There has been talk of Sancho coming to United for over a year now, long before Covid made an appearance, and I haven't noticed much in the way of competition for his signature during that time. PSG, City, Real, among others, could all afford him. Why aren't they making waves?
I don't know if you follow transfer news of other clubs, but those teams you've mentiond most definitely can't afford him this summer. This has been publicised already through multiple mediums. Liverpool who have just won every trophy they can over the last 18 months had to pull out of their prime target in Timo Werner because they couldnt afford to match the package Chelsea offered. Chelsea were fortunate in this window that they had 2 windows worth of cash saved up due to their ban.

Madrid have already accepted that they need to sell in order to raise funds for major new signings. City have declared themselves out of the running from him because of the fallout they had when he left. Sancho does not want to return to City and they do not want to pursue a player who doesn't want to be at their club.

From your messages, I'm suspecting that you don't actually thing Sancho is worth signing? Other clubs not being in for him at the price of 120m Euro is not the best indicator of judging how good he is.

There are still 2 months remaining in the current transfer window, who knows what other clubs are prepared to spend for the betterment of their squads.

Barca already spent too much on their attack. Real Madrid are likely aiming for Mbappe. PSG still have a world class attack. Sancho has fallen out with Pep/City. Liverpool can't afford him. Arsenal can't afford him. United should be favored over Bayern regardless, but they bought Sane.

Seems like it was between Chelsea vs United. United prioritized Sancho and Chelsea chose to go with more players by buying Pulisic, then Ziyech, and Werner. Now going after Havertz.

Just surprises me that no one else has declared an interest in Sancho if only to drive up the fee for United. It's not unheard of.

Mate, the thought of Sancho signing for United gets excited in ways I cannot declare for fear of legal repercussions. He's worth every penny of the quoted £108 million fees, and perhaps even north of that figure.

He's the perfect fit for our club, an essential signing if ever there was one.

Dortmund will sell for sure IMO and won't want to risk seeing the players value drop exponentially next summer. Also it's reported that City will receive a percentage of the transfer fee which would be a bigger concern for Dortmund if they held onto the player until next summer.

Why would it be a bigger concern?

It’s interesting, we can laugh at him “just finding out”, but c’mon seriously, he’s credible and well connected. He’s unlikely to tweet this for shits and giggles, reckon he’s heard something.

Looking at his timeline he rarely tweets about transfers too. He’s only tweeted 2 including that one since the window opened. Both about Sancho.

Do you reckon thats how Howard Nurse uses google?

Like that lad who fixed his grandparents computer and their search history was full of “Excuse me google can you please tell me the best fertiliser for roses please” and such like.

*Sits down at his computer*

”Right let’s see what all this fuss is about....”

”Sancho then“

Howard Nurse with potentially the most pointless tweet of the saga, making this the most pointless post of the saga
Most pointless "so far".

It can and no doubt will get worse.

I reckon he has heard something and has been told not to say anything specific yet. This look like it's about to conclude. I say tomorrow is Sancho Day.

They did report 10th August was some sort of deadline, so maybe he's merely questioning that.

This guy doesn't break anything!

At least we’re on the same page. I thought you didn’t rate him at one point.

I’ve watched Sancho quite closely and the thought of him has my blood rushing! He is the real deal and we are so damn lucky the global circumstances mean we are the only ones in for him!

Honestly mate, we can not afford to let this go to next summer. There will be a shed load of clubs wanting him even if they have to pay over the odds with him having one year left on his contract.

No signing is ever a guarantee but some players are game changers which you just have to gamble on. I honestly don’t think he is a gamble though.

Never thought I’d see the day where Howard Nurse took the twitter world by storm with two simple words! Could he have just broken one of the biggest transfers in the history of football.... probably not!
