Jesus, no wonder Jose went so grey so fast at United. Think of him coming up with all the combinations for the 7 CBs we had at the club under him.

Why are people complaining about the fee? Transfermarkt values Sancho at £105m. We are basically paying his value in the current market. We've also sold Sanchez and Sancho will be on less money than he was! He's also 20 years old..

This is fantastic business by United. Sensational. Sir Alex will approve.

I personally don't think it is a good signing. If it happens. Not that he is bad player. He is a very good one. But we can't be signing him and then expecting to sign few more squad players we actually need. For the sake of team I think we should be looking at other players when you think about the money he would cost us. We need right players, not "star" player that takes whole budget.

Thank you glazers, Woodward and the rest of the board of this move goes though.

We have continuously broken the transfer records for defenders, midfielder and attackers in less than five years post Sir Alex. Now we just need a manager that can reap the benefits of these significant investment.

Even though, Sancho is a world class player that will improve our already lethal attack, I would have used our funds differently especially if we have a budget of £100m - £150m. Other areas of our team needs to be addressed with quality backup and perhaps even starters depending on questions mark put Matic and Linderlof
Looks like Sancho deal will be paid in installments £60 mill this year. With some outgoings Sanchéz, Smalling and perhaps one or two more. It’s safe to say Sancho won’t be the only signing.

We probably have another £70 Mill to spend after the Sancho deal. Especially with Sanchéz wages off the book. I guess we’ll sign at least one CB and a CM this window too.

It won’t be a problem finding a backup CB and a CM for that amount anyway.

Keep seeing posters talking about our front three next season and listing Rashford as the CF as an option...that won't happen, not how god-awful he was there when Martial was out

The way I see it is a straight fight between Rashford, Greenwood and Sancho for the two wide forward positions. With Sancho being the expensive new poster boy signing and Mason looking un-droppable, I'd say Rashford needs to be nervous...

That being said, there are plenty of games for all four of them, especially with CL
Not really.

Get out. You're not a United fan if you're not excited about this signing. It oozes Manchester United and Sir Alex.

There was no Pogba no Martial no Bruno and limited Greenwood at that point though , he was relying on the likes of Lingard and James and Pereira for creativity.

Of course he struggled! Anybody would.

So is he the kind of player that will be impossible to disposses with his finesse and low centre of gravity? Mixed with great playmaking and finishing?

Pogba for me, hysterical hype on that signing.

Pogba, of course. My bad! I think Sancho is going to rip it up straight away. He already knows manchester and the lads from the England setup. we have a really tasty team on paper now. get a young DM like tonali camavinga or rice to take over from matic and it actually looks like one of my fm saves. Young potential galacticos are the way to go

We've not had star quality on the right side of attack for yonks now. We've tried to shoehorn central players in there, we've tried cheap punts from the league below. We've recently had success putting Greenwood there.

But to add an actual wonderkid there, with potential to tie that position up for the forseeable future is a superb signing.

You can't always get the pieces of the puzzle together when you want, so when one is available you have to pounce.

I'll be honest, outside of a few England games I haven't seen much of Sancho. He was pretty good in the England games and his stats are fantastic.

Nice to see people excited on here though, bit of positivity on the Caf is much needed.

United is run by competent business men. If they think Sancho is worth whatever we are paying and that we can afford it, I don't care what is the amount we are paying.

This is probably the biggest talent ( bar Martial) we have signed after Rooney. Not sure how people can complain about this

Where the grass is greener.
I’ve been watching Dortmund every chance I’ve got since he went there purely for him, if he’d gone anywhere else but here I’d have been gutted. Felt it in my gut since he left City he was destined to play for us.

Super super excited with this acquisition. I watched a lot of bundesliga football this season and i can tell you he is the real deal. It‘s not only that i think he can beat any defender (can‘t wait to see him sending Virgil to the cinema) but he is such an intelligent passer as well.

This transfer just gives me this feeling we can get back the glory days. I‘ve missed that.

He’s both the right player and a star player. I think we’re taking the route of filling the gaps with the best quality/fit we can. We could go and three good players to fill the holes or take our time and maybe not fix every issue we have over one window.

I don't think it does. Sure, he is young and he will gives us more in attacking zone. I give you that. That isn't a problem. Problem is that we can't complain when injuries come and we have to play those who aren't up for it because all our budget went on Sancho. I'm for buying working players now that we got already quality upfront. Not star players that, based on latest years, haven't lived up to expectations. Except Fernandes. This is a risk. If we end up buying I hope it turns out great.

When it comes to Sanchez I'm waiting for officiall statement. To many times players have signed for clubs that actually never happened.

What a fantastically exciting thing this would be to get sorted early in the transfer window. News couldn’t actually get much better. CL football and a genuine star in the making on the right. Awesome options up front.

much more developed and exposed than Martial, who was very raw and required plenty of coaching.
Sancho comes with so much of his eduction already complete.
I share your excitement!
