Clear to see that Lampard doesn't like him. A bit worrying that they'll be entering the market for a new keeper at the same time when we might be due to De Gea's loss in form.
When fullbacks are gash playing in a 4 makes a lot of sense. Guess Conte made it fashionable again, really works much better on left side usually, got cover for when Alonso loses position and he's actually decent going forward.
Don't know why Luiz gets all the hate, we conceded 36 goals a season on average 3 seasons prior with him key part of our defence and he's great as CB in a 5. One of best CB passers from deep I've ever seen.

We more or less have to play with 3 CBs to account for the loss of Kante; in possession though it'll be a 4-3-3 with James moving into central midfield and Azpi moving wide right. At least this is what we did against you and Wolves.

I'm sure that there are ways of making it work and no doubt both Lampard and Arteta will have drilled their players into knowing how to play this formation. As you say, the fullbacks are important in this system. Just not my cup of tea. Hoping for a good game for the neutral and can't really call it either way.
