This is the only thing stopping me to enjoy Zelda BotW, I am not exactly having a fit over that but I end up just hoarding best weapons forever and using shitty ones because of fear of losing them. If BotW was natively on PC, there would be a weapon durability mod long time ago that would make me enjoy it more. I just need them lasting a bit more, not forever.

Anyway, sorry for the offtopic again.
Yeah, it has proper gear fear. But the point was to be creative with everything in the game (since it's one of if not THE most complete worlds to date), they went a little far promoting it by having weapons break so quick, but soon enough you realise that you find great weapons literally everywhere anyway.

But again, the first few great weapons you find, you definitely tell yourself not to use

I'm a terrible hoarder in games.

Two clickers, a normal infected and a shambler in a room? "Hmm, should I use this molotov? I might need it later."
I just go in like an arsonist in with molotovs, they always load you up before a big fight anyway ... The beauty of playing on easy

I'm not far past the third manual, so still early I believe, and I have over 200 of both pills and scrap!

Oh and I'm on the hardest difficulty, so I'm assuming that's a ridiculous feat

About half way and loving it but have to say that one thing I hate are

Those flashback sections, particularly the ones that don't involve Joel and Ellie

Does it trigger anyone else when you're playing stealthy and your buddy is running around like a head less chicken in direct view of the enemy.

Even though the enemy only react to you It just ruins it for me when they're looking straight at your friend running around in the open.

Ahh but they can spot her, it just seems a bit more random. Then, of course, they know exactly where you are and come charging at you not her.

The A.I is an absolute mess in this

That was my one gripe with the game. The human AI is terrible, and I was playing on hard. So many times I'd be crouch walking slowly between cover and the AI would be staring at me for a good 3 or 4 seconds but they still wouldn't notice me. Not to mention all the times I'd grab an enemy in full view of one of their friends, "stealth" kill them, and crouch back down without getting caught.

The rest of the game was very, very good though, if a little long.

I accidentally read on here that Abby was a playable character, and when she killed Joel I was thinking there's no way in hell I'd be happy playing as her. Credit to Naughty Dog though, by the end of the game I was actively rooting for her over Ellie, and definitely didn't see her as a villain.

I genuinely don't understand how any sane, rational person can think this game is pushing an agenda or the work of SJWs.

Did anyone else shit themselves going through the hospital? Where they said it was where patient zero was? I’ve never seen something more obviously leading to a boss fight and I’m about to turn the generator on which I know will let everything out

Always get nervous when a game starts giving me lots of ammo.

so true, i just wish game developers could somehow program it better or just don’t have a person running with you. Make them stay back and hidden until I get spotted, It just ruins the immersion, to be fair no game has quite grasped how to do it properly yet.

Am I supposed to feel guilty for killing dogs? Because I don't. Annoying pricks.
Its really weird, even the entire reaction online about killing dogs. I mean in what world is killing an animal in self defence worse than killing a human. "Man I can't wait to murder Agatha down the road, just hope I don't have to kill her terrier to get to her"

Have you got tackled by a team mate yet?
I was on the part I presume you are passed, where you first meet the WLF and have to jump to the balcony of the house across from the current building to get there, so I start to run, press jump and Dina runs straight into the back of my legs before I leave the ledge for a quick game over. If I wasn't at a checkpoint location, I'd probably have lost the plot.

Still most games with an AI partner are shocking, and its not the worst I've played (thats probably Resi 5)

Same, vicious twats these dogs. They should have set up some scenario where there's loads of dogs trying to bite you from all angles and yer lying in your back blasting them all to pieces but then boom, theres a Pug with his tounge poking out of his closed mouth right beside your head & you don't have time to think and you take the little bugger out. Then I'd go awww, feck you Naughty Dog.

My game save says I’m 17 hours in but it does feel like I’m near the end. I heard it was roughly 30 hours long so it does make me wonder.

Been a slight time jump and now Ellie has made the decision to go after Abby again.

Anyway, really enjoyable to this point, despite the occasional boring section.

Someone on here completed it by last Saturday. I'm wondering if they even took a piss or ate and just ran through every area.

Lucky I'm quite the hoarder and even playing on hard I managed to make it quite easy, it was a shame they made it so obvious though as maybe It would not have been much of a challenge if I didn't have maximum pipe bombs, incendiary shotgun ammo, and hunting pistol ammo. I got quite lucky i threw one of the pipe bombs just as it separated and stopped me having to fight two things [/SPOILERS]

Yeah see I didn't expect it to split and my two pipe bombs were the first I used. I am a hoarder but I save those for that exact scenario

Then it splits into two and I'm sprinting round in the dark trying to pick up ammo and being flanked. Very tough one for me that. I think I downed it with my last bullet.

That’s me done. Need to reflect on it but immediate feeling is one of disappointment. There is so much to admire in this game - it’s genuinely stunning at points, however, ND had to know that they were going to alienate many fans with the 2nd half of this game. At no point did I feel anything for Abby (I understand others did and that’s ok but it just didn’t do anything for me). The first game has such an incredible ending that it’s more or less a self contained story with a lot of ambiguity but this one doesn’t feel like that. Feels like they still are encouraging players to ask questions but it just doesn’t have the same weight. Clearly there is an angle for a 3rd game and perhaps this one will play better as a result but I think a lot of fans would be sceptical of any story direction.

I did the same, but I have a cheeky shop near me that sells games a day or two before release date.
I just got it out from the postbox friday morning and basically finished it by saturday night. I'm on a disabillity pension due to a chronic illness, so I simply have too much time.

I encountered the dogs for the first time yesterday (Not a spoiler, was shown in a gameplay trailer) and dealing with them was pretty annoying. Died a lot of times and decided to restart the encounter to leave it for today when my mind is more cleared. Seems I need to change my strategy in stealth from now on.

I get rid of them things immediately. Distract them with a bottle or brick and bow and arrow them to death before they cause trouble. Big nuisances.

I still don't have bow and arrows I saw in the gameplay trailer. Not sure if I missed it or I'll get it later in the game. I was thinking about burning them and their owner with molotov.

Yeah, I got to be honest, I don't' feel too guilty about killing the dogs in this game as they're annoying as feck. Although I will say, burning them with a Molotov is a bit brutal.

I actually like the flashback sequences in this game; I think they're really well done.

I just had the flashback sequence with Tommy where you're shooting those runners on the cliff just before you meet up with Joel. There's a little bit of friction between Ellie and Joel and you go through that Hotel and get ambushed by clickers/runners/bloaters. I enjoyed it.

I don't think you can miss it. I could be wrong, but I don't think you can. So you should get it a little later.

I feel bad and maybe I am a monster, but killing dogs is incredibly satisfying in how you lure them in those traps  and those exploding arrows on human enemies.
