I managed the Shels on FM some year before they get relegated, I built a decent team with a 120k/year as a salary budget, with the super Jason Byrne upfront, what a striker!
Shelbourne back then where a fantastic side at that level. Unbeatable in Dublin. Deportivo came to Dublin Couldn't beat them (3 nil to Deportivo in Spain) in the champions league qualifer.

Unfortunately shelbournes great squad nearly put them out of business. They where getting small crowds around 2k and where paying players rumoured to be up to 3k a week.

But LOI economics are mad, drogheda, Derry City, Cork, bohs etc all either went out of business and reformed or very nearly went out of business.

But their has been some fantastic sides though

100%. I love him myself. I just thought that part of the tweet was funny as you could lay those claims against Wes too.
Oh I see. Ha yeah that's true.

He's not the right fit because his name is not James Harry. Seriously though how much of a right fit do you need to be. Ole keeps shuffling between Pereira and Lingard and they are clearly not the right fit yet they won't be sold. So what's the right fit nonsense when there lots of players better than our current AMs that we can get in January

Norwixh are the worst team in the league, yet their players are constantly linked with other teams. I just dont get it

If Norwich lose on Wedensday they will probably need 20-23 point in their last 14 games after getting 17 from the first 23 games.

Is there a chance they would let Buendia leave in january? I would prefer him rather than Fernandes. Players from abroad (different leagues) usually need time.

Usually...

Anyway, still think Buendia is a great option and that we could miss out on a great player if we decide not to pursue him due to trying to get Sancho.

He is a great passer with an even better engine. Watching how Pep decided to go for KdB and Bernardo Silva up front yesterday was a bit of a reminder of how important energy and stamnia (combined with a good football brain) is. Ferguson used to have players like Beckham, Giggs, Park, Valencia and even Fletcher out wide. Different players, but every single one of them played with so much energy.

He will leave this summer and the club that gets him are lucky.

Terrific player. Think he'll go for about £20mil, which would represent fantastic value. We need depth; having him on a bench to come on when we are struggling to break a team down would be massive.

He's certainly going to be a bargain for somebody, but he shouldn't be instead of Sancho.

The issue for me is he's another player that wants to tuck inside the pitch and will take more space away from Pogba/Bruno.

I'd prefer a wide man like Mahrez that'll stay out wide then tuck in once they have it.

He's not starting at the moment, dropped for Rupp who isn't a winger and has been very poor.

Farke has called him out for lack of goals, but something doesn't seem right between Farke and Buendia these days.

Will definately leave if they are relegated, so he'd be a cheap squad option. A creative player with room for improvement.

Since when are ‘Emilianos’ shortened into fecking ‘Emi’?

That’s the most annoying thing I’ve seen in ages.

Looks decent the small amount of times we see him.

I'd be worried the likes of Perreira would look the same level when allowed to play 90mins every week for a lesser team though.

Heh, maybe not. That is probably the most impressive thing about him in my opinion. At the time I was thinking about players like Fred, Fabinho, Keita (still struggeling), Bernardo Silva, Lo Celso and Ndombele (still struggel) who took quite a lot of time to adapt.

Looking at those players, arriving from Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and La Liga, it felt very unlikely that a player could arrive from Portugal and make such a huge impact in the middle of a season.

This guy is a legit alternative to Sancho if Dortmund insist on continuing with this game of silly buggers. He's 23, would be available relatively cheaply and statistically one of the best right sided forwards in Europe last season, despite playing for a relegated side. With the emergence of Greenwood he doesn't really has to be seen as a XI option but would add quality in depth.

He's a great alternative to Grealish, can play drifting in from the wing or centrally and could be a good squad option to add some creativity when Pogba/Bruno are out.

I think we need someone who is more well-rounded in the first XI on the right, though, who can both create and score goals. Sancho really is head and shoulders above all the other possible options.

I'd take a chance on Buendia as a squad player. Seems like the sort of player who'd thrive in better company and is an upgrade on what we have in reserve currently, looking at his attributes I think he could be fairly versatile and if his discipline improves with experience he'd be a handy player to have. Trouble is, if we don't pull off the Sancho deal, it's a massive anti-climax to go from bringing in one of the hottest talents in Europe to a lad that's just been relegated.

I thought he plays more as a 10

I like him too, but he isn't a RW/RF so the Sancho situation has no bearing. He's more of an attacking mid, an upgrade on players like Mata, Lingard and Pereira.

I'd personally prefer him to Grealish and I'm pretty sure he'd come in a lot cheaper too.
