Jorginho missed in the league cup final didn't he?

Eden Hazard had a pretty good record for Chelsea thinking about it with similar technique.

From memory both Balotelli and Berbatov* have missed only one pen each.

*regular taker for Fulham and Monaco and took a few for us, Leverkusen, and Spurs, the one miss is for us in the FA Cup vs Everton.
Balotelli has missed 2 penalties for AC Milan in the same season once. I think overall he has at least 3 missed penalties. I know for a face both Reina and Perin saved his penalties.

Milner has scored 30 and missed 5 (1 was in the U21 Euros). Fun fact he's had his penalty saved by two different Finnish goalkeepers.

3 of Gundogans penalties were youth team football. 6 penalties in 7 years isn't really a statistic worth mentioning.

Michel Platini had a 100% record. He scored 25 penalties.

Didn't know that Mile Jedinak had retired but he never missed one.

Luka Milivojevic took over from Jedinak and he's scored 21 in 24 which is slightly better than Milner. All of them but 1 were PL pens and that 1 he missed in Serbia.

Mark Noble has scored 34 out of his 38 penalties for West Ham which might be the best record from an active player.

Mile Jedinak was the one of the best in the world before he retired this summer. 16/16 record.

Albanian midfielder Ledio Pano apparently never missed from more than 50 penalties.

Ledio Pano (Albania, 1986-2001)
Midfielder Pano boasted a 100% record in over 50 penalties in his career in Albania and Greece, with one-time FK Partizani team-mate Niko Frasheri noting: "We had faith in him. His precision with those shots was second to none." Pano, who spent hours practicing penalties after training sessions, added: "I never looked the keeper in the eye. I always just knew where I was going to put the ball."

Didnt Le Tissier have an excellent penalty record?

Rickie Lambert has retired, but he was exceptional. Scored 50 and missed 3 according to Transfermarkt, but his last miss came in February 2009 and he scored 34 in a row after that.

Dirk Kuyt was 40-9. Nothing insanely good, but he scored a few high pressure ones for Holland. Arjen Robben's 19-3 isn't bad at all either, though he missed a fecking crucial one against Chelsea. He was also the one to lift our shootout nightmare against the swedes by scoring the decider in the euro's.

For an active Dutch player, Bas Dost is 32-2, which is quite amazing. Or Haller (not Dutch but feck it) 23-1. Weren't United linked to him?

Is Pogba really 7-4 in the prem? For someone from the ministry of silly run-ups, that's shocking.

Fabinho at Monaco was a very effective PK taker. In fact, Liverpool team has several amazingly good PK takers.
RvP was pretty accurate himself.
Cantona was pretty amazing at PKs himself.
Leighton Baines used to do it for Everton back in the days and I can't remember him missing.
Chilavert was flawless taking PK's.
Le Tissier record is terrific.

Dunno why, but Pirlo and Del Piero are the ones I remember as being an example of how to take PK's. They would vary their shots a lot, which make it unpredictable to the keepers.

After seing him for several seasons here at PT league, one wonder how is this even possible, but he does have the talent for PKs and 1 touch finishing (too bad he sucks in almost everything else :D )

But the way he took the PK's were completely awkward: the slow sprint, the same movement, even the way he shoots seems like he's not tottally on control of his technique, but somehow the keepers never get near it.

There's some very good penalty takers in the Prem... Milivojevic, Kane, Jiminez, Milner, Jorginho...you'd always back them to score from the spot.

I've always loved Hazard's technique: look at the keeper, just go the other way at the last moment.

He's missed a few in the past, but is currently on a streak of 13 scored in a row.

Thanks. I knew Noble was up there for one of the best in Europe.

I know I'm cheating here a bit but every time Hazard stepped up the PL the result was a goal, he only had two saved which were stuck in on the rebound (one from Speroni the over from Caballero).

The only times I remember him being properly denied was in the CL.

Is there any way to find out who has the most while still on 100%?

I'm asking because after Gündogan scored his penalty yesterday against Fulham, I wondered if he had ever missed one as I only ever remember him scoring. I googled but only found this list from transfermarkt (https://www.transfermarkt.com/ilkay-gundogan/elfmetertore/spieler/53622) which puts him at 9/9 however they only include in-game penalties and not those from shootouts. I remember at least 3 penalty shootouts with Dortmund and 2 with City where he also scored which would put him at 14/14 (although the Transfermarkt list includes 3 penalties from his u19 games, so 11/11 would be more accurate).

Is there any current player with a better record? I remember a couple of years Balotelli getting to 30 I think before he finally missed one but apart from him a can't think of a current player with an impeccable record well above 10. Any sources?
:)

Mainz is currently on a run of 25 consecutive pens scored in the league, with several different takers however. Our current first choice is Daniel Brosinski who has scored every one of his penalties for us (6 in the league, 7 total), his career record is 9-1.
