Just my predictions (can see him there) because someone asked where he could go next year. He has to be crazy to stay at Arsenal but who could pay his wages though.
How much would he cost do you think?

Maybe Madrid would want him to replace Benzema?

I think when we were linked with him befor he joined Arsenal I was dismissive because of his age, how wrong I was, arguably the best striker in the league. Arsenal's best piece of business this summer will be keeping hold of him.

29 goals in a team with very low creativity is a pretty good return. I think the chances of him staying are 60/40, the money side will be taken care of and he'll definitely get his 250k. but He might not only want FA Cups though and the next 2/3 years are going to be painful unless we get some unusual financial backing.

He wants a 3 yrs extension. He's 31 already.

He's the best finisher in the Premier League today. A three-year deal is reasonable.
Unless injuries catch up, he easily has two more years of top-quality football.

I can still see him scoring 30+ at age 34, I'd take him at Old Trafford, but it's not going to happen.

Where would he play for us? Ahead of Rashford on the left or ahead of Martial through the middle?

This is a tricky situation for Arsenal and Aubamayeng. Giving a 350k contract to Aubamayeng, already 29, puts them at serious risk of him underperforming given his age and therefore having to continue to pay him because other clubs would not want to give Aubamayeng the same contract (essentially an Ozil situation over again). Maybe they can give him a short term high wage contract, something like 350k for 2-3 years, as he would likely still play a high level for the next season, and prepare Martinelli to take over when it expires. You can get value out of him without running to risk of carrying his wages beyond his decline period.

Aubamayeng himself should be more ambitious though given that he still hasn't won a league trophy and most likely won't if he stays at Arsenal. Atmost they will target a top 4 finish but going for the title is far beyond them for the near future. While none of the traditional big clubs today might be interested, I can imagine AC Milan wanting a new striker since they currently have only Ibra, and they would have a better chance of winning the Serie A than Arsenal would.

Fantastic finisher but I still think he offers little else to a team and that's what puts off or has put off potential suitors in the past.

Top teams need 11 players capable of putting in a shift, you can't carry one man in the off chance it might break to him. He needs more to his game and it's a little too late for him to adapt to a system that doesn't suit his style.

Two fantastic goals yesterday though and also in the Semifinal, I've seen him look invisible so many times though.

Oh yea that's true. Bugger. Less of a reason to give him a massive multi year (more than 2) contract.

If Arsenal can get something like 20 ME for him (along with a lower wage bill), then they should try and strengthen the squad with that money and continue with Lacazette-Martinelli. I like Laca and think he can score 20+ goals if given a chance consistently, Martinelli is young but can develop given the minutes.

It's certainly a tough choice for Arsenal. Aubamayeng is clearly their best player, but really old and would obviously want more than 2 years on a high wage contract to secure himself financially, that would be high risk for Arsenal.

He's the only player keeping Arsenal remotely relevant, I'd be surprised if a cheeky bid didn't come in for him.

Yeah very tricky situation for Arsenal. He has 1 year left on contract, obviously he would command huge wages and length of the contract will be a problem, on the other hand they cant afford to lose him. He is their best player by a mile and also they won't be getting huge fee either due to age, wages, length of contract and covid financial difficulty.

The best situation for Arsenal would be a 2 year 350k contract. For the next two years you can continue to play Auba-Laca with Martinelli developing with continuous minutes. After 2 years when Auba would probably not be at the same high level, he can go for free and Martinelli would be immediately ready to take over and be their lead striker.

Ofcourse, if Auba continues to play amazing at 33 (like Lewandowski and Benzema have shown), then he can get an extension.

Yeah but Auba should agree to 2 year extension, that would be the problem.

He has one year left still taking him to the end of the 20/21 season. I think unless something approaching £50m+ comes in for him, then it's probably more financially viable keeping him for a year. He's basically our only hope of getting top 4. Arsenal created 48 chances this season. For comparison Watford 45, Southampton 49, Burnley 53, West Ham 54, Sheffield 60. Scoring that many goals in this Arsenal team is incredible. If we add a bit of creativity next year I think he could comfortable reach 30 in the league.

He's not asking nor are we offering him 350k. The figures thrown around are 250k with bonuses wich is a 50/70k raise on his current contract.

I marvel that there are people who still doubt his quality.
Last year in here you had a transfer thread named Aubameyang yay or nay? It was very clear he was underrated with comments like "he is so meh", "I rather take Lacazette" etc. I even got jumped on by a few posters when I suggested he is a clinical striker.

I'm sure he still has his doubters, even if he keeps banging the goals in, year after year.

He's world class, the elephant in the room is his age obviously with him being somewhat pace-reliant but he'd improve any squad

He’s going to cost any club around £80m to buy him and pay him for 3 years.

£250k per week and a £40m transfer fee, that’s a lot of money in this environment. I think he’s too expensive for anyone to buy this summer.

Yeah that is a valid concern. That is why I could understand those who didn't want him because of those reasons.

Sure he scores a lot but he misses a lot aswell - he's similar to Lukaku in that way.
And let's not forget it was his miss that ended Arsenal's Europa League journey this season.

And Charlie Nicholas apparently wrote that there only are 2 better clubs in England for Aubameyang right now - Liverpool and City. He apparently thinks that Arsenal are better than United.

OMG! :)

People who said no may also justify saying Martial has stepped up for the 9 role.
This season Auba has 29 goals + 3 assists in 3725 mins
Martial has 23 goals + 11 assists in 3356 mins

In PL
Auba has 22 goals + 3 assists in 3139 mins (20 from open play)
Martial has 17 goals + 6 assists in 2640 mins

So even if the option is given, I would go with No. Not because Auba is bad player, obviously he is very good player but we have Marital who contributes to as many goals, younger, will be on lesser wages and we don't have to pay 50-60 million for 31 year old player.

Also I rate Martial as more complete player than Auba.

that was a straight swop, whereby Arsenal were as stupid as as in thinking they'd got a bargain
Sanchez was available on a free, so the fact that the club got a player for him was good business.

However it just so happens that both players have been crap for their respective clubs. That swap deal was a waste of everybody's time (apart from the agents).

I think that's more that only 2 clubs will challenge for the title.

Although there's an argument that Chelsea and Man Utd will both push Liverpool and City next year.
