People complain about lack of quality signing and squad depth then this.

If Sancho is proven to be better than any of our current front 3, that's a good thing. Why would we want to keep playing players who does not perform regularly? Just because they are our youth players?!

Then people complain about standard dropping or some shite later.

Ya imo you guys are making a steal here (and people will realise that in 1-2 years) and everyone should rather be happy that Sancho is even willing to join United because I'm sure he could pick any club he wanted (he certainly could next summer).
You don't get such a chance that often and if it weren't for Sane I'd feel even we are missing out here (we were close to signing him before he went to Dortmund).
Who is Sancho most similar to in terms of playstyle? Watched him a few times for England but would like the opinion of a Bundesliga watcher.

Why would we do that? Rashford has made lw to his.
Also rashford finished third in fwa. Inexplicably. Martial had a better goals per minute, the same prem goals and just one less assist. And he wasnt even in the top 20. Agendas by the British media of course

He really hasn't. Hes still very raw. He plays like a youngster whos just broken through into the team, despite having 4 years under his belt. Hes the weak link out of martial rashford greenwood. Id still start him next year and drop greenwood because of his age but if mason continues on this trajectory rashford might soon find himself as the first sub off the bench
Before the injury, I think he was pivotal in our offence. However you might be right. I really welcome the competition between players. It will definitely make us stronger if all of them have the right mindset.

Sorry mate, I was just joking around. I have redcafe on one monitor and was watching Anchorman on another
It's okay, no hard feelings although that internet break would do you no harm.

We're still meeting after the school.

When we are spending this kind of money, we really need to be looking to do it.
The pressure is going to be immense. No side will want to play us
Despite buying RB and CB, I still feel we are lacking in that area to be on the next level but I agree it's been way too long that we have really challenged for a big trophy.

That’s common. Didn’t we do the same with Bruno and Martial?
Not common for all players. I wouldn't complain about paying every single addon if it include winning Ballon d'or and Champions league

If you’ve got Pogba Bruno and Martial to stop through the middle and 2 of Rashford, Greenwood and Sancho to stop from the wings (with the other coming off the bench) it will be a headache for most sides preparing to face us.

Martial
Rashford Fernandes Sancho
Matic Pogba
LB Badiashile Maguire AWB
De Gea

Two more signings off having a shit hot 11. Get me a left back and a starter centreback and it will be the most anticipated season since Jose signed Pogba atleast.

We can sign the Matic replacement next year unless McTominay makes it his own.

100% I'd sign the Spanish leftback just to give Dave a new Spanish friiiieeennd.
We seriously underrate Shaw on here, outside of Robertson how many left backs can genuinely be said as definitely better than Shaw is ? You only have to look at Rashford’s form in the final couple of games of the season to see how much better he is having Shaw there instead of Williams.

Also don’t see Badiashile coming straight in as first choice IF we do sign him, surely at his age and being new to the league we’d ease him in especially seeing as Lindelof and Maguire have developed a decent partnership albeit one lacking in pace.

McTominay isn’t a Matic replacement as he’s more a box to box player with ball winning qualities rather than a defensive midfield with a good range of passing and comfortable bringing the ball out from the back, McTominay is much more the replacement for Herrera and why we didn’t both signing anyone after he left.

Absolutely agree. Im completely rooting for him. Theres a player there and hopefully the competition brings it out of him finally

James and Ighalo are excellent back ups and are perfect if you want to prevent this sadness you’re so desperate to avoid.

Our front 6 with depth is basically

Rashford, Martial, Sancho, greenwood, ighalo, James. Plus a few others who might move on. Not bad at all!

I bet Rashford is fuming his mate is about to join him.
Exactly. If one of Liverpool’s front 3 gets injured there is a massive drop in quality. Ighalo and James will be happy on the bench and do a job. I’m not James’ biggest fan but given the players around him and his pace surely he will learn a few things.

I still think we a bit weak defensively but I will take a fluid attack for a couple of seasons. We haven’t had it since Fergie retired!

This better not be Pogba MK2:
  • Hugely talented youngster leaves Manchester for club abroad in search of first team football
  • Club abroad nourishes the youngster whilst he becomes the real deal
  • Manchester club spend upwards of 100 million to bring said youngster 3-4 years later
  • Profit?

So the fee is agreed at £108m. The contract is agreed. All that’s waiting is how we pay the money and Dortmund have publicly said that they will accept 108m however it comes.. Surely nobody is still worried that this isn’t absolutely done?
Not until i see him at OT posing with a utd scarf

I must say that Ole's vision in terms of recruitment has been quite refreshing to see compared to our previous recruitment

'tis a silly place
Seem like I m being misinterpreted. I m saying we shouldn’t sign Sancho if we can’t fix other areas of our team and we should be cautious about the intra squad conflict. MMM is already one of the best attack in football, so there shouldn’t be any rush to fix what is not broken. Rather we need to support the development of MMM with players who can provide competition for their spot.
We have three attacking players of the requisite level for this club. Martial, Rashford, Greenwood. The moment one of them is out we have to turn to Mata, Lingard, or Perreira. Attack is very much our area of need. We have other areas to improve, but the idea that our attack is a “if it ain’t broke” kinda situation is madness to me.

Not only that but the numbers of goals scored is the biggest difference between us and City/Liverpool.

Top quality attacking players win you football matches.

I think people forget when we had ronaldo, rooney, tevez, berbatov and nani as options across the front. The squad got shit

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
If we sign Sancho and still finish on or around 66 points for the 3rd season in a row next season then I'm fully on board with the idea that we're just cursed or that Fergie sold his soul to the devil for the dominance he achieved

This is an amazing signing if it happens. I don't believe we should have had as bad a season as we had points wise, but there can be absolutely no excuses anymore.

He's been on the clubs radar long before Ole to be fair. Though as far as the managers go, I doubt Mourinho would be on the same page.

Amongst footballing managerial 'Gods'
I feel like I have transcended and either I have become a football knowledgeable god or some people just don’t understand football. Since the addition of Bruno and MMM, our output has been better or even equivalent to Liverpool and City. There is no big difference that exist with our strongest eleven. The only notable difference that exist is squad depth and one that is managerial . The starting eleven is the aspect that I am referring to when I stated that if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. I am well aware that we need more strength in depth. @Dominos and @Gazza
