Has Arsenal become anyone else’s most hated side after the Scouse?

I use to despise them as a child when they had Viera, Henry and Parlour but that made sense because they was good and our biggest rival. I don’t actually know why I hate this current side so much:lol:

I hate these little flicks from Lacazette. One out of fifty work, otherwise we lose possession in a decent area.

100% we're conceding one of those far post goals after a flick on, today. We look so vulnerable.

Nah, I no longer hate Arsenal, which says it all about them currently I guess. Now I hope they lose for the comedy value rather than because we need them to.

Arsenal under arteta have been such a bore to watch. Atleast under wenger even when he was past his prime they were entertaining side and used to score fun goals. Even under Emery for first 6 odd months they used to play some good football, now it's just a chore. No style, no passion nothing.

We have no creative players, apart from Ozil and maybe Xhaka. So often you'll see there's a through ball on, but our midfielders will turn back and play the safer option. Hard to blame Arteta for that

I don’t think this line-up is working at all. Attack looks very disjointed with no clear structure to create chances. The players don’t seem to have any idea how to build up play, hence just passing between the defenders. Not helped by Laca not able to hold the ball up.

Bar isolated spells I don't think they've been that entertaining since 10/11.

Saka is our only creative threat, it’s mad. Dreadful squad planning.

You are correct but still they used to batter the poor teams and used to put up a fight sometimes against big boys. I remember them tearing us apart at the Emirates under van gaal beating us 3-0 and also beating chelsea under conte 3-0 and scoring 3 plus goals against liverpool on multiple occasions. Yes defensively they were naive but still were somewhat entertaining than what they are now.

Deano going for the dive way after the ball had been struck. Another poor penalty saver?

This form has so far consisted of a keeper error, a defensive howler and a cheap penalty.

I wouldn't get your hopes up...

Looked like he was doing similar to what Oblak does, and stayed upright incase it goes down the middle - or close to the middle.

Not sure what is record his now, but earlier in the year there was an article in the Athletic suggesting he'd saved more penalties than he'd conceded at all levels so far in his career.

Red Card for Casemiro!
Such a scrappy game, and not the first one in these past couple of weeks. I feel the quality of games has been quite low in England since the restart - end to end action has been rare. La Liga games, on the other hand, seem to be easier on the eye so far with slick passing all around (Barca vs Levante comes to mind).

Bundesliga was unwatchable, though, bar a few moments of quality here and there.

I feel like teams in the Bundesliga, and here in the PL, rely more on their athleticism over technique than in La Liga. So with fitness levels being low after the break it makes sense the quality isn't there yet.

Makes sense really. Bar a City, we're not exactly a "technical" league - it's much more based around pace, strength and individual moments of brilliance. It'll get back there, but it'll take time. Be interesting to see how this, if at all, impacts the European tournaments in August.

How has that McGoldrick guy made it to this level? He's hopeless.

I've never seen a player as obsessed with winning fouls as Lacazette. His entire game is based around receiving the ball into feet, grinding his arse into the defender behind him then falling over.

I want us to face Arsenal or Chelsea (if they get past Leicester later) in the next round, they owe us one.
