Again, we'll never find out cos he's no where near the level of McGregor or the guys he fights.
McGregor can, and will, take his pick of any of the top fighters and this guy will be no where near that list and rightfully so.
He's using McGregor's name to be relevant, yet most people in this thread go mad when McGregor does anything similar to this.
I suspect we will know soon since he is being fast tracked up very quickly. Dana and the UFC know a star in the making when they see one.
No-one knows what McGregor's standard is right now, its been so long since he delivered a commanding performance against serious opposition. I think McGregors is a busted flush and will get Khabib style embarrassed next time he fights another top 5 fighter and also Chimaev.

On the evidence of these 2 fights, and the hype its created, Chimaev looks ferocious and on the way up. He has made many new admirers since his double act; I'm hooked, and will be following him as a fighter from here on!

Agreed. He has a very high ceiling and his hype will continue to grow until someone beats him.

Dan Hardy is a dickhead and Herb Dean explained it perfectly. Two people can tell him to stop the fight. The cornerman and the doctor. It’s an absolute farce that Hardy was mouthing off to Dean who has more experience than anyone when it comes to refereeing.

I'm not disputing how good or bad McGregor may be just that the fight will never happen.

Love how this guy fights 2 bums and is the best thing since sliced bread though. He's literally fought no one anywhere near a decent level of ufc fighter

I actually agree with this. He looks good but so did the likes of Thomas Almeida until they moved up in competition.

This guy does look impressive but needs to prove it at higher level first.

not many well known names it seems today. Apart from the main fight, any other interesting fight to look up for?

A never-nude? I thought he just liked cut-offs.
Trevin Giles fainted backstage and the fight with Holland is off. feck!!!
Scary shit. On the one hand you hope it is 'just' anxiety and not some serious physical health issue, but at the same time it'll be a long road back for him career-wise if he has suffered that badly with a panic attack.

Herb is a magnet to polemics... at the end of the 2nd, shabazyan was already knocked out

I think herb thought he was giving him the time to recover with the break between rounds. shahbazyan did stand up right away after the bell. He called in a doctor also. Then he stopped the fight before the kids took too much more damage. Maybe he could have stopped it at the initial stage but he did the right thing in the end I reckon.

Yeah I'm not blaming him, i think he made the right call at the end but the gesture waving the hand for one sec i thought "oh he ended it" but righr away "what? So it's still going on?". Shahbazyan didn't cover for at least 2 punches, he was out. Imagine if by any chance he ended up winninf the fight in the 3rd round, that would had been another sh*t storm for herb all over again

Anyway. Too bad the Shahba train derailed, but he's got talent and for sure he is one to watch in the future

I was thinking this exact thing when it was happening.

I agree with wanting Cody to get KO'd but let's be honest, there was no line to jump!
Any ranked FW with at least a win at the weight class deserved it more than Cody, who has lost 3 fights by KO of his last 4 fights.

But feck it. I guess the silver lining is that Cody will bring more eyes to the division and the God of War if he can KO him.

Pumped for Chandler X Henderson tonight!! Have been going back and forth on the pick. First I thought ''Well, Chandler is motivated by free agency, he's going out there and finishing this fight'' But if he can't finish it ? Henderson is much more likely to win a decision.

Also, obviously curious to see how Weidman looks in his middleweight return tomorrow. Apparently, his opponent is a decision machine, so, if he gets KO'd by that dude, time to get out of the game.

And, think a lighter and faster black beast (Lewis) will destroy Oleinik in the stand-up.

About flyweight, nobody outside of their families and close friends, care about Brandon Moreno, Askarov or Alex Perez right now (we may care down the line) so, makes sense to put Cody in there.

He weighted in at 265

There is no way he wasn't just eating Popeye's during the whole pandemic.
