Anything else is a bonus. However as we are in an unprecedented situation with the next season starting so quickly, I am sure the club will have to make some sacrifices.

No need to cancel the League Cup, it tends to be quite entertaining. However, I don't wanna hear any sanctimonious crap from the pundits if we play Laird, Mengi, Garner in it.The rumour was a few weeks back that clubs taking part in European competitions would not play in the League Cup next season.
That's the absolute minimum that has to happen. Ideally, there would be no League Cup at all, or at least the Premier League clubs should be exempt from it en masse.

I get the sentiment but City's squad is already much deeper than ours, also they will respond to Liverpool winning the title by spending whatever they need to to strengthen it.
