He doesn’t play on the right often but he has done in the past. City had Sane, Sterling, Foden, Mahrez and B Silva just for their wide positions this season. If you’re going seriously to win every competition then they all get game time.
Sane barely even play this season. What's the different with having Martial, Rashford, Sancho, Greenwood and James for wide position to that anyway? May be if we have arab money, would love to be realistic getting Grealish.

It’s not the same as Sancho because Grealish has played all over central midfield in his career too. If one of Bruno or Pogba is injured and you want more craft against low block sides then Grealish can cover them. If you want to play 4-3-3 he can play as an 8 in that formation too.
You used excuse of Grealish did it in the past despite of not being proven enough to play on the right. This season, Sancho played as a starter 8x in a no 10 role and scored 7 goals and 2 assists. That's a very impressive stats.

Again, like I said before, this will depend on Grealish himself. I know it's hard to accept but the reality is that if his ambition is to be in England squad for Euro, he wouldn't favour ourself as the best choice if teams like Arsenal, Liverpool & Spurs are also in for him. He can get triple games time in there than with us.

I have this sneaking suspicion he'll replace Sylva at City. Nothing based on nothing, obviously.

We need to see City depth as a real blueprint for success. Bruno gets hurt we are fecked. Honestly I'm surprised he wasnt targeted more by opposition players.

Starting to feel the same way. Obviously Villa staying up can change things drastically in terms of him leaving or staying, but I have a feeling that there is an agreement between Villa and Grealish that he'll leave this summer. And he makes perfect sense as a Silva replacement. As I've said before though, I would love to have him here, I think he's versatile enough to back up multiple positions here, and talented enough to win a starting spot in our XI.

In the league... Chelsea.
Im not sure. Maybe in numbers but our first 11 makes us overall have better quality. Yes Pedro trumps James.. but overall our attackers are better than there’s. I think it’s the same all over the squad. But yeah your probably right.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
Who has better squad depth than us except City?
I’d argue Chelsea and Spurs definitely have better attacking depth than us. Even Leicester without Maddison had Barnes, Perez and Gray to bring on. Wolves have Traore starting on the bench quite a bit too. Who on our bench can we bring on to change a game if we’re behind? Ighalo and James, neither of which have shown they’re exactly game changers.

Apparently this deal has been wrapped up since February so I expect it to be announced very soon once things have settled.

I’m not fussed or sold on him. I think we can get Brooks for half the price. I think even Real would let us have James Rodriguez for £20m-£25m, and he’s a top quality 10.

To City or us? Cause there’s been rumours we’ve had a deal wrapped up for ages as well.

Lingard and Ighalo I would argue would get into all those teams except Chelsea instead of the players you would consider their squad players.

Oh ok. Yeah I’ve heard that. Was wondering if there was a similar rumour regarding City.
Na not that i’ve heard. But family members of his and people close to him seem to all think it’s done.

Surely there's every chance he stays put now? Being a Villa fan and all?

Would be a brave move to go now.

If United gets him, people will be shocked when seeing how good he is. I don’t think there is any player better at receiving the ball, setting tempo and distributing quickly/correctly in the Premier League. And to the ones questioning his attitude, it’s no problem at all. He is older now, he’s not going to be pissed in the streets of Rhodos anymore. My only fear is that City sees him as the replacement for David Silva and we talk about what ifs next season. He’s not some Ashley Young-type, he’s much better

Well Lingard is available this summer by all accounts...let’s see if the likes of Spurs and Leicester are after him. I’m thinking definitely not. Ighalo might make the Spurs bench in fairness, not sure who else they have as a backup striker.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time

Curious where you got those stats for Sancho. According to transfermarkt he played there 12 times (although three were as a late sub). He scored a hattrick in one of those games but otherwise only got one goal and 2 assists, which is a fair drop from the numbers he was putting up on the wings.

If he’s serious about going right to the top, he can’t do it with Villa. I think Villa used their ‘just one more season’ card for this season just gone too and his goal today has literally kept them up. I think he’ll see that at fair reason to move on.

Should we be spending 60m plus on a player who isn't even a guaranteed starter for us?

He's English, PL proven, young, plays at a position we need depth at and more importantly, good.

Ole will definitely wanna get signed him up. And rightly so.

There should be no guaranteed starters. Grealish has the ability to potentially play himself into the starting XI. Those are players we should be targeting.
Yeah just a question...... He's better than a lot of players we have.

Personally I would prefer a new starting DM n CB over another attacking mid.

Jack Grealish won more fouls (167) during the 2019/20 Premier League season than has ever been previously recorded in a single campaign in the competition.

I think we'll get a CB and then a DM the season after next.

As for an attacking midfielder, next season we'll have loads of games, where we'll find ourselves in the same situation we've been in of late with very tired players. When Bruno is knackered next season, who would you bring in for him?
