Fairly evident that those who think we've suddenly got a defence comparable to Madrid have only watched them once or twice this season.

Our own defensive record isn't even impressive within our own last 5 years. It's better than last years horror show but that's not saying much.

Madrid spent over 300 million in the summer and they look half a squad away from being a top side. Spain's top teams are horrific in the transfer market these days.

Doesn't look like Juve will get that goal

Hope Lyon go through but Juventus will get the job done I'm sure.

Mate it drives me crazy on this forum. They aren't superstars but I swear some are convinced that no other teams concede goals. They have been mostly very good this season.
Certainly since the Burnley match. If they can keep that form up, we'd be back to the kind of goals against stats we had a decade ago.

That's Juve done then, no Pjanic or Dybala equals no creativity. Can't see anyone else being a creative outlet, only hope now is another Ronaldo special.

How has Dybala been post restart?

He was testing positive for over a month.. any indications that his fitness has been affected? or totally unrelated ?

Long may it continue.

We should try our luck. If we put enough makeup on Rojo, they might have him.

Sutton is not content with just calling us YOO-nited. He's now saying YOO-ventus.

They are not really that far ahead of us if we can add Sancho and 2 more quality first team players.
Yes I think you’re right there but the Madrid and Barca teams we had to face are on a different level to their current teams.

What’s the obsession with comparing all the time?, I just don’t get it , Maguire plays for us, Varane doesn’t and never will, pointless

At Chelsea, Hazard would have made the difference in a game like this one. Is it too soon to claim he is as bad for Madrid as Sanchez was for us ?

Can’t Juve find a better keep than Scenzy?
They've still got Buffon knocking about somewhere. I can only think the plan is to wait for some kind of time machine to be invented to stick him in.

He's always under-performed in the Champions League.

This is nothing new.

Looks like Bayern are the only real hope to stop City winning this.

Madrid were totally dominated tonight, especially their midfield. Top class performance from City.
