We'll be fine. Leicester need a win and we'll revert to counter attacking and sneak a goal or two. Leicester are without 3 or 4 first team regulars and have been in dire form themselves. Biggest problem is fatigue but we should be able to manage if we give everything ....I think/hope :nervous:

    Whatever

This team hasn't done enough to get Champions League football. If we win great but we've had ample opportunity to avoid this situation.

Zero confidence we will get anything in this game but Ole needs Mctominay's heart and fight for this one and Bruno is done for the season. Push Pogba up, bring McTominay and keep the rest as is.

If we're going to be as bad as today we're in for a long evening. And I don't see this team suddenly playing a great game.

People will call this reactionary but, at this moment, I don't expect to get anything from this game.

Can see us shitting the bed on Sunday. Unless we start quick and get a goal early on to settle the nerves which is unlikely going off recent games then it will be a very long 90 minutes. One things for sure this arsing about at the back has to stop, our defence clearly isn’t capable of playing out so don’t bother it just invites unnecessary pressure. West Ham the fecking exact opposite of a pressing side even started going at us when they seen De Gea and co. Passing back and forth in our box for about 5 minutes. :houllier:

Vardy running off the shoulder vs Lindelof and Maguire for 90 mins. What can go wrong.
Martial, Greenwood and Rashford running off 36 year old Wes Morgan for 90 minutes. What can go wrong?

Thankfully for us that it's a situation that is perfect for us counter attacking a defence with a lot of injuries. Need Ole to make a big decision though, and drop Pogba and Matic. Pogba because he's shite, Matic because he can't play multiple games a week and probably wouldn't suit the tactic. Bring in McTominay and Fred to play behind Bruno, get the workhorses in there. James as well, since we need some freshness there and i worry for Greenwood after the minutes. Hoping Shaw is fit.

    De Gea
    Wan Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    McTominay Fred
    James Bruno Rashford
    Martial

Thats how we should start. But we'll start with a completely same team as today.

Come on United, one last push!!

Truth be told, the dynamic is different now we are the ones defending a league position, some of that pressure will be transferred from Leicester to us so am expecting Leicester to play with more purpose and less burden.

I'm going to be a little pessimistic, I don't see how we get anything from this game. United look like their season is over, the team have no legs left and can barely play for an hour without getting swamped. Leicester have had a full 7 days rest for this, they will be fresh and determined to get the result they need. We are going to get ran off the park next week and think we will lose the match.

I think we will go for something like this:

    DDG
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Williams
    Pogba Matic Bruno
    Greenwood Martial Rashford
The detail that we can use to our favour is that Leicester must win, because of this, at some point they must go chasing the match and we can perhaps expose that. I would personally drop Bruno for McTominay or Fred because Bruno looks like he would be lucky to last 10 min at the moment. Don't commit full backs too far forward, this isn't about defending a 0 0 but about being sensible in our positioning when we lose the ball.

As I said, I think a fresher Leicester will run our exhausted United team into the ground and will get a win against us.

I think we have to go with a midfield diamond - Fred, McT, Matic and Bruno.

Matic at the base sweeping up with Fred and McT in front providing energy.

I’d even potentially just go with Martial and Greenwood as a front 2.

This should be dubbed OGS’s first cup final, because the stakes are literally that. This is the Europa League Final without the big vase to raise at the end of it. He has to get this right or there rightfully should be questions asked. It’s well and good if you can turn it on under no pressure but when you wilt under pressure and expectations, then it’s not the receipe for success. It’s like the 5-10 years of Wengers Arsenal. Amazing when nothings expected but fall to pieces when somethings at stake.

Good managers get their teams out of a bad performance or two with a good performance.

This is a legitimate test for him.

We need to play on the counter like Spurs did vs Leicester and we did vs Mancity. They will be chasing everything and we will get space behind their midfielders.

I am confident we will atleast get a draw. Only change Fred for Matic

Bruno too tired to pass them the ball properly and Pogba doing another disappearing act.
Good job Maddison has literally disappeared along with Chilwell then. Looks like no one will score and we still get top 4. Thanks for the assurance!

Ole will play for a draw like today and get beat. I can see it from a mile off.

Leicester have 3 days of extra rest compared to us who look like incapable of running.

Think the job is done tbh. Leicester aren't all that and can't sit back. They have to attack which will leave space for Rashford, Martial and Greenwood to punish.
    100% agree
This game suits us better than the previous 8

I hope that when I see pictures of Phil Jones' screwed up face at the final whistle when the Caf servers have gone into meltdown we'll be celebrating a top 4 spot. I fail to see how we're going to suddenly play well for this game but we could still nick a win or draw.

I think we will have to rely on Chelsea losing both their remaining games as we are 100% losing against Leicester.

Martial, Rashford and Greenwood vs 32 year old Jonny Evans and 36 year old Wes Morgan. I mean it does work both ways.

I have zero confidence playing against any team that has a few more days to rest, let alone team that is our direct rival. We have not been able to beat a team that has nothing to play for.

In all reality, unless we were going to thrash West Ham by several goals, there isn’t really any real difference between a win and a draw tonight. Both scenarios, one or three points bs Leicester would seal it.
