Sancho is referencing Nike in his tagline with Rashford.

We are sponsored by Adidas.

City are sponsored by Nike :nervous:
City are about to sign Ferran Torres, even for them adding Sancho would be overkill :p

Well it was a synchronized pr stunt that was posted by both Rashford and Sancho on their respective accounts at the same time. With England shirt and Nike sponsoring the statement.

You could claim that this was a random PR opportunity initiated by Nike that just happened to pick them because they are both young black athletes on the team and especially Rashford has been in the media a lot for positive things lately.

A muppet would say this stunt was initiated by United together with Sancho as a way to fire back at Dortmund's media campaign. Essentially Sancho tired of Dortmund dragging it out and asking to leave without officially putting in a transfer request. :wenger::angel:

What I mean is, Sancho and Nike etc clearly know all about the speculation right now.

If they wanted to avoid any extra noise they could have just picked Sancho in an England shirt by himself, why did Rashford need to be there?

They're clearly playing up to it, and for Sancho's management it'll be great proof of the media power United has. I bet his engagements have gone SKY HIGH since the start of the window.

Or most likely, Nike's marketing team taking advantage of the situation to get some additional engagements.

The campaign is about being on the same team (against racism/bullying et al), how would it make sense for Sancho to be alone on the picture.
And as said, Rashford posted the same pictures.

Muppet season truly on, the banter between fans of Dortmund and us, the cryptic social media messages.
All we need now is him putting his house in Dortmund for sale, someone in London office watching activities and checking when the NYSE will open.
@ChaddyP and @VanGaalEra am not feeling you guys this window.
I've already whipped out my flight tracker app.

Yeah i'm not stupid I can see that. So you don't think the timing of this is suspicious?

If that was Pogba standing next to a Juve or Madrid player people would be going crazy by now.

When does our deal with Adidas expire? Perhaps we’ll be going back to Nike as well. Maybe they’ll help pay some of Sancho’s fee, wasn’t that a rumor back in the day that Nike would do for us if we signed a mid fielder? I can’t remember who now, I’m pretty sure he was Dutch so Sneijder maybe? I doubt there was any truth to that anyways. Sorry for the rambling, I’m just so excited!

That's not even subtle, it is fecking on like King Kong.

Don't forget to prepare your credit cards for a Sancho shirt. Got to pay that fee somehow.

We all love United
I hate to burst the bubble but the reference is more likely to them being England teammates and the national team are sponsored by Nike? Would love it to be United related though

We're in transfer muppet season, huge rumours swirling around about us signing Sancho, both Rashford (who i think plays for us?) tweets a message about playing on the same team showing a pic of Sancho,...then to top it off Sancho essentially uses the same pic and same message??!...context!

Adidas did the same thing when Pogba signed for United. They're starting up the band to get some serious advertising with Sancho over the next few weeks.
