Jokes aside I do have some sympathy for him right now. He just lost his mother to covid and even though he's always been abit weird in interviews and such he does seem abit extra "off" lately.
Maybe I'm looking into it too much but the grieving process is different for everyone and that last video where he was saying everybody should apologise to him and City was actually just quite difficult to watch imo.
As much as I despise our rivalry with City I do hope he is okay and in a good frame of mind.

Mental factors. I think he wants it and push his side too hard for it. They are not calm and relaxed in these games unlike normal league games. Pep shows it on the sideline and he do not inspire anything that helps his players mentally.

Without Aguero they are half the team. I thought the game would go exactly as it went. Lyon sit deep, and City run out of ideas. City are average defensively, so I think in their own box they can give you a chance, and going forward, they are one-trick and pass, pass, pass with few ideas. Aguero is the difference, and they are easier to play against than people think for good teams.

Glad they're out again.Pep is not good at motivating his players I guess so as others have said, mental factors. They're good in a shit cup competition and in league, where their quality of players and system helps a lot, but not mentally. I'm not sure if they have this winning mentality as a team.
It is like he is always trying to proof his genius in these big stage games and goes for a more experimental tactical approach and line up instead of his league proven successfull style
