He told Jose he didn't want to play as he didn't feel 100% and felt there was potential for an injury to reoccur. Hardly a poor attitude though I think Mourinho will see it as such.
I doubt it will happen but surely at some point Jose will realise at some points he needs to trust players know their own bodies.

A Leopard can't change his spots. Jose likes his players to run through walls for the team, regardless of pain.

I remember John Terry talking about Jose wanting him to take daily pain-killing injections for a whole season once, when he had a broken foot.

I agree, i would hardly call that a bad attitude. A player knows their body, if he doesn't feel right why should he force it?

Always looks shattered by the 60min mark when I have seen him. And has had a bad run with injuries, I reserve judgement until players have had a second year in the prem. Especially young players like Ndombele who is what, 22?

Wouldn't be surprised if the petty jerk Mourinho was firing shots at him during his post match interview. When the interviewer asked about the importance of Lucas's contribution at the beginning of the 2nd half, he weirdly used that as an opportunity to laud Lamela for offering to play 10/15 mins, despite only just coming back to training and how the team spirit is high as a result.

In a long season and a home game against brighton. Normal manager would say ok and keep it in house. But this is Mourinho and every club he goes to he starts with picking on a player to create a siege mentality. Ndombele seems like that player. But no way Levy is gonna let mourinho mess around his record signing and will intervene if needed

Jose throwing his player under the bus is nothing new but surely this must be a record in terms of time taken. Usually it's about six months when he shows his real face.

He could vey easily have said the player is not match fit like Ole did with Pogba all this while. Instead he couldn't resist the temptation of throwing him under the bus and make the player feel apart from the team. Jose gotta Jose.

The seasons biggest flop? Or does that go to Pepe?

I never thought was all that tbh, a lot of bluster not a lot of genuine quality. That being said he’s better than current performances show and I’d expect him to become a solid player in the class below the very best. Just as a side note I think Fred is far superior in most departments and if he keeps up current form will count himself amongst the very best in is position.

You’d think after what’s happened with Fred people would be a bit less quick to laugh and write players off on here, clearly not though.
Who's writing him off?

You can't deny for 60m he's been shit this season though same as Fred was largely last season for us (bar the PSG game)

He was good in patches. Just hasn't been able to play consistently due to injuries. He will come good for sure.

Didnt he reject us seeking CL ? Good luck in EL next year though.

Fred was never given consistent run however Ndombele has been underwhelming. I thought he was a disciplined Pogba, looked more like disciplined Sissoko.

He's a good player he won't excel under Mourinho the same way that Pogba didn't. Jose is just useless for player development he's lost his aura since Madrid.

 I bet the people who thinks he is a bad player are those apologizing to Fred. N’Dombele is a fantastic midfielder. If he plays consistently, he will be one of the best in the league.
Think this is a slight exaggeration, he’s potentially a good player but he’s never really done anything ‘fantastic’. Hasn’t had many unforgettable games and hasn’t stamped his authority on a single game this year. Lo Cleso on the other hand actually does look like a bit of a gem, could see him doing very well under a better manager.

Actually he scored a few goals in his opening games and he was not really given the amicable amount of time to be judged accurately. My statement is not something that's contrary to time with Jose, he doesn't offer any tactical fluidity in the midfield to allow the players shine. That's why Jose works well with defensive midfielders because that's his side of the game which we saw with the somewhat emergence with Mctomminay / Matic in his first season.

Too soon to write him off. Players need time to get used to a new league and team.

Reminds me of Fred and the difficulty he had adjusting to the pace and physicality of the premier league!

I think Spurs need to keep giving him cameos this season and then a decent run next to see if he’s able to come good!

We appear to have been very lucky with Bruno

Jose doesn't seem to rate him that highly.
Because he's a bit shit. The Poch acolytes will still claim he's some kind of incredible talent though.

Could it be he hasn’t adjusted to the league yet? Ala Fred?
Fred used to look like he couldn't cut it in the championship
The defining difference is Fred worked his arse off . Things weren't going well for him and yet he forced his way into the team by hook or by crook.

Then you have Ndombele. Meandering around the pitch relying on his technical ability that has failed him thus far. Can you honestly see him putting in the effort Fred has done to win his place in the team?

It's weird that you bring Poch into it. The people who think he's talented think so because they watched him for Lyon, not because Pochettino bought him.

I think if they just wanted someone good on the ball, they'd be better off getting Rabiot on loan. I thought this guy was box to box.
