They will be compact and tought to beat. We meet them at the wrong time. His late Everton side was a nuisance.

I hope we are at the races, it can be a long evening otherwise.
Yep. Funny how meeting teams at a certain point of the season can make all the difference.

I still fancy us to beat them as we (should be) more up for it as we have something to play for, but sometimes it can work the other way.

Their defence isn't great but I can see Antonio giving us an issue with his speed and strength.

You lot are risking the wrath of the footballing gods, laughing at the chosen one so soon before you play his team!
Absolutely this Duffer. I can't believe it's a Chelsea fan having to point this out to us. I wish this thread be left alone until after the match.

So what? The D is not only a group of players but a cohesive unit. A unit that won the league. You can't really judge defensive players like wingers mate
Defence being a cohesive unit doesn't mean individual quality is irrelevant. Vidic and Ferdinand were making so many terrible mistakes that they had become liabilities to the team. People were lenient to them just because of their past honors.

West Ham and Moyes sinking our season is inevitable, it's been destined to happen for ages now (much like Lukaku knocking us out of the Europa League, probably with an assist from Young) - nothing can be done about it, so we may as well go straight into being bitchy about the twat now.

Moyes team is a scary opponent. I still have nightmares about him ruin title number 20 and giving it to City.
We had the game in the bag, but then conceded 2 late goals. Could happen again! At least after this time we will not give him the job to manage us again even if they smash us.

Even if he beats us tomorrow night, he was still a shite appointment who was completely out of his depth in the job. His comments are ridiculous now as they ever were. You need to earn more time, not just be granted it for the sake of it. Moyes could have been in the job for a decade and would probably have cemented us as the mid-table side he spent 9 months turning us in to.

With time Moyes could have done a good job building a new squad though. He has shown to be a better builder than coach. Although building for a midtable side is different than a top one.
I think for a top side coaching is the most important thing. We have seen that with say Pep and how good he has been.

Journalists need to stop asking him about United when his team is facing us. And he needs to just say, "we're focused on beating United" when asked these dumb ass questions

Because he's shite. Mike Phelan's shorts could have been a better ManUnited manager than him.
I agree, should have sacked him even sooner before he got to waste our money. But its absurd to think he'd do us a favour, he probably blames us for almost ruining his career.

I like to bash Jose for his antics, but I never really hate him, just thought his methods are outdated. However this cretin Moyes is constantly talking about United like his ex girlfriend. He needs to get a grip and realise that his level is somewhere around the bottom barrel of PL managers. Him constantly moaning not given time, while his football and attitude getting shitter everyday. I shudder to imagine where the hell United would be if he completed his 6 year contract. We would definitely fighting for the title in Championship so this cretin can say he won his first trophy

Moyes won us the first title post SAF. Show the man some respect! Top manager that failed here.

Yeah we should give him more time to perfect his crossing tactic . Seriously he looked like fish out of water here and since then he managed to fail in every job he got. Just read some news on his approach at Sunderland and you wonder how the feck he did not realise it is all his own fault. Must be really thick or arrogant to think his disastrous time in here is caused by someone else fault.

Wins over a hapless Norwich and Watford and he opens his mouth again. Look at the squads of those bottom five and there is a clear winner in terms of quality.

He will retire one day and historians will look over his career and be absolutely baffled at how he stayed in work for so long after so many failures.

I don’t think there are many managers in world football who could have made a bigger mess than he did in 9 months at United. It’s sad that he still can’t look in the mirror and admit it to himself.

Everyone makes mistakes, the mark of the man is how you get up and grow and learn from them. How anyone can even let him say things like this without challenging him is beyond me.

West Ham is perfect for him, he can continue to live inside his own bubble of complete ignorance.

Almost everyone hates Jose and Van Gaal.
But Moyes is the person that is the most bitter of all our ex-managers after Fergie.
This is the person you should dislike. Feck him. Beat them 8-0.
LVG and Jose were not the successes that we wanted, but at least they tried, and at least they had the personalities that are needed at a club like Utd.

Moyes just didn’t have a clue, couldn’t make a decision, and was weak beyond belief.

I can forgive all of that, as he was a fish out of water and completely unqualified for the job. However, the utter tool, to this day still thinks he should have been given more time, and that he was the right man for the job. He was an utter failure, if he had an ounce of humility, I would bear no grudges, however the way he carries on and keeps talking about the club is an embarrassment.

It’s embarrassing that he was ever out manager.

It’s a shame we couldn’t relegate West Ham with him in charge, that would have balanced out Liverpool winning the league for me.

Appalling manager.

He had bright ideas with Fellaini, but didn't know how to use him. Mourinho and LVG built bigger things on his foundations.
Then different ideas with Mata for some reason. Still helped build foundations for 4 titles under the other two.
Under Ole we got 0 titles so he is the worst of the lot so far in terms of result.
We should keep Ole since he has shown promise and we have no obvious uppgrade, but Moyes given time could do a similar job with more titles.
Just need a new Fellaini and Baines in and Moyes would be ready to go.

Imagine if we'd have given Moyes time...
My guess would mid table playing boring negative shit football, when we lost to West Brom that was my point of no return in wanting him out, gave up any hope of getting champions league football

Ferdinand was in the team of the season the year before Moyes took over. Being the defensive dinosaur that he is he should have been able to at least get one decent year out of Vidic and Ferdinand with Jones, Smalling and Evans as back up. The fact he couldn't with United being defensively terrible and dropping down the table like a lead balloon that year, highlights just how spectacularly Moyes failed at United.

I really hope we stick it to them.

I'd love West Ham to go down. Can't stand them.

Moyes moans about not being given enough time, 6 years?
He wasn't assed about not giving proven winners Phelan, Meulensteen and Steele any time.
Hope we absolutely hammer them. 6-0 would be appropriate revenge for the ludicrous six year contract we gave him.

If we win 7-0 they could find themselves in the relegation zone.
Let’s worry about winning first before relegating West Ham.

Hope we get off to a good start and don’t wait until we behind to start playing. Players need to just put the effort in the next 2 games and the seasons practically done. We can field the reserves for the Europa.

Hmmm spends 70 million on Mata and Fellaini, botches the Tiago deal, Gives an overweight and burnt-out Rooney the biggest wages in history at the time, gives Nani a huge new contract when he needed a fresh start elsewhere, almost ruins the career of Zaha...... And all the while serving up shit on a stick football week in week out

And he has the nerve to compare to Ole who has slowly been able to repair the car crash from the 3 charlatans before him.

Delusional clown who will be sacked halfway through next season at West Ham due to boring everyone to death.

He built one decent team in 11 years at Everton though. That's not exactly a proven record of building new squads.

Moyes actually praises Ole and United a lot in the press conference but the media love to highlight the one sentence to mock him, because it could always elicit responses like the ones happening here and everyone is falling for that.

If the tweet or the title says "Moyes: Ole is doing a really good job", will there be as many retweets or shares as it is right now? No because there is no talking point and no way to tease him that way, which is what people love to do and the media know it.

I just wonder if the West Ham owner will sack him again.

It's great that he got the best out of Antonio but with Haller fit once again I doubt he can get the best out of them playing together.

When I look at their transfers last couple of years only Souček and Bowen look like good buys.

I really don't think they can look forward to the next season with optimism under Moyes.

And the only good buys come from Moyes, instead of those technical, possession-based managers which the West Ham board likes.
