Pogba can be the best when he's in form. Before the injury Rashford was really promising. Its between those two.

Too early to say Bruno imo

This season:
1) Fred
2) Rashford
3) Martial

In general:
1) Pogba
2) Martial
3) Rashford

Bruno is a monster but too soon to put him in this selection.
Couldnt have said it much better. Its been Fred this season due to his consistency even when the team is down. Find it odd that his name isnt even considered. In general I would put Pogba, Bruno then martial.

On current form Bruno.

Rest of Europe would say Pogba ...by a distance.

he’s been voted motm 26 times since he came back.

Rashford 17
Shaw 9
Mata 5
Lindelof 4
Matic 8

Stats back this up massively too, on any metric. You might not like him, but it’s really not that hard to get. Only Bruno could be considered close and he’s been here five minutes so let’s calm down on that for now.

*Degea 18 times as a caveat, since he’s been widely accepted as our best player overall in the last seven years. Over the time Pogba has been back, DeGea has 8 less MOTM award on here.

I'd love to know whose voting, and the fact Shaw was voted for 9 times suggests you shouldn't take it seriously anyway.

Probably Pogba. But he shows it so little that it might as well be someone else.

This season I’d say Fred or Rashford.

Im not arguing with you  I get your reasoning behind disliking Pogba.

all I would say is that it’s extremely rare when I look at the votes, that I disagree with the top three. At times I disagree with exactly who comes out on top but the top three I pretty much always agree with. I think it’s a respectable measure. It really isnt going to be far off, those 26 games aren’t likely to be far wrong. He isn’t going to have been poor in them, there will be games also where he was in the top three and didn’t come out on top, where perhaps he was the best player but someone else scored two goals, or games like Spurs away last year when he was our best outfield player but DeGea was outstanding.

Shaw won player of the year last year, I don’t agree with it but he was of our better players. His 9 votes won’t be far off if you look at the games individually and objectively.

Strictly seen from United perspective Rashford gave Pogba run for his money. If players will progress further, Pogba will be seen less as the main superstar and more as just a one piece in Ole's puzzle.

I imagine Sancho will dethrone both.

At their top best

Attack
  1. Pogba
  2. Rashford
  3. Martial
  4. Bruno
  5. Lingod
  6. Mata
  7. James
Defend
  1. AWB
  2. Smalling
  3. Rojo
  4. McTominay
  5. Maguire
  6. Shaw
  7. Bailly
Wow you really don't like Maguire! Come on man he should be top of that second list. AWB the only other one in the conversation and only then if he improves his attacking prowess

It'll be interesting to see how the voting goes if Pogba stays as there are more players that more fans have affinity with now in the current squad than there has been for a few years.

Previously unless somebody played a blinder you knew the M.O.M was going to be one of 3 or 4 players.

Eh no, I like him. He's grown on me.

The ranking bothers you? It's purely defending, Smalling is much better, as does Rojo 2016/17. Difficult to compare midfielder and defender since different position but McT is our best MF when defending. Even if Mag is on his best, so far wearing red shirt, I still feel Mag can easily lost vs tricky attackers that like to twist defenders around.

We need to see more of Bruno before deciding this. Pogba is more talented and so his best is better than Bruno, probably. Bruno, though, seems more consistent. Again, though, we need more time with Bruno.

Ive never seen a player get it who didn’t play well, or in the case of the whole team being shite, wasn’t the best of a bad bunch. It was never a popularity contest and Pogba has never been popular really.

I'm with you on this and I think the fact that people are trying to argue against objective facts says it all about the bias people have when it comes to Pogba. I just can't understand how anyone can watch Utd over the last few seasons and not have Pogba way ahead of the rest. Rashford, Bruno, Fred and Maguire have closed that gap but it certainly still exists.

Pogba must be reasonably popular if he's been voted M.O.M so often with so few obvious standout matches, the same with Shaw.

Hiya Mino, you're not talking to Ed Woodward now you know, though i'm sure he has a gander ever so often just for the giggles.

The fact is Class, Pogba has been as inconsistent as the unit he is playing in, however, the reality (as the MOTM stats indicate) is that Pogba has still been the best of the rest. Has he had poor games, almost certainly but genuinely how many poor games has Pogba had when the rest of the team have played well? The answer to my mind is very few!

Look I'll admit that the situation at the moment sucks, if he's not fully committed then I think we will have to face the sad reality of letting him go, but is there not even a small part of you that would like to see Pogba in a better functioning team? Personally, I will be gutted if we can't see a lineup with Pogba and Bruno with a firing Martial and Rashford ahead. I just think its all too hasty, yes he's frustrating but he's also shown glimpses of being absolutely unstoppable and perhaps under Ole with a better team around him he could become the player we hoped we signed.

I'm not one of those that thinks player a, b, c, d and e are shite whether we win lose or draw, as a lot do, I more target those who frustrate the crap out of me because for whatever reason they appear to be playing within themselves like Pogba and Shaw often do, with Pogba he is of the age now with his natural ability and athleticism he should be tearing up the League at least 1 game in 3 whether half of his team mates are having stinkers or not, yet half the time he just doesn't look bothered, a trick here, and a Hollywood pass there, and that's about it.

Would I like him to stay and become the player we all thought/hoped he would become when he rejoined, well yeah, but I don't think that will happen with his head already halfway out of the club unless we give him a significant pay rise, but there's nothing he's done on the pitch over the last 2 years to suggests he deserves that.

Not sure you will get the best out of Fernandes and Pogba in the same team anyway so maybe best he leaves.

Pogba on form is our most creative and best player, Bruno Fernandes is quickly taking that mantle, but Fred has been our best player..

Pogba, clearly. But one could reasonably ask whether he's still "our" player.

Rashford.

far too early for Bruno to be be in the conversation. Pogba, talented as he is has been self isolating all season. We have a number of quality players in Maguire, AWB, Pogba, Bruno, Martial - but Rashford stands above them all.
