Finally this abomination of a club is down. They had it coming. Been run terribly for few years and they do nothing but sacking on managers and managers as if it's going to solve them everything. The last sacking was ridiculous.

Depends.

Their squad should be good enough for championship and Deeney belongs in the championship.
Harsh on Deeney, he's a physical footballer who's made the most of his ability.

Like others have said though, sacking your manager in the way they did meant they won't be missed.

This looks like a stupid decision. Had Pearson gone rogue? Did he threaten to beat the chairman up? I can't think what would have caused this otherwise.
Keane was right. Why they hire one of the coaches? They should have got a new voice in.

Watford need to be relegated, their constant managerial changes are a joke
Yes. They had good managers in the past but their work had been somewhat disregarded by the people who lead the club. At some point their strategy of managerial carousel had to fail.

I have a feeling Watford won't be back in the Premier League for a while

Not sure. Even if they sell likes of Sarr, Pererya, Doucoure I think they've got a decent core of Foster in goal, Dawson at the back and likes of Will Hughes in midfield. Doubt anyone's paying big money for Deeney now and Welbeck has been injured for half the season so any prem club would be mad to pay money and sign him but that's two decent strikers to get them back up, also got Andre Gray who's been prolific in that league.

It's a lot better squad even with a few departures than what Bournemouth and Norwich will probably produce.

I'd be surprised if they're not top 2 tbh. Pretty sure the year they went up they burned through about 4 managers aswell.

When you look at the managers records btw this season....

Gracia, won 0 of the first 4 games.

Quique, won 1 of his 10 games.

Hayden Mullins, won 0 of his 4 games.

In half a season they won 1 game.

Pearson won 7 out of 21 so really they would've been by Norwich without his effort this season. He certainly should've got their final two games. Re-appointing Quique Sanchez Flores relegated Watford as they had some winnable home games under him they didn't win.

It’s not harsh. He barely can move now and Watford forums all want him gone. They should have played Welbeck more up front.

I don’t think they’d have stayed up with him. They’re probably the worst side in the league given the resources and players they have. The toxic environment created by the owners has finally resulted in relegation.

Pearson did as well as he could though as they were a definite goner before he came in and he managed to drag them into a place of almost. He will probably get another job.

Pearson wouldn't have got anything from either of the final games.

Apparently they missed a lot of chances today. Going down 3-0 does not help. But it wasn’t impossible for them to have got something today against Arsenal team who had one eye on cup final.

Just strange they didn’t have somebody lined up when they got rid of Pearson.

Glad to see them down, and hope my other boys Wycombe turn them over next season :)

They can and probably will sell Sarr, Docoure and Deulofeu but that's it.

Deeney won’t have much time for media commitments next season with all those games in the championship

The deserved to stay up for beating Liverpool, but deserved to go down for sacking Pearson.

Bloody hell thats mental.

Adds more to the rumours that he decked a player, rather than it being performance related.

Can’t understand people rating Deeney. He was barely PL quality at his peak. It’s genuinely hard to remember goals which weren’t penalties. The few that weren’t bobbled to him about 2 yards out.

He is a leader at the club now after so many years, but he is basically immobile now. No manager has any security to make big decisions there though.

When Garcia got sacked just after 4 games of the season, the Ole out brigade said "We have a lower standard than Watford".

Why did you never learn from the Sunderland's collapse? Sacking a manager is not a standard for the club's ambition, it would made the squad unstable.
