Could us and Leicester play out a draw to deny Chelsea ?

If, after this weekend, results go as expected and Liverpool beat Chelsea and us and Leicester win then we’d both go into the last game three clear of Chelsea and with uncatchable goal difference meaning a point a piece would deny Chelsea even if they beat Wolves.

I seem to recall us and Blackburn playing out a draw to suit us both and could be a similar scenario this time around.

Both us and Leicester would go two points clear of Chelsea heading into the final day. Yes, both clubs could play out a draw and qualify together for the CL regardless of what Chelsea do against Wolves. Will be funny if that did happen.

No but teams can get an idea of what’s required and it happens in World Cup, Euros quite often and id not be surprised if Rodgers and Ole absolutely agreed to play out a draw.

If Liverpool had beaten arsenal then I would agree but right now Liverpool don't have anything to play for.... I hope I'm wrong and they twat Chelsea.

Liverpool will be on TV picking up the trophy. They will go all out to win and win well as they wont want to be remembered for losing on their greatest day league wise for 30 years.

In an era of hacking and leaks, they would be fecking stupid to even talk to each other about anything between now and the end of the season. You don’t need to fix a match when you have game theory.

My memory is fading but there was a definite case of us and Blackburn playing for a draw from the first minute. It was in the Fergie era and it was basically 90 minutes of us passing it sideways and with them getting eleven men behind the ball.

Neither team have the right style to play out a 0-0
Both teams are about quick breaks and pace up front.

Chelsea will probably get a draw at Liverpool, but I'd be amazed at any more, as Liverpool won't want their proud long unbeaten home run to go.

I think your memory has massively mis-remembered it.
I think it was more like about 6-7mins max at the end.

This - not to forget they have an Anfield record to protect. I can see Chelsea dropping 2 points against Liverpool. Moreover Wolves are pushing for Europa, so Chelsea might be in serious trouble to be honest.

Even if Chelsea draw against the Scouse we can draw against Leicester and both get into the top 4. Just need to beat West Ham and Leicester win their game against Spurs.
