Went over to blue moon for first time in a while, their thread on the ban is cracking me up. Much the same as we’d be, body language experts have appeared reading Pep’s and Mahrez post match body language.

Don't we get into Pot 1 by winning the Europa League? I think regardless of us finishing top 4 we should be going all out to win it.

Assuming City's ban stays, I hope we play our 1st team against Villa and Southampton, rest players vs Palace and then play our preferred XI vs Chelsea
I think we'll do that regardless. The Palace game should be the one we take the risk in out of these next 4 matches.

Can you guys just win Europa then we all qualify :)
I would think Ole wants the team to finish as best as they could in the league. Winning Europa and FA will be like a bonus. That being said, I do think that the latter two are filled with more suprises.

If Chelsea go to Sheffield United and win, it will be a very good result for them. I can’t see it with Kepa in goal on set pieces.

If they do, fair play to them and they will deserve their place.

As fans winning EL and qualifying is better than finishing 4th.

In terms of money, finishing 4th in PL is min 30m+ more money than qualifying by winning EL. As the team won't be eligible for CL money.

Also iirc if United win the EL and finish 4th, team finishing 5th won't get CL.

We need to finish in the 3rd champions league spot. 4th = playoffs and we can really dont want to deal with the extra travel and 2 extra games for qualification.

There are no qualifying play-offs anymore for teams qualifying from England. All 4 teams straight to the group stage.

Huge game tonight! Pressure is definitely on and will be for most of the remaining games. Regardless of other results, we will always be under pressure to get something - we're either trying to stay in touch or looking to capitalise on mistakes, so it's always going to be some form of pressure on us to get the points.

We can't ask for much more with Leicester dropping points, Palace giving Chelsea a right go and somewhat unlucky to not grab a draw. Wolves losing two on the bounce etc. We just have to get the result tonight.

What are they in the mix for? Europa League spots only.
For 5th - which could give them CL if they win against Chelsea and Leicester. They should be able to pip Leicester to that spot if that happens.

Lots of ifs anyway. Id just like to see a newly promoted team get CL as long as it's not at our expense!

It's satisfying watching them finally drop down.

They're a good team in their way, but negative and pragmatic. Playing them is a boring chore.
They are fecking atrocious to watch. Nuno is a chip off the old block with Mourinho, but it is okay for a small team. The draws have killed them but they are not daring enough to do any better.

Utd beating Villa just reaffirms most peoples point

It'll be us and Utd in CL, Leicester will miss out unless City lose their appeal

I think that's CL qualification wrapped up. Unless City can convince CAS to let the ban commence next year instead then top 5 should be good enough.

That’s 5th wrapped up. If city’s ban is confirmed on Sunday, then we’ll get champions league.

I still think we’ll finish 3rd and win all remaining games

Effectively 7 points (due to GD) above Wolves. Champions League sorted. City aren't winning their appeal.

1 point and 6 goals between us and Leicester. Think we’ll make those goals up before the game too.

Just keep winning.

You have to say, it's mighty impressive what United are doing.

We have a great chance of doing it now, honestly we’re such a good side at the moment.

Only worry is that we start games quite slowly but it’s a small thing.

Chelsea - Sheffield Utd (A), Norwich (H), Liverpool (A), Wolves (H)

Leicester - Bournemouth (A), Sheffield Utd (H), Tottenham (A), United (H)

United - Soton (H), Palace (A), West Ham (H), Leicester (A)

There seems to be a lot of talk of late that its Chelsea + 1 for top 4. Looking at those fixtures I think its dangerous for any team to start thinking that they are home and dry.

United would be confident given our run in is easier, were it not for the the fact that we have points to make up, but things can change drastically on each match day. Chelsea's match this weekend is huge. They could easily end up 5th on Monday night, and if that happens, with Liverpool and Wolves still to come, then there is potential for it to go badly wrong for them.

Southampton and Leicester will be tricky games for you. I expect you to win the middle two easily.

Southampton were brilliant in the first half against us and should have been 2 or 3 in front and you’ve started a bit slow at times so if they score first then it could be a tricky game. If you score first I expect you to win that though.

Leicester is an obvious tricky game depending on how many points they pick up between now and then. If they’re out of the top 4 race it might be a bit easier for you (assuming that is a game you need to win to get 3rd).

You are in the best form though so you are in a fantastic position to grab 3rd, let alone top 4.

That’s not gonna make a difference at all,
especially for united. Now it looks like Chelsea or Lester will be watching that ban decision very closely.
How?? If Wolves drop a single point against Everton and the City ban stays we would have get CL

Chelsea aren't beating Liverpool so winning all our games will get us 3rd. Simple as!

But I'm worried about Southampton and Leicester, I hope we're a good amount of points ahead of Leicester before we face them because I would shit myself with nerves in that game. Unless City's ban is upheld of course, then it won't really matter much!

Not sure about that to be honest - given that Norwich are all but down (and might be by the time we play them), one draw in any of the other three fixtures would all but assure us of 5th at worst given we have a decent edge in GD over Wolves and it's not as if they're a free-scoring side at the moment.

It very likely that there will be something riding on the last game Vs Leicester, which will make for a nerve wracking afternoon.

As much as they are struggling, they surely can't keep on dropping points, and we need them to drop 5 points and for us to keep winning in order to make that match meaningless. If Bournemouth can take something from them I'll be confident of that, but realistically we are going to have to go there and, at best, avoid defeat.
