Poch almost won the CL with a weaker team 12 months back and he has never won any trophy.

CL is a cup competition and we are quite good at those (as we saw with our runs this year as well).

Winning the league is a much harder proposition for us next season.
Exactly and so we should stick with Ole and reap the benefits of stability and progress as opposed to trying out something new again with a manager who hasn't delivered trophies in the past and hence has no guarantees for success. It will be foolish, if not downright naive for the board to sack Ole and hire Poch now.

I rate Havertz as high as any other player, IMO he is on Sancho's and Haaland's tier. I dont see how he doesnt become a huge success for Chelsea and Im surprised Chelsea has had a free run at him.

I think his situation is similar to us with Sancho, covid has stop other teams to enter the race luckily for us or we wouldny had got a chance with Bayern and the spanish teams in the race.

I do think Havertz is a great player to get at a good age; he fits the mould of what Ole is trying to build; direct, forward looking and dynamic. If he is now available for cut-price I don't see why Chelsea should be allowed a free run at him especially if we need to pay around the same amount to get Jack Grealish. I rather we sign Kai than Jack.

I do not want this to happen. Havertz is a stunning talent. He will be just as good as Bruno in a year or two.

Werner
Pulisic Havertz Ziyech

That's an impressive front 4.

Thankfully ours is still better and if we sign Sancho we'll improve even further.

I think he's too good to play second fiddle to Bruno. An absolutely elite talent. I hate that Chelsea are getting this guy.

When I visit this forum I see a lot of hate for Rashford. I rate him but you guys have messed him around as much as Phil Jones. Neither have a definitive position. I still feel he plays as a striker playing out wide as opposed to an actual inverted winger (Anelka type) but when he plays up front he doesn’t seem to have that killer finish.

Martial gets a lot of penalties but isn’t quite a number 9 either. He is probably a better LW than Rashford.

So you are saying a team without an actual out-out striker and one without a RW is better than the line up you gave? Bruno I’ll let you have that one but I just don’t see it. You definitely have a frightening counter attack team but it’ll never dominate a team like Ronaldo-Rooney-Tevez did.

but hey-ho let’s see next season.

I'm not sure if you watched much of United this season. Martial is very good 9 and Rashford is very good left wing forward.

I don't know which team will be better as we have to see how Chelsea players will adapt to league, new team, new manager but saying Rashford doesn't have position or we don't have 9 just shows you probably didn't watch our games at all.

To be honest your analysis is pretty inaccurate. Makes sense that its coming from a non united supporter. I think you'll do well next season. I like what you're building. But don't let one cup game against a rested side confuse you. Our best 11 spanks yours every time. Sancho would just accentuate that.

Rumours Chelsea’s director of football? Marina has been asking German agents for weaknesses she can exploit in Leverkusens hierarchy in order to drive the asking price down.

I thought Petr Cech was their director?
Nope, Cech is a performance & technical advisor - vague title but he seems to be more or less key to ensuring everyone is on the same page & there is synergy between Lampard and Marina.

Marina Granovskaia is the director - she's brilliant and an absolutely massive asset for Chelsea.

Werner himself is not a true striker in the sense of it. I'd wager that Martial has better hold up play than Werner although the lather is a better finisher.

Martial has played like a genuine center forward this season.
I believe most neutral fans will take Rashford / Martial / Bruno / Sancho over Pulisic/Werner/Havertz/Ziyech but I might be wrong, what do I know

To be honest I am a tad confused why we are going to play Werner top. He is best as a left forward because he does not have to worry about holding the ball up, instead he can use his blistering pace as a left forward cutting inside. Lets wait and see but I think its a mistake to play him as ST.

I 100% can see Giroud continuing to prove his worth next season. He'll start on the sidelines again and will prove Lampard wrong again. Giroud is actually going to be perfect for someone like Werner

Remains to be seen how Chelsea actually set-up. 433 or 352. 352 would allow a Werner Giroud partnership.

Absolutely spot on. I wish there was some way a mod would pin my analysis on the player, so people like that dont
speak nonsense for the sake of commenting.
I follow bundesliga And serie a religiously. Leverkusen And Dortmund games especially in the bundesliga. No need to throw crap on the wall like you have with your comments mate.

Actually going to go ahead and ignore you because youre out of your depth and just arguing for the sake of it.

What a fraud, caught with pants down. Copying articles from few sites and posting them as own posts and then come up with cringeworthy "mod should pin my analysis".

Sure thing, here you go!

Kai Havertz is a player with a high football IQ. I know many players get considered intelligent because they behave well under pressure, but Havertz is different. His actions do make sense all the time and give his team much-needed solutions in possession. The young German combines all types of passes with good off-ball movement and extraordinary behaviour under pressure. No matter if his team needs through balls, long balls to switch sides or quick one-touch passes in tight spaces. Kai Havertz offers all those passes.

When Bayer Leverkusen had problems with injuries, Kai Havertz had to play as a central midfielder. While Leverkusen struggled Havertz was one of the better players an unfamiliar position. From a technical standpoint Kai Havertz doesn’t seem to be the perfect offensive midfielder. Especially, his first touch isn’t always the best. But he is capable of quickly controlling and protecting the ball afterwards. His second touch is always pretty good and allows him to dribble past the opponent or play the dangerous pass. Furthermore, he can play accurate passes even without having the best body position. Havertz not only plays the simple flat through balls during counter-attacks. His good observation of the game allows him to see the open space and be aware of the movement of the defenders. Besides his passing abilities, Havertz shows that he can be a dangerous offensive player who can surprise a defence when they are concentrating on the striker. Havertz shows great awareness of holes in the defence. That’s why he is so dangerous after crosses. The fact that he often appears in the right spot at the right time is a positive sign and a clear indicator of his high football IQ. The technical execution is trainable easily, however, learning how and when to arrive in the box is harder. His timing when starting runs is really impressive and defenders normally struggle to defend those situations, especially if the striker waits in the right spot, the defender has to observe the ball and the striker simultaneously. Problems occur when the striker is positioned behind the defender because then the defender can only react to the movement. It is impossible to observe both, the ball and his opponent, at the same time. Using that advantage correctly, Havertz time after time arrives in the dangerous space while the defender often cannot adjust his position quickly enough to cover the midfield run. Funnily enough, Lampard is the closest midfielder I can think of who has utilized this to perfection.

No matter which position Kai Havertz plays, the fact that he rarely struggles under pressure makes him so valuable for his team. Although Havertz has great technical abilities his dribblings look sometimes inaccurate but are highly effective. His biggest strength is his usage of open space. When a defender pushes out of position Havertz has a great timing of pushing the ball into the open space and therefore unbalance the defender. That’s why he often gets fouled.

The original plastic team are splashing the cash and getting decent players in. Always will come with an asterisk whatever they achieve. They are not known as the Rentboys for nothing. Plastic fantastic.

I am really wondering how Frank is going to fit all those 3 in the same team effectivly.

Sometimes it feels like you bought Werner and Havertz just because you could (and who wouldnt), but dont you think it will take the better part of season to make the most of them together?

Since they all are good enough to be in the starting line-up , while none of them are PL proven, I could see that it will take a while before they all integrate properly.

Havertz is great. Good buisness from Chelsea here. Werner and Havertz..puh, not bad, to say it reserved. I don't rate Werner so much, but Havertz is the real deal.

If he plays Havertz as a second striker, it could work. Havertz' hold up play with his back to goal is quite good and he's strong in the air. He played that role quite a lot for us and his general profilr isn't that much different to Schick's.

But I think Werner as a ST can work out as long as it's a fluid system. Especially if he makes a run on the wing and you have players that are good at utilizing the space he leaves open in the center, this can be lethal.

I watch both leagues regularely and without any bias I would say it is even. IF I had to decide for one, I would take Chelsea`s. Imo Pulisic > Rashford, Werner > Martial, Bruno = Havertz, Sancho > Ziyech.

In what world is Pulisic better than Rashford? And you are not the only one watching both leagues.
What we know for a fact is that Rashford has been better than Pulisic by a wide margin this season and Martial has been successfull as a centre foward , same cannot be said of werner who has played as a Wide forward.

Wow at the guy copying stuff from articles and demanding it to be pinned as his analysis:lol: Too bad he`s banned, would`ve liked to see him defending that. That`s actually worse than the "I`m going to guess at a timeline" guy.

Has there been news if Leverkusen want Havertz to play in the EL in august? Or refuse to sell him before?

Don't be so hard on that guy, it takes effort and time to research. Although he should not have copied word for word blatantly. Could have rewritten it. Still funny though.

In my world Pulisic is and will be the better player. Statswise per minute , Rashford is slightly better, but he took 6 pentalties too. I am not forcing you to agree with me, based on what I have seen from Pulisic in Dortmund and Chelsea, I would take him over Rashford. I am a huge fan of how Martial has developed and transitioned into the 9 position, but Werner is for me the better striker. If you would have watched him regularely , then you would knew he primarely played as a CF , which is his best position. He already played this position during his time in Stuttgart and under Hasenhüttel in Leipzig starting in season 16/17 with an impressive record of 21 goals. While Martial has been a successful CF , Werner also has been a successful CFfor 4-5 years already. Leipzig playingwith 2 strikers sometimes doesn't change the fact that Werner is a experienced CF.
