Says more that amazing talents at City aren't being used correctly and are having their route to the first team blocked by Pep choosing to spend on established players instead. Wouldn't blame the kids for seeing the writing is on the wall and getting the hell out of there.
Yeah they keep hearing about how talented Foden is yet he barely plays. Then they see Sancho reaping it up in the Bundesliga. The choice becomes easy after that.

Would be worth signing Ansu Fatti, can just imagine the Bad Manners song ringing round O/T " Lip Up Fatty Man"

It would be incredible business to land Sancho given how much money clubs are losing. Him alone would cost us 100-120 mil. Havertz or Grealish, I cant see happening, no way we can afford two big money transfers. English journalists dont know shit. Except Di Marzio and his gang, I dont trust anyone. Even they are wrong plenty of times.

There is a part of Atlético(the board I guess) that consider Thomas as lost, his destiny would be the Premier and Arsenal are the best placed
Really hope we get involved

I think most people don’t want to believe it, but the links to big hitters can only really mean Pogba is going, and I would say that has been the case for quite some time now.

It's funny seeing comments saying Havertz would be competition since all great sides have competition in their teams

It’s not so much Havertz, it’s the links to numerous big money players. Sure, the press invent things to have something to talk about, but players like VdB are being linked too. Sancho, if he came, wouldn’t be cheap.

I don’t think it’s a bad thing though. I would certainly sacrifice a player who might want to leave to strengthen the squad as a whole.

I just feel like there is something in it.

Why are Barca trying to ship Arthur...thought he is a baller?
Fitness issues, off the pitch trouble, inconsistent performances.

Still, regardless of that, I'd love him here. Not that there's a chance.

Could be Graelish is affordable with Sancho if Villa gets relegated. But not before.

Pogba has almost exclusively played in the 2 in OGS 4231 so those links to replace him wouldn't make sense. It'd be more of an 8/6 that would likely replace him surely?

I'm aware that Ndidi fits that mould, but beyond him which other players have we been linked to that would actually take his place in an 11?

Selling Pogba and bringing in Grealish and Sancho would result in Grealish still being on the bench as he would be if Pogba was still here.

It might not be like for like. Ole could have another formation in mind, or he might feel like he would rather spend money in other areas of the squad. Maybe he sees VdB as another midfield option in a different combination. Maybe he feels like McTominey and Fred are his duo there.

It might just be rubbish, but in a scenario where Havertz and Sancho came to United, I don’t see Pogba staying from even a financial perspective.

Grealish can play as a dlp and a ap, and, imo, is very good there.

He was moved further forwards a few games into this season because Villa's forwards weren't doing anything and they needed his attacking output, but the first choice was for him to play as a CM like the whole of last year and the start of this season. As a CM, he played deeper than McGinn who was the one who got forward in their midfield 3.

That's why I'd love him here. He can play as a CM, AM and out wide all to a very high standard. It'd be a massive boost having someone that versatile in the squad.

I really think we are developing Mctominay to be our future DM. There's an article on that actually but can't find it. So if Pogba goes and we get Grealish

.......Grealish.......Bruno....

.............Mctominay......

Yeah, I'd expect that formation if Pogba stayed anyway. Bruno seems to have good vision from deep rather than playing on the half-turn as a no10 and this formation suits Pogba down to the ground as well. Grealish would get enough games in rotation with Pogba, Bruno and Rashford.

It seems from links to Van De Beek and Grealish we want another rotation option who in top form could start ahead of our starters. If Lingard/Pereira leave then we need competition in that area. Pogba may really benefit from someone pushing for his place in the team.

Havertz only makes sense as a Pogba replacement to me. He certainly isn't a wide forward or Sancho alternative.

Pogba's not going anywhere according his friend Adnan. Let's dominate this window:

Pogba-----Fernandes
----------Havertz----------
Sancho--Martial--Rashford

Now that is an exciting team.

I basically think the same as most of you that have quoted me.

Grealish/VDB work in a 433, but not really as a 4231.

Havertz makes no sense. Bruno isn't going to drop back to 8 after the performances we have seen. Havertz has never really played as an 8 either so would need to play at 10.

It would be a luxury beyond belief to be able to rest Bruno and play Havertz or the other way around, but makes no sense with holes in other parts of the squad.

That's my opinion on Havertz at the moment as well. Before Bruno it would've been an incredible signing, but there's no chance we're spending that much money on a potential back up unless the plan is to have him in front of Bruno as a false 9. Even then we have Martial and a world class potential prospect in Greenwood, as well as Ighalo. Havertz ain't happening, still essential we get a back up no.10 in though.

Could see the price for Grealish coming down to a level Utd find acceptable if Villa get relegated.

Agree with the person who says he would be good signing because can play a few different positions.

I can understand where people who are coming from when they talk about his questionable character though too.

If Thomas Partey is available we should get him instead of Grealish Havertz or VDB. It would make more sense than those three for our starting line up and give us more balance whether Pogba stays or leaves ..

Pogba stays:

.........Bruno........

Pogba.......Partey

Pogba leaves

......Bruno.....

Partey.....Fred

How many people have watched Partey and think he'll walk into our team? He is not that good, his passing is average, he likes to kick the ball off the ground often when he try to win ball and sometimes he can lose concentration.

I'd rather have Fred or Mctominay rather than spending 50m on Partey

Why are people not allowed to discuss the very clear rumours on Ansu Fati by the way? Because we don’t believe it is true? Not sure why we cannot open a thread on something being floated in the media. It’s a fecking conversation board not a fact-checking service surely. We won’t sign 90% of these players.

The few times (usually against big teams) I've watched him he was one of the stand out players

Who do people think is Utd's top target out of Grealish & Van Der Beek, forget about Havertz as think he is only linked to Pogba leaving.
