We are running out of things to say so we will certainly need a transfer request from him to add another 50 pages to this thread and try beat the Pogba one
Just waiting for next BVB press conference where Zorc denies said transfer request and informs the press that Sancho has now signed a new contract.

Having an asset at the club that doesn't want to be there and as a result might lose worth it does make a difference yes. Many examples of players not performing to their level at clubs they don't want to be at. Not saying this is the case here but if he wants to joins us this is his way to go.
I'm sure they would already know that anyway. I just don't get this seemingly formal act of "handing in a transfer request". I only ever hear this in conjunction with the PL

I saw a lot of people on here say that but I don't recall a journalist saying it.

As you say the price is the price.
I think we are making this whole thing bigger than it is.

Dortmund said 120m and they will accept.

We want to negotiate a price, they wont budge.

Didn't we have this with Pogba last summer? Real offered a crap fee and we kept hold of him. If they really wanted him, they would have paid the £100m

Same applies, if we want Sancho, we will pay the money. We paid £80m on Maguire upfront without CL football.

I know its covid and all, it hasnt stopped some clubs.

I think handing a formal transfer request basically forfeits certain loyalty related payments, so to do that, the player will really have to be sure they want to move.

I doubt Sancho is that desperate. He seems happy at Dortmund in general in the last few years.

Nobody has reacted like that. Just that whatever Zorc says now means feck all. Which is the case.
Well.. it was a hyperbole, but the general theme for a lot of posters is to take every statement as a personal affront and then react accordingly.

Doesn't a transfer request waive the players right to their loyalty bonus or something?
I think he'd then veto his share of the transfer fee - So essentially we'd pay less but they'd get the same amount as they'd also get Sancho's loyalty bonus
Ah okay. So does the 120m fee factor in this loyalty bonus? Any idea what it is?

by most accounts he wants to leave because he is homesick, not because he doesn't enjoy playing for Dortmund.

If that's the case then surely no amount of extra money will make a difference. Maybe Dortmund will allow him extra trips home when he feels like it to sweeten him over?

it certainly does seem like Sancho will have to force their hands though if he does want it to happen.

How has Woodward 'done his best to mess this one up' ?
He agreed a deal, then went back on his word after he found out match day income would be affected by the UK governments announcement that fans wouldn't be allowed back into stadiums at the start of the season.

Eh? No we don't

AWB is a class RB and has transformed our output on the RB position.

Shaw is still a solid defender and we know when he's injured and Williams is a fantastic player, we don't need any new fullbacks.
AWB offers such a weak attacking output. Shaw is very underrated, but when he's injured his replacement is a RB playing on the left, who as a result offers very little width as they are always moving inside. It's absolutely unacceptable that a club with our aspirations has fullbacks who offer so little offensively. AWB is great defensively, but if we are overloading their defence with runs etc. they will have less opportunity to get into our half to attack us anyway.

I genuinely believe Laird will take his position if given the opportunity, which so far hasn't happened.

Who can out BS eachother the most.
These so called specialists are losing credibility. Not just the Sancho deal but Havertz too. They keep saying talks ongoing, which is something everyone knows.

We all know what happens when United get linked to players, it is a media craze.

Our complaints that Dortmund aren't taking Corona into consideration is the most stupid thing we can be telling the press.
Why should Dortmund take Corona into consideration? They aren't willing sellers. Its like a club trying to buy Martial and telling us to consider Corona. It's idiotic.
Yeah very true.

Just pay the money or feck off Eddy, that’s exactly what I would be telling him if I were Zorc.

Would love to ask them both on a scale of 1 to 100 how full of s*** they both are.

Neither had a clue about Sancho extending his deal till 2023 so they have absolutely no idea on this transfer. It's just pure guess work and like every other transfer there's only 2 options, they either join or they don't. Nothing of what either have said is actually like a real scoop. They just feed off transfer muppets from various clubs.

Sancho doesn't look like the type of player that will put on a transfer request but I hope he does as this is really the only way BVB might think about lowering the price a little bit.

How can anyone call these people unreliable? Their track record speaks for itself and I'd trust them over any other sources, even the club's.

Stating that Manchester United is a 'multibillion company' demonstrates just how little you understand the finances of the club, let alone the impact of covid19. In 2019, our total revenue was €711m. Let alone multi billion, Manchester United does not even turnover 1 billion.

Also, Id like to know what authority or evidence you use to determine that covid impact will be minimal 'barely top in the ocean'.

You should become more educated on this before writing such inaccurate opinions.
What is it with some of you lot and your exaggerated responses to nothing posts. So fecking dramatic.

When I have ever claimed to be an authority on anything football-related and when did I ever say the club turnover £1 billion annually? The club is worth north of £3.5 billion. Fact. Go ahead and check on Forbes yourself if you dispute that.

I went on to explain my point in detail further into the thread. I'd summerise if I felt like being nice, but I don't right now. I'm taking my ball and going home.

I have to say I'm really surprised by how strong the napoleon complex is in German football fans. Spurs must be popular in Germany.

Yes they confirm the blindingly obvious very well for those who struggle with the obvious.

Like confirming we are in talks, groundbreaking stuff.
Anyone who thinks Romano in particular doesn’t have really solid connections is deluded. He’s first on so many deals.

Makes sense for them to appear in a podcast together since they're all being used by the same people, including the supposedly infallible "Here We Go" guy.

But still he miraculously has become a somehow official unofficial speaker for Dortmund here. You were warned, @do.ob said it many times, now there is a dissapointment. Which could have been prevented.
That's not the point though - he was asked some simple questions on ESPN he just kept rambling incoherently.

Redcafe woke up today
Many posters in collective dismay

Bundesliga posters rejoice,
It seems many have found their voice

A Dortmund player Sancho will remain
As Muppet dreams stutter and wane

And so, the transfer season starts
Like a dagger into United hearts.

That's what makes them reliable... I really don't understand some of you lot, would you rather they bullshit about what's happening for you lot to call them liars, instead? You do realise people can have connections and have knowledge on a situation, without being informed of every little detail, right? They may not have known about the contract extension because that wasn't communicated to them, doesn't mean everything else they've been told is incorrect.

Extremely reliable that they didn't even know about Sancho's new contract? If they had any inside info on this deal they'd have known about it for sure. This Fabrizio Romano guy is just the new Di Marzio. Eventually he got loads of stuff wrong too and nobody hardly mentions him these days. Funny that.....

They think if Romano saying we are still in talks is somehow holding back the deal, and Chutney prefers his League 2 sources.
