Which fecking nutter would have half her arm amputated because a 2-year revalidation would harm her employer's reputation? Never mind that, but be back at work a week later as well to work with those same animals who ripped off her harm in the first place?
I know. When she explained it, i was like, What? 2 years is nothing, and youre choosing Amputation? wtf  And yet, she was the sanest person haha

That was pretty fecking bizarre too.

Just a few episodes in, it’s very entertaining. And one big commercial for America too, the only western country where raving lunatics can have hundreds of tigers while showing off their guns
The part where the tiger wanted his boots and he just whipped out a gun and fired at it was downright insane. It was on a live stream too I think?

His funeral speech was absurd. Mentioning his testicles for christs sake.

I thought John Reinke, the guy without legs, came across as pretty normal, almost too normal and level-headed to be caught up in all this insanity.

Carole Baskin is the sneakiest i feel. Trying to advertise her zoo as holier than thou. And gets people to work for her for free.

I've seen this mentioned a few places. Why does it matter that people volunteer? I think it was mentioned that it's run as a non-profit, do we have reason to doubt that and suspect she's taking the money for herself and not using it for the care of the animals?

Arriving Somewhere but Not Here
Just a strong feeling that that Jeff Lowe, the fat snitch and Carole got together to get Joe out of the equation. As Jeff Lowe owned GW Zoo, the payments (courtesy the suing) to Carole would be going out of his pocket. Since Joe wasn't really the smartest guy around, he kind of dug his own hole with these three providing him the tools. On an another note, how on earth did Carole talk about using Sardine oil and the hand not fitting in the meat grinder with such a straight face? Absolute mental show and every minute as it progressed, I had a bigger WTF look on my face.

Also, Here Kitty Kitty has to be the biggest flex in the history of Mankind.

Carole's "How to get rich" video, the will saying disappearance rather than death, the documents going missing from the secretary's office.

"That bitch down in Florida" is guilty as sin.

The US, you bet she got no insurance. She chose the much cheaper option.

Anyone else find it kinda weird how Dillon doesn't seem anywhere near weird enough to be involved?

Also there's no pics of Joe on his Insta. It's just him being a normal American bro by the looks of it.

He seems like one of the strangest. Who on earth could fall in love with Joe Exotic? You must be crazy to fall in love with him.

The guy who started a drug cartel to support his animal collection was also one of the most reasonable, well adjusted people in this whole show.

I remember going to Myrtle Beach as a kid and seeing advertisements for Doc Antle's place all over. So glad we never went.

Apart from that bit. That there's no mention of him on his Insta makes me wonder if there's an ulterior motive, but it's not like Joe has loads of money....unless he does.

She came across as creepy as feck. Probably was involved in her husband's disappearance.

Everything she says it's meant to put herself in the best of light. Everything absolves her of any blame. Like how when the topic of the inheritance came up, she said that Don actually wanted to not give anything to his daughters, but because she felt that they were his daughters, they deserved to have their name somewhere. In other words, thanks to her kindness, they got 10% of the estate. When Don picked her up on the road, after failing 2 other times, Don gave her the gun to point it at him and that he was desperate to have someone listen to him therefore he allowed her to point the gun at him. When her brother being a deputy was brought up, the brother was 9 years old and she was 15 years old, therefore it was impossible for him to have a relationship with her brother. That sounds crazy. A 6 year barrier means you have no relationship with your brother? Who buys that?

When Don filed the restraining order, it was because he had dementia.

In front of his grieving mother as well!

I think Carole Baskin definitely comes out of that documentary as the most dislikeable character. Her videos are downright creepy, and her current husband is a fecking weirdo. She definitely killed Don Lewis.

I thought Jeff Lowe came out worst. Partly for being a manipulative conman. Partly for being a sleazy womanising scumbag. Partly for looking like he's in his 50's and wearing a bandana and trucker cap. But mostly for that disgusting goatee.

Personality wise i did not think she was as bad as the other three men. But she is sneaky all the same in my opinion.

She is the kind of person that would pretend to be your friend and all the time be scheming behind your back. You cannot trust her.

Yea good chance she had something to do with her husbands death.

This is apparently being turned into a film or TV series with Kate McKinnon somehow involved as Baskin.

If David Spade doesn't play Joe Exotic in whatever is made, there is no point in even making it.

Sadly, the spectacle of what felt like a Tarantino directed mockumentary, seems to have missed a golden chance to put more emphasis on the problem of more Tigers in the US cages than in the wild across the entire planet. At least it has brought it into public view where it wasn't before.

What a bizarre, insane program. I get the comment stating it was boring and insane.
Cos it was that combination.

It would look like it started to drag, then WHAM, a new insane revelation. It seemed like there was a bombshell nearly every 10 mins just as it was starting to get to the point of, ughh, what am I watching.

It probably could have been an ep less, but still, nuts show.

The whole thing with Carole and her husband was crazy too. I cant think of many (if any) of the people who came out looking like a normal decent person. The woman who had her hand amputated?
Maybe Carols rich/dead husband's lawyer? He seemed alright

Seems they glossed over Joe being an even bigger cnut somewhat in the doco to make it more fun and less dark.
Bigger cnut than what? Taking advatange of meth addicts? Exploiting tigers for fame and profits? Constantly making death threats on the internet? Constantly berating his staff, whom he pays a salary that you can't live off of and feeds them with expired meat and houses them in broken down trailers? Writing bad checks and generally scamming people? That was all in the documentary. Maybe his charm somewhat made you gloss over all that but he sure as shit did not look good in that documentary.

All the key protagonists were narcissists and/or sociopaths but Doc Antle was the king. The world he’d created for himself where he was king of the beasts with his harem of silicone enhanced women working on slave wages was pretty remarkable.

Yeah they did gloss over stuff though.

They glossed over his terrible treatment of the animals.

They mentioned him shooting some tigers very quickly once near the end and that was it. It’s since come out that he’d often shoot animals.

They did actually gloss over his manipulation of vulnerable people. Although it was obvious to most they didn’t really highlight it.

Plus a number of other things that have come to light since.

You also missed out where I said ‘even bigger’, clearly implying he was obviously a cnut, so I’m not sure why you replied as if I was suggesting he wasn’t one.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff is looking for new leads in her husband's death. Baskin has apparently declined to take a polygraph.

Yeah, I felt the little montage at the end was not enough

It's standard practice to decline polygraphs even when innocent isn't it? They can be unnecessarily misleading

Its definitely not standard. They can however be a powerful PR tool when one is innocent, to show that they have passed a polygraph. Likewise, it would also be a big win for a guilty person to pass a polygraph. In Baskin's case she should take one since the questions will continue to linger if she doesn't.

It's way worse if she takes it and fails though. That's a real possibility even if she's innocent.
