With a first name like that, we can safely rule out a potential WWE partnership of any form if we sign him. :p

Notice that Gabriel is 190cm so would say Badiashile has a bit more physical presence than him, however it really depends what kind of player that we are looking for in this position

The CB situation is quite weird. Looks like we are approaching it with one foot Inside one foot outside. The Badiashile and Gabriel links is like when we were linked with Salisu. We are showing very little urgency in signing any of them compared to other clubs linked to these players

Because we are just working out how much the Sancho deal will be? Seems obvious you'd hang on whilst this is finalised.

It seems with Badiashile, Gabriel and Pau Torres we are looking at a specific type of defender: young, good pace, all round decent to good defensive ability and just as important very good passing and technical ability. We are on the right track.

Yeah I like that we're identifying the traits we want and need, rather then just picking any player that looks good, but doesn't fit our side.

Base on tackles and interceptions, Benoit seems to have better positioning and honestly he appears to be better technically.

I really want him, not even expecting him to start straight away but with some time he’d kick Lindelof out of the starting 11. He doesn’t seem to suffer from many of the issues young CBs suffer from and that gives him a higher base from which to rise.

Even if he does go to Leverkusen I believe we’ve been tracking him for years so I could see us buying him from them in a couple of seasons if he continues on this trajectory.

From the YouTube videos he looks better and a bigger talent than Gabriel. Hope we get Benoit if it comes down to it.

Gabriel's the Vidic, Badiashile's the Ferdinand. Sign them both.

Go into the season with
1st choice Badiashile Maguire
2nd choice Gabriele Lindelof
Development Tuanzebe

Out goes
Jones, Smalling, Rojo and Bailly....

Well unless its just the press spinning the line from the current situation, it appears quite obvious that with a deal for Sancho, there are limited finances to go towards rebuilding in other important areas. So it would make sense we are currently enquiring as to the availability and possible prices of these players as we also work out the payment structure on SAncho.

Realistically we NEED four signings minimum, I actually think we will make just three though and at least one of those other deals is going to have to be under £30m realistically

Yeah that is a definite possibility but would be great if we could get him now at a bargain price.

Gabriel is 4 years older than Bafiashile and projected to be a Thiago Silva's successor in Brazil. I don't think he wants to be a second choice here.

Yeah my gut feeling is that the CB signing will be under the £30m mark. I would presume that your fourth signing would have been a DM or were you thinking of a backup LB.

Well we do need at least one quick CB. It does annoy me that it will be Lindelof who pays the price and not Maguire though.

Never watched him playing. Based on youtube videos, he looks great. Big and strong, fast, awesome tackle and as importantly, seems to have a really awesome pass.

If his positioning is good, and is highly rated, then could be a decent signing especially with him costing 20-30m. We definitely need another defender if Mike leaves, considering that only two out of our 6CBs (not counting Mike) can stay fit.

Its promising we are looking at a very specific profile for players. I think CB is not our priority for this transfer window but more of a project who can be a starter in a year's time.

Yeah I think Grealish fits the criteria of talented player looking to make step up despite him looking like a backup creative option.

He looks absolutely sensational in the videos. Fast, big as a house and with a great left foot. Himself and Maguire would be a monstrous pair.

Yeah he definitely looks to have a serious presence in those videos but Bouhafsi still reckons he is likely to join Leverkusen.

Yeah. We'll see. Realistically we have no idea how good he really is.

Presence wise he's of the perfect profile at least.

We all love United
Can i say he’s a typical old fashioned defender who just loves defending? Like a bulkier AWB? He absolutely takes no shite from opposing strikers in those videos
