isn't he implying it's all part of these briefing games?
Not sure if Fab read the whole thread, but this guy was trying to suggest Dortmund would sign him down on an improved contract if we don't manage to sign him this window. He wasn't suggesting it was part of the games. Kept alluding to the Bild article. Even if it's a one year extension, it would maintain his value somewhat and other clubs would be better primed/more eager to strike next window. Genuinely feel it's this window or bust with this kid for us.

Edit: I'm just going to assume Fab was responding to the games part, rather than this report having any validity

Fabrizio actually replied to that tweet, which is worrying

This Romano character is the same goose that stated we had made offers for Fabinho a while ago and it came out later we had never been in contact with the club..once a bull artist always a bull artist if you ask me.

There's 2 days left... it seems we won't give Dortmund what they want...
Well worst we still have Rashford, Martial and Greenwood for next season, not the end of the world! And actually good news for Greenwood, he can now developed fully in the next season, starting all the games whenever he is fit to do so!
Next summer we will come back again with 60m+0+0 offer! If Dortmund still being stubborn, we'll get him for free 2 years later!

You know what, let them offer him double salary. We should not bend over.

Where is Raiola when you need someone throwing chairs in Dortmund..

You forgot young Jesse and Mata as well. Seriously if Jadon becomes cheaper then he would attract other clubs including Liverpool were he wants to go.

I understand that the club might have budget limits. However let's not postpone the RW for another year. If needs be then we go and sign plan b

Why wouldn't he? Its a better side with a better manager
It’s not like we are bottom of the barrel by any means. Perhaps he’d like to be known as a big piece of the puzzle to get us back on track to our winning ways. They may be better now, but we are more dominant from a marketing stand point (which I assume would matter at least a little bit). He’d start for us day one, I’m not sure that he would be a guaranteed starter for Liverpool. Also he’d get to play with Rashford who he appears to be quite close with. I’m not saying he would rather join us, but there’s reasons to believe he would. I just wasn’t sure if I had missed an interview or something where he said something to make people believe that.

Sure we all want Sancho. But like you said, club has its budget limit, especially in this COVID market, we have already loss 150m so far. So I could understand we are not being able to pay up 120m Dortmund want, if that's really the case.

Why do people keep saying next year he would rather go to Liverpool, did I miss something?
They are the champion of England this year, and champion of Europe last year. They are heading towards a full-decade domination both in Premier League and Champions League if Sancho joins them. That's why.

Naturally I want us to get the best deal possible but we have to know when the risk of haggling outweighs it's benefits. Hopefully our negotiators are mindful of that. It's all well and good playing hardball for a player who have interest and another for one who is your absolutely priority.

Essentially, don't mind this taking time, that's fine, but don't feck it up Woodward and team.

They are the ones winning the EPL title and the CL while we are celebrating our ticket to the CL.

Also players tend to be confident people. Jadon might fancy his chances at Liverpool whom in turn has much better chances of winning him trophies then we do

My point is that we need to take decisions as starting the season again with no RW is nearly as moronic as starting last season with no new CM.

We literally never win these games of chicken. Each time we give in, we make these transfer negotiations more of a fool's errand, yet we keep trying. Ridiculous.

I am starting to agree with Romano in that deadline stuff being total BS,however we should stop trying to undercut them on the first instalment. This is our focus signing and if we can't get the others done then so be it

We need to send a loud and clear and message that we won't be held to ransom over players. If Dortmund won't accept a price that's reasonable then we will move on and they will be left with an unhappy player. We have too many other areas of the squad that need addressing to be spending all our resources focusing on this for weeks and weeks on end.

Dithering United. Fecking annoying how slow we move in the market. You have to pay up if you want quality players unfortunately.

Edit - Osimhen costed Napoli 80m, Felix 130m and Maguire 80m. All logic is out of the window with football. Cough up the money.

Not easy as said, how about a scenario when multiple club interested in him next season or year after that, this year we don't find much competition, having said that I wouldn't say that we should bend for whatever Dortmund demands but need to find the middle ground where both clubs happy with the trade.

Fecking end this already. If you can give 70 million for Maguire you can pay 120 for one of the most talented young players in the world who is versatile and can play on the positions where we need a player of that calibre. Plus you probably wont have to worry if he will adapt. It is not like he comes from Brazil.
If not pray to all gods that all our offensive minded players stay healthy and in a good shape with so many matches to come.

What is the issue if multiple clubs are interested next season? How many clubs out there can match our financial offer? Also if Sancho doesn't want to come here when more clubs are interested, maybe it's for the better then. Stop being so insecure about it. Our position is extremely strong and Dortmund knows it. 12 months down the line with huge gate receipt losses, a lot of clubs will be reluctant to pay the transfer fee that they might even afford this year. If not then getting players which doesn't want to play here got us into this mess.

For all accounts right now, he wants to come. We are not asked 10-20m, 120m euros is huge amount, it's almost 1/5th of our revenue. No club which is self sufficient can take such decisions lightly. The amount of insecurity that is their in our fanbase is staggering. We are not some small club and even next year we will have good enough chance to land Sancho. Financial health of United is also important so that we don't stop just at getting Sancho.

I agree that Sancho is that sort of player, but he is to expensive. We got Christiano Ronaldo at a bargain and that turned out well. Kubo is the player I see as similar to our Ronaldo acquisition and as an alternative that will allow us to bring in other notable players like Grelish, Jimenez and Camaviga or Tonali. Our starting 11 is probably the best in the premier league as since the restart, we are number 1 in the league. The factors that made that happen is primary Bruno and MMM, supported by our solid defense and return of Pogba and Matic finding some decent form. We can’t play that strong 11 most games, so we need strong back up as well and my plan affords that.
If I was Ole I would have a look at Zaniolo. He's young, he's done very well at Roma and he can play as RW, AM, MC which means that if we do sign Jadon next season then we can move him in a different role. I'd say 40m-50m + Smalling could do the trick.

He is coming off a major injury, am not sure both parties i.e United and the player will want to do the deal. I like him though and believe he will be a top player.

His injury makes him a bit of a risk but honestly he's the biggest talent coming out of Italy. The fact that he plays anywhere across midfield (RW, LW, AMC, MC) means that we'll be able to accommodate Jadon if we ever sign him up next season + we'll have this quality cover/competition for Bruno/Pogba that Ole seems craving for. Finally Roma aren't top spenders salary wise and the pungent criticism raised against him lately (typical Italian mentality to criticise young players) might play in our favour.

I think the 'right-sided Hazard' comparisons are quite apt when talking about the way Sancho dribbles, but another player he reminds me of is Franck Ribery. Build is very similar and the way they run with and release the ball is almost identical at times.

If, and I know it’s a big if, Sancho doesn’t sign this season, would you like to sign a second choice RW (Coman, Bailey, Sarr etc) or wait until next year to try and sign Sancho again?
In other words, can we neglect that RW signing for another year now that we have Mason Greenwood stepping up? I know if we get hit by an injury we are looking very low on quality, this was exasperated by Daniel James’ performance against Lask on Weds night.
