him are talking to other clubs aswell was telling. There is clearly (as of now) no agreement with Utd. He has just pissed over SSN (and whoever else) chips by there. And especially the Portugese press who seem to talk utter bollocks every window

If Sporting had accepted something off Utd, they wouldnt negotiate with other clubs, theyd simply be told to match your offer. And they cant exactly negotiate a higher deal with someone else, because that would be daft on the buying clubs part.... paying more for him, than another club have agreed. I suspect it'll get done, but i dont know about some on here, but watchign him i get this feeling, he isnt what hes cracked up to be

Jose was never one to be shy in public, though as you said, it was pretty embarrassing. However, you don't become a serial winner by mincing words - I really thought we were on to something after that 2nd season when we finished 2nd, and that we would kick on from there. But the board just destroyed everything in one go.

Yeah that's what happens with people who have high standards. They don't accept crap. The hilarious thing is we went and got Maguire anyway for an extra 10m.
Which just makes Ed's decision making even more pitiful. Not to mention offering Jose a new contract and then firing him, thus costing us millions more pounds. Added to the millions to Moyes, the millions to Fellaini for getting him after his clause ran out. The millions extra we spend on wages. The millions lost if we throw away 4th place when it was right within our hands. And the millions more we will pay in order to secure top talent when we're not in the Champions League.

Oh yes Ed, definitely worth saving 5-10m on Bruno. What a great businessman. LMFAO.

Finishing 2nd was only a setup for failure. The Glazers probably thought if Jose can do that why do we need to spend. They don’t care if we finish 2nd or 3rd or 4th as long as the money keeps rolling in.

How much time has that first offer wasted? What was the point low balling when it's obvious how desperate we are for a player like Fernandes. They were never going to accept that offer so you'd have to be an idiot to offer it, It would've been more respectable and far less time consuming. Matt Judge is pretty much the worst thing that's happened to this club.

This is dragging on so long, does anyone actually have faith in the people in charge of this. An entire summer if haggling and bs await. Wish they would the club and get someone in charge that can run things properly. United don't learn, they get worse in the window and the holes within the team and gap widens. Ole is out of his depth but God couldn't get the current players consistent.

Tbf. he has a lesser deck of cards to play with than even LVH and Jose had. Fecking Shaw and Lingard, a combined 1 goal between them in the last 18months, to chase a 0-2 scoreline.

Who loves Lingard and has been starting him most games just because he managed him in the reserves?

It's a combination for sure, don't think anyone is going to say Ole hasn't made mistakes tactically. Hasn't been properly backed, a real shit sandwich in short.

Yeah it was a brilliant move haggling over £10m wasn't it Utd and don't give me it setting a precedence for summer signings because let's face it who in their bloody right mind would want to sign for this joke of a club. Grealish/Maddison & Sancho need to do the right thing and run a mile away from this club because it is poisonous from top to bottom.

What a hypocritical board we have in place who were more than willing to pay £80m for Maguire but not willing to go the extra for a talent like Fernandes, well that just about shows how much of a complete and utter mess we have become this last seven years.

Has every right to be like that. The team has been a embarrassment in the window for years and refuse to change things.
For years?

He was the one that brought in some absolute shiit. What do we have to show after letting him spend over 350mil ?

Totally agree. Woodward playing real life football manager. Not new information but the guy's an idiot. On what planet is he qualified to make footballing decisions? Sad times.

Why should Ole get more money and buy more players then when he had spent 150m and the teams looks far far worse than his initial 3 months from every perspective?

Squad depth!!!
The squad became in far worse shape with less options and worse quality after a full summer of Ole and 150m spent. His 3 signings bar AWB have been average to awful as well. If you think the previous managers didn't deserve more money then Ole doesn't deserve either. He got a very good squad that finished 2nd the previous season and gave him the job via the great honeymoon period and totally fecked it up in one year. If you are blaming Woodward for the summer business then he should be blamed for the previous markets too. You can't even give credit to Ole for the incomings because, again bar AWB, they haven't improved the team by 1 inch. So according to your own logic, Ole shouldn't get a cent till he's sacked in summer to avoid more terrible transfers and fecking up with the team.

Cause maybe he doesn't get the support from the board? Look at how the Fernades transfer is going at the moment. It's Ole dealing with Sporting right? It's Ole penny pinching for as low price as possible, Right?
Jeezus. When Ole gets sacked the same things will keep on happening no matter who the manager is.
